   We decided on the fixed price menu, and were very impressed. The wagyu beef steak alone was melt-in-the-mouth delicious, and then on top of that it was accompanied by excellent starter and dessert courses. The service was also top notch. One thing to note was that it was a little hard to find at first, being hidden away in the lower floor of a hotel, but found it to be a nice quiet restaurant with wonderful views of Monterey Bay.

   Coastal Kitchen was an amazing experience! The 5 course tasting menu is so unique and delicious. The chef is very creative. Never had a meal like this before. Ambience was amazing, a beautiful ocean view and they offer binoculars for window seats and high end but not pretentious at all. The 5 course menu took about 2.5 hours to finish Emily the host/server was so kind! She went above and beyond, so considerate to even offer a blanket when she noticed I was cold. Jesus, always checked on us after every course to make sure we have everything we need. The service is absolutely wonderful!

   Everything was perfect, excellent Zero dosage Champagne, delicious meal, and everybody was so kind. We recommend, no doubt !

   We always make reservations for dinner here when staying at the Monterey Plaza Hotel. The food is delicious. The chef prepares the dishes perfectly. This time we had the beef and the fish dishes. Both were delicious. The service is exceptional. Staff are friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The views are spectacular. We never feel rushed. It is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy good food.

    Service was outstanding- wine pairing with the course was wonderful. They even switched out a white with a red for me. Duck plate a little tough which was disappointing and the miso soup lacked flavor. The rest of the plates very well done and we enjoyed.
