I had high hopes for Cocolee. The food is good, but the service was careless. Outdoor dining comes with some unpredictability, but how staff handle it matters. We were seated under a tree with a bird perched overhead. 10 minutes in, the bird pooped on my shirt. I cleaned it with my own wipes—no napkin, no comped item from the server. Then it happened again on my head. We asked to move tables. Staff kept seating guests at the same table, despite knowing the issue. I warned one group, who moved. A few minutes later, another party was seated and the bird struck again, this time on a woman’s hair. The staff seemed more focused on filling tables than basic hygiene or customer care. I suggested they use umbrellas or canopies, but who knows if that was heard. Not sure I’ll be back. Good food isn’t enough when common sense is missing.

Hostess Sonia was very accommodating and helpful and our server was excellent, very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. Food was very well executed, especially the spareribs.

The service was great! The drinks were decent nothing amazing but not bad either. The food was such a let down I went at dinner with 4 people and we got 4 appetizers, 3 dumpling, 1 rice, and 1 noodle dish which is most of the menu and the only good food was the spare ribs and the crab Rangoon the rice and noodle dish was bland and so was the soy sauce they give you very watered down. All the dumplings were bland and the wrapping was very thick and dry. So disappointing for the price!

We booked a table at Cocolee on Saturday night and sat out on the patio deck. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, with music that enhanced the mood without overpowering conversation. Despite the crowd, we were seated within 5 minutes of checking in, which set a positive tone early on. Our table shared 4 plates: papaya salad, miso steak, lemongrass chicken dumplings, and blue crab rangoons. The variety made for a fun, tapas-style experience, but the presentation felt rushed and visually unrefined. Dishes also came out sporadically, which disrupted the flow of the meal and made it harder to enjoy everything together. In terms of flavor, everything was fine, but played it safe. Those expecting bold, authentic Southeast Asian profiles may be underwhelmed. A few touches, like a chili dipping sauce for the dumplings, could have added much needed dimension. I found the rangoons were a bit undercooked as the shells were soft. Service was mixed. While the host staff was efficient and friendly, other aspects felt uneven. Clearly a sign the team is still finding their rhythm. My mocktail (bartender’s choice) tasted like straight lemon juice and arrived with a visible fingerprint on the rim. A small but noticeable lapse in presentation and hygiene. The total came to about $85 with tax and tip (four plates, one mocktail, and one beer). While the food didn’t quite do it for me, the inviting atmosphere, quick seating, and potential for improvement make it worth considering for a laid back evening out, especially as the service continues to settle in.

Food was very tasty. Service was slow. We never got menus and sat around until the server came to take an order not realizing no one had menus. We never received three items we ordered. They took them off the bill without hassle. It's clear they're still working out the kinks as a new restaurant but we really enjoyed the food we did get.

We had a lovely time at Cocolee! The decor and overall atmosphere was inviting and playful. The food was delicious and our waitstaff was very friendly! Our only complaint was we wish there were more dumplings served per portion. We felt for the price, the value didn’t match up. However they were delicious. We would return!

Not much seating indoors, but plenty of outdoor seating space. The food lacks flavor, unfortunately. Drinks were just okay. Staff was very friendly, the place has a nice atmosphere. I won't be going back, unless they improve on their food & drinks.
