The best breakfast in Ottawa. I go for the perfectly seasoned baby roasted potatoes and delicious bacon.

Always love the eggs Benedict and avocado toast . Missed the pastries that you used to get with your meal . Hostess staff could be more friendly -wait staff are great

Service here was painfully slow - the staff seemed to be understaffed so I can empathize. Took forever just to get a menu (they were "out"), then it also took forever for our order to be taken. Not surprisingly, took ages to get our food and coffees as well. The restaurant was beautiful, the food was good, and our server was lovely, so hoping this was just a one off.

Absolutely fantastic and a treasure downtown. Beautiful atmosphere and nothing like I've experienced downtown.

Food and drinks were actually pretty good. Service was way too slow with long wait times between waitstaff appearance so they couldn't even be flagged down.

My wife and I were looking forward to trying hotel and resto together, escaping from the grad party being hosted at our home. Our mains were exceptionally good and it’s a gorgeous space, but, my god, I can’t remember a time I’ve been to a restaurant so badly managed. Our oysters were mealy, warm and badly shucked. No one bothered to tell us where they were from or what the mignonettes were. And they were plunked on the table well before our drinks. (The server, a nice young man, was aware/apologized). Our salads were quite nice. The steak frites and lamb dishes were both excellent Our pecan dessert was good. The main issue was how everything was being managed. This is not on the service staff, but clearly a management issue. The timing of everything (right to the end) was off despite initial efforts to address it. At one point literally everyone disappeared for an oddly long time. They were understaffed and all totally uncoordinated - front and back of the house. No rhythm whatsoever. Wines we ordered from the menu were not available. Staff were clearly unhappy, frustrated and bewildered, creating a rather strange vibe. We also had room service the next morning ostensibly from the bistro. We both ordered cappuccinos and avocado toast with poached egg. One plate was ok but for the other, the egg was hard boiled and the avocado had been sitting on the toast so long the bread had turned to a complete mush. For the price of our stay and the meals we had, we expect and frankly always get better. We won’t be back. There are so many other good options. It’s a shame because the steak frites are some of the best in town.
