   So, I had a not so great experience today at Coastal. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and made reservations. I always defer and recommend Coastal to my friends because you’re usually consistent — but not today. I know you were busy, but our lunch was disappointing. The server didn’t refill our drinks — water or champagne, multiple times. Additionally, my food was super salty - not at all edible. Oh, and we were charged a cake cutting fee, which is totally fine, but he didn’t cut the cake the way we asked, so it was a bit frustrating. We asked for 4 thin slivers — he served us Hal the cake!! Service should have been better. We left gratuity and feel it was not deserved.

   Excellent food and outstanding service!! Noise level was high in bar area and surrounding dining tables. But the remaining area of the restaurant was fine.

   We love this restaurant, one of our favorites, and always love the food and service. Tonight something was very off. Our side order of fries were all the ends and bits leftover… really disappointing. Our server was nice but we felt super rushed the entire time. And the server knew we were celebrating our 20 year wedding anniversary and still rushed us, and interrupted us a few times when it was obvious we were opening cards and meaningful gifts. And when we were done with dinner and asked for the check we weren’t asked if we’d like coffee or dessert, and zero pleasantries were given like “have a nice evening” or “happy anniversary “. We just left feeling blah, like we just celebrated a really special occasion at a subpar chain restaurant. Disappointing.

   Server Cassidy was amazing, anticipating all of our needs. She offered excellent menu choices. Our meals were perfect and the Key Lime pie was divine.

   Delicious grouper but the portion size was small Maybe 5 oz? Last time they gave me a much bigger piece

   I usually love it here, but my recent experience was disappointing. I had made a reservation for three people on the patio, but we were seated 20 minutes late at a two-top table with an extra chair. This setup made it inconvenient for all, everyone bumped into the chair as they tried to navigate around it each time. The salads were overly drenched in dressing, and the steak lacked flavor. Additionally, during our last visit, we were informed that outside bottles of wine were not allowed. However, we noticed another table with wine and asked about it, only to be told that we could bring in outside bottles for a fee of $15 each!!

    The best Mother’s day feast! baby back ribs with fries and cole slaw, a caesar salad, delicious herb buttered rolls and the very tasty house salad…I can’t say enough about the service and the high quality food. Thank you for a great experience and we’re looking forward to returning soon.
