   OK, I have a mixed review for Cody's Bistro at the present time. Mind you, my husband and I stumbled across this little gem on a whim one evening and our first initial visit was AWESOME. The cocktails, food, and service were top notch, and we were taken a back by it all. Unfortunately, this most recent visit was a bit disappointing. We had my parents in town for our Christmas time together, and this was the location I chose for our dinner reservations. I received over 6 phone calls from the Bistro confirming and RE-confirming our reservation, the night of, I received 2 calls maybe 5 minutes apart from each other. There was obviously a communication breach amongst the staff and management. I appreciated the follow up; however, it became redundant after the 4th and 5th call. It was also San Marcus graduation and when we were seated, we were very disappointed that the menu was NOT what we were expecting. The menu we viewed on line was not what we were given that evening. I completely understand that adjustments were made to accommodate the full restaurant that evening; however, especially considering the time of year, and that patrons are most likely seeking a special evening, letting the customers know that the menu would be minimal would have been courteous of the venue. The Cocktails were deelish, I absolutely loved the Natural Mystic, the combination of balsamic vinegar and fresh basil with the ginger ale, was magical, but my mothers dish of blackened trout was served with yellow rice that was crunchy. I would have understood al dente, but this serving was hard to even chew. We will give Cody's another try, but we were slightly disheartened on December 16th.

   Great drinks, service, and food. A little noisy but, aside from that, all was great.

   We went to celebrate my birthday and it was the perfect place because we were able to have a conversation with out yelling at each other. The wine list is not typical and unique. The food is amazing! Portions are a good size and trust the combinations. I had scallops with corn peas pancetta with beet puree. Beautiful plate. My husband had swordfish.

   Eaten there several times. Never had a bad meal. Highly recommend this place. Certainly the best restaurant in San Marcos

   Excellent food, beer, service, ambiance, etc...Only con is noisy when full house.

   Kelly, our server, was awesome. And the food was great! We recommend the beef Wellington and the pork chop.

   I drive from Austin just to have the beef wellington, it's superb every time.

   Every time I go through San Marcos I eat here, it is just fantastic. The freshly made pasta is outstanding and the Scallops are some of the best I've had anywhere.

   Absolutely great! We were visiting San Marcos and ended up eating there both nights we were there!

    Over priced, mediocre food. This place charges way to much for the amount of food.
