Accommodated a party of 6 very easily. Service was superb across the board.
The food and setting were a perfect nod to southern comfort. Will definitely return with the whole family when they visit.
Delicious food and awesome service. Love their Sunday brunch!
The fried chicken was saltless and mostly flavorless. Isn’t that the restaurant’s signature dish?
Great place for brunch. Delicious food. Service could be a little better especially since they charge 20% service fee automatically.
Great Sunday Brunch. Our server was new but overall great experience. Food was Amazing
Biscuits are a must! They are served with hot butter and jam. Everything we ordered was really good except maybe the chicken pot pie needed more gravy filling on the inside. Service was A+
Gratuity is included, no matter how good the service, which was pretty bad, server kept walking away before we were done and then not coming back for a long time, one server poured our limes into his hand and tried to hand them to us which was pretty gross and people were at the bar watching soccer yelling, plus all the white Hetero pictures and figurines all over the place are creeeepy just sayin.
Food was so so and so was service.
It took a good 10-15 mins for them to take our order and they forgot to give us multiple items until we let them know. The food was just okay as well nothing special.
Top notch food was excellent
Great food and great service.
Birthday and graduation lunch
The biscuits and Mac and cheese were amazing.
Great food, drinks took a while to come out, but everything else was perfect.
Food was amazing. Everything is good particularly the biscuits. Service was awesome. So friendly.
Had a great Mother's Day. Server was very flexible with our special needs.
Overall great place...food, drinks, service and location.
Delicious. Waitress was not a the best of moods, but we got everything we asked for
Wonderful food and service. I <3 Colleen's kitchen.
The food and ambiance was absolutely wonderful, the service was good too, just one weird occurrence that left my girlfriend and I feeling a little awkward.
My girlfriend ordered another drink, the waiter who dropped it off winked at her.
While, I didn’t feel it as anything other than a way to say “your welcome” without words. It left her in a uncomfortable spot, where she didn’t want to order anything from him.
Such a fun little date night - food was incredible, server steered us in the perfect direction, clean and goodness gracious the pimento cheese 😍
Still dreaming about the biscuits..oh my word.
Such a great Sunday brunch - it was like being at my grandmother’s house!!
Post vaccine celebration with friends. It was delightful! The food was great, the service superb! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We joined the monthly supper club for takeout during the pandemic, but are going to continue the subscription because we are enjoying it so much!
Birthday lunch was great. Food was spectacular and very kid friendly
Great food and environment. Tables were spaced out and staff were safe. Nice experience overall.
Very friendly and welcoming. It’s like stepping into posh Grandma’s house decorated with family photos, antiques and cute decor for delicious traditional southern home cooking.
The biscuits were amazing. As was the fried chicken. The owner came out to talk to us. Very friendly atmosphere- will definitely go there again!
Loved Colleen’s! I got the potato hash, and the potatoes were cooked so well that I still think about them! The bacon is also amazing! I will be back to try more dishes.
Colleen's always delivers on food quality. The biscuits during brunch were amazing...
Note, brunch is only on Sundays. We missed the small print and thought we could get brunch on Saturday. We had the biscuits and a mimosa carafe. Delicious. Atmosphere and people are great. Super comfy booths. We will be going back for brunch on Sunday soon :)
Outside dining is all we’ve ever done and the noise level is quiet outside
Great place for delicious comfort food. You can also make it healthier if you want - they let me get the buttermilk fried chicken grilled instead. My husband and I split it because it's a ton of chicken! One of our go-to places for sure.
Fantastic first time visit to Colleen's Kitchen - I'd highly recommend it! The food was outstanding - the pimento cheese appetizer was the best and the fried chicken was even better! Such a fun atmosphere and the staff was wonderful too. Can't wait to go back when visiting Austin again!
Went to Colleen's kitchen for brunch on Sunday 3/21. Made reservations for 4 people. Our reservation was at 11:15 and we got there 10 minutes early. We did not get our food until 12:22 when we were ready to walk out. I'm a patient person but it made me angry that EVERY OTHER PARTY that was seated AFTER us got their food BEFORE WE DID. We waited another 20 minutes after the waitress told us our food was "being plated". The manager came over to the table to ask if everything was going well and I told her no and told her how long we had been waiting. She comped out appetizer. I wasn't satisfied because this place had an automatic 20% gratuity aded to the bill and it says on the receipt "to help our employees make a living wage." Their employees making a living wage is the business of the restaurant, not mine. Our waitress, nor the kitchen deserved a tip at all due to the horrible service we received. And I must add this isn't a very diverse area of Austin and myself and my friends were treated as such.
Service was 10/10
Service was absolutely terrible
The menu has changed quite a bit and seems pretty limited. Very few beers that were on the menu were available. I’m hoping these are temporary limitations (due to COVID) and not permanent.
Serious issues with afternoon sun glare make it difficult to enjoy at certain times.
Had a great time hanging out with an old friend. Great food and drinks and a cool, yet sophisticated neighborhood vibe.
Great service and great food. Colleen’s Kitchen appears to be taking the necessary steps to ensure the safety of guests and their employees during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Overall, Colleen’s is a great spot for having brunch with friends or a casual lunch date.
I would like to point out how wonderful the company’s dedication to providing their employees with the security in knowing that they have a liveable wage guarantee by automatically adding a 20% gratuity to each bill, especially during these financial stressful times.
