Colore is a family owned and operated Italian American restaurant. Our dishes range from the classic to the contemporary. We have a full bar with craft cocktails, local beers and acclaimed wines. We offer take-out, delivery, and catering options, and we have extensive gluten free selections. Minutes from DU, Swedish and Craig Hospitals and the Old Pearl Street shopping district, Colore offers a modern and comfortable destination to the suburbs of Denver. The interior of the restaurant is modern, bright and contemporary with large windows, butcher block tables, big cozy booths and soft red leather chairs. Ample adjacent parking and a street-side patio welcome guests to bask in the buzz of the new South Broadway.

All at our table thought the dishes were authentic Italian and enjoyed each. Some very good Italian wines if a little on the pricey side. No one felt like pizza, so can't say. Staff seemed efficient, but our waiter handed us off to a Mgr./MD who was always in a hurry.

Second visit, with a slightly lower rating, because of our choice of dishes. Colore is a very unpretentious and comfortable Italian restaurant. Right from out arrival, Manuel (manager) and Kerry (our waitress) made us feel very welcome (bienvenidos/benvenuti), and they remained very attentive throughout the meal. The wine list gets expensive fairly quickly, but there are some very good wines in the $50-60 a bottle range. The Pan-seared Mussels had a very good flavor, but beware of the spice in the broth. It's got a kick. Perhaps because of the preparation style, the flesh of the mussels was a bit dry. The Penne Bolognese were delicious; and the special-of-the-day halibut, served on a bed of very tender gnocchi, was very fresh and tasty, but not spectacular. Our finale was the Cannoli Plate, which was yummy...some of the best we've had in a long time...crusty, but not hard shell with great mascarpone filling. We will be back for more of the traditional Italian dishes.

We go to Colore at least twice a month and have NEVER been disappointed. Be it seafood, pasta, or pizza this restaurant always delivers.

Visited Colore during Denver Restaurant Week. Our server was fantastic, and since we came in late on a Sunday night we had a big table to ourselves and plenty of time to talk. Nice atmosphere overall. Food was excellent. Salads were fresh and tasty. The pork dish was a standout that is only available on a special menu. The pasta Pescatore was excellent. Desert didn't disappoint.

Great food, cool atmosphere, and great service! We went for Denver Restaurant Week with some friends and were able to comfortably enjoy conversation with each other.

Very small restaurant off the beaten path. The service was very good as we were taken care of promptly and treated as though e were valued guests. The food was very good and presented quite nicely. I had the Mahi Mahi special which was cooked to perfection. Wine list is admirable and the server knew what he was talking about. Taking a star off because the classic tiramisu turned out to be pudding in a bowl, disguised as tiramisu. Overall, lovely experience...be advised your dining experience will be determined by your seating arrangement. We sat at a table in the middle of the aisle.
