As always, great experience! One of our favorite
Went to celebrate my 24th birthday.... server was great however we did experience some issues....our glasses were dirty when our cocktails arrived (mine even had an old mint leaf in it from the previous person) YUCK! My friends salmon had foil in it... and then my other friends pasta was very dry & bland.... My food was great though! I ordered the stuffed Cod which was delicious.... so overall experience was OK.... like I said server was great but the restaurant failed him
Food was good overall. My veggies could’ve been warmer, but everything tasted very good!
My only complaint is that one of the managers was wearing his mask improperly (nose not covered). This was an issue for me because he was serving food.
Food was ok. Not worth the price. Seems like quality has gone down over previous years, maybe because not owned by Cameron Mitchell restaurants. Our server was very good. Entrance had cigarette butts near it. Not the beat presentation. Inside was dark and dreary.
Incredible food options. The best fresh fish
The food was incredibly salty
poor service and food quality/variety. Not like it used to be.
The food was amazing, the service was good and our entire dinner party enjoyed themselves immensely.
Valentines Day
The food was wonderful. Will definitely go back. Thank you.
Excellent service and excellent food! We’re never disappointed when we eat at Columbus Fish Market.
It was a nice Valentine’s. Food was spot on. Delicious.
The atmosphere was alittle dated- for what your paying - you would think place would look alittle nicer.
The ceiling has water stains through restaurant. Over all the company and food was spectacular
Truly abysmal. Well over a hundred dollars for rubbery shrimp, rubbery fish, potatoes that sat so long under a heat lamp that they had a hard shell around them when I finally got them. Our reserved seat was in a small box of a room with two other tables, without any ambience or music. I cannot overstate how disappointing this meal was; I can, however, state with confidence that I will not return to this restaurant, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone whose happiness I value.
Valentine Day! The food was fantastic but service was not that great and it just didn’t hold the Cameron Mitchell standard for us. The bathroom trash cans were overflowing in the bathroom itself is pretty dirty. Not some thing I would expect out of one of his places
Very good place. Definitely going back again! 5 stars!
My fiancé and I had made this reservation some time back, as availability can sometimes be a challenge at this restaurant. We had a 7:00PM reservation on Saturday February 13th, 2021. Immediately, we were insulted by the young, female bartender in the bar area and we were told that they were “not permitted” to put more than 2 ounces of alcohol in any drink?! Seriously?! So a double bourbon could not be accommodated.
The next hour and a half was full of disappointments. The gumbo soup had been burnt and tasted heavily of ash and burnt bits. After one bite, the bitter taste in my mouth was so foul! Then came the appetizers. The shrimp cocktail was good, but the fried calamari had all of the batter falling off of the meat before I even got it into my mouth. Do you use any binding element with your batter?
Then came the centerpiece of the meal. The $35.00 crab cakes. Upon looking at the crab cakes, I could immediately see that they were severely undercooked. Upon sinking my fork into the cake to try a taste of the undercooked crab, the entire cake fell apart. I then elected to taste the crab. UGH! I have never tasted something so bland and disappointing in my entire life! The only element of seasoning came from the house tarter sauce that was provided. My fiancé said the exact same thing.
At the end of the night, the bill came. With a 25% tip (not the waitresses’ fault the food was terrible), the total came to $175.00 for (1) bourbon, (1) soft drink, two appetizers, and two entrees. This restaurant was so highly recommended and between the lousy service (bartender) and the nasty food, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I liked.
Oh, by the way, please clean your restrooms. The last time I was in a restroom that looked that bad, I was in a Port-A-Potty at a local fair. If you’re going to charge these prices, then make sure that your service, your restaurant, and your food is worthy of such prices. Extremely disappointing. 0 out of 5 stars.
Columbus Fish market is usually a good date night spot. I was disappointed that they were out of oysters at 7:30 on a Valentines Day weekend but the shrimp cocktail was fresh but I wish there were 6 instead of 5 shrimp. The Lobster Bisque is the BEST in the city. My Chilean sea bass was delicious but the sides could have been a little more creative.
We have dinned at a lot of Cameron Mitchell restaurants and have have found the service has always been exceptional. However, when we ate at the Fish Market we felt rushed through our meal. We were able to eat and pay for a 4-course meal in under an hour. My spouse and I were out on a much needed date night without the kids and were looking for a relaxing dinner, this was not the case. Our server had too many tables so they were rushing around the entire time we were there. They basically took our order, put the order in and we were served. The food was HOT when it came from the kitchen. We have no complaints about the food and our server was very nice...just BUSY. I had the King Crab legs that were great but I was not given the proper tools to open them. We would probably go back again but not for a relaxing date night.
I only choose this location due to the West Chester and Newport locations abrupt closings and I won’t be back! There was no wait...but the food was cold and tasteless; it tasted frozen.
Great food and service would certainly come back for any occasion.
I've been here many many times and it's always great! My gf and I went on Saturday, Feb. 13th at 3pm. It was not overly crowded but it was steady. We sat at the bar. The bartender was "newer" he said; been there 7 months. He was clearly overwhelmed. We ordered drinks, then an appetizer along with our meals. We both ordered salads too. Our shrimp appetizer was amazing. Popped a couple of those in our mouths and her salad was delivered. Then our meals! It was crazy, not even 2 minutes after our appetizer! I immediately told them I didn't want my salad. I had scallops, she had the Shanghai sea bass. Both were delicious! I had also placed a "to go" order. It was not ready by the time we finished and we're slow. I cancelled it, except for the carrot cake. You gotta try the carrot cake!! The had charged me for my salad. I know it was Valentines but the service and kitchen were very disappointing-all the food, YUM!
We did our pre-valentine dinner and it was delicious. I had the vanilla bean creme Brule. It was caramelized all over the top but it was still good..
the fried calamari is to die for !! I had shrimp and chips and it was so good!!
Amazing food, atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Service was great. Very impressed. This was our first time here.
My fish was ok, however my husband’s steak was tough. Waitress never asked once if things were good. I asked for water and apparently she forgot. We had such high expectations.
The food and service were great. The seafood made me think of where I grew up (Florida Panhandle).
Just a family dinner out. Great service!! This restaurant could use some love as it’s been very dead every time we’ve visited during Covid. As always, great meal!
This was our first time eating here and it was restaurant week. Server was understandably busy, and we are aware they have a tough job. However, the amount of times she walked directly by our table without acknowledging us was unacceptable. We had empty water glasses consistently. Our reservation was for 6pm and we promptly ordered our food as soon as we were seated because we stuck with the price fix menu for Restaurant Week and already had in mind what we wanted. We didn’t receive our salad until 6:40 and our entree wasn’t sent out until 7:30. We asked our server about our food because the wait seemed long, plus 2 other tables that were seated after us received their food. Instead of listening, she immediately became defensive and interrupted us as we asked. The food itself was actually pretty good. My pasta was a little dry and my husbands potatoes were a little salty. Other than that, the food was good and the cheesecake was delicious. We had heard so much hype around this restaurant, so it was disappointing to have this experience.
Tried the Columbus fish market for restaurant week and loved it! I will definitely be back to try something new!! The ambiance was nice and it was not too loud.
First of all it smelled horrible in here- did not make for a pleasant dining experience. The environment in the restaurant did not match the prices on the menu. The food was extremely overpriced because it was not that good. Thank god we were there for happy hour at least.
Food was great, service was mediocre. I did not get offered another drink at anytime after appetizers arrived. My cocktail and water glass was empty from half-ways through entree to end of meal. I am not sure whether this was due to our ordering off of the restaurant week menu or she had to many tables.
Delicious food! And the server was great!
The food is always excellent. The server was not personable at all, which I have never experienced there before but everything else is great!
Went for a restaurant week, 1st time there will definitely be back
Wait was extremely long, service was slow and fish was over cooked and dry. Not a good experience
Food was good. Size on the added lobster tail was the smallest we have ever seen. Certainly not worth the additional price. Service was lacking and the restaurant was not busy. Would not take empty glasses away. Refill drinks/drink orders. Not someplace we will visit again.
Everything was excellent as usuall- just need more folks eating there!
Went for a celebration for two. Very disappointing. Snapper was undercooked and raw in the center.
As always, the food and service was fabulous!
Everyone was friendly, appropriately masked, and professional.
