We sat outside by choice and the heater was amazingly warm. Our waiter Dillon was outstanding! Patient and completely accommodating and responsive to all of our requests. The shrimp and corn special appetizer was delicious and just as Dillon described. The salmon and charred broccolini was delicious--everyone was happy with their meals.
Fantastic!
Beautiful view of the snow covered golf course. Social distanced, great food, with a wide verity of options. Well stocked bar. Friendly staff.
Had the snow not been so very deep, the walk to the restaurant would have been much more enjoyable. The service was extraordinary and the food was exceptional. This was our first time to visit int he 4 years we've lived in Glenview and I now wonder what took us so long? It was quiet and the perfect location for great drinks and dinner on Valentine's Night. Each of us ordered something different and we all loved our meal!
First time here. Very good food and service. Really appreciated the COVID precautions in place.
We love Coarse and so happy it has made it through this pandemic. The food is outstanding!!! Our waiter (who has worked there for quite sometime), is so nice and professional. This is a great spot, especially in the summer overlooking the gorgeous golf course.
This was our first visit to Coarse. We went on an impromptu date night the first day restaurants reopened for indoor dining and had a great experience. Our server Dylan took care to ensure we enjoyed our evening, making several recommendations and checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Fidel, the manager of the restaurant, also stopped by our table. Both food and service were excellent and we look forward to returning!
I wish I knew it was at a golf club. Almost got a sugar daddy tho. The fries smacked
Although a reservation was made requesting a high chair - no table was set up for us on arrival. We were pointed to the gazebo area of the outdoor dining - which was empty - and told to pick a table. Had to pull chairs together to accommodate our group of 6 and waited some time for a high chair. Waiter was friendly but service was sloooow. Not great with 2 young children. Food was good (stuffed chicken breasts, arugula salad, caprese/grilled fruit salad & kid meals). Maybe a bit over-priced considering the whole experience.
Personable staff who go above and beyond. The food was tasty. Top faves are cacio e pepe wings, arancini rice balls, calamari, and salmon. Thanks for making our mom’s birthday extra special.
Excellent food and excellent service
Highly recommended
Amazing food and amazing service. Homemade food that tastes delicious.
The view from the patio was wonderful. They had heaters, but not at the table we were at. As the evening went on the heater was a must have, but that wasn’t an option. While the food was good there was a problem getting fries that were hot. After the second serving of cold fries I chose to pass on them. After a bit of a defensive conversation with the manager they offered to comp a desert.
I made res for 6 people for my birthday. All of our dinners were cold. They had to remake still not hot. 1 meal was dairy free and had cheese on top. The second try had cream sauce. The third time they got it right. They didn’t offer anything. The only explanation the manger gave us is that it was outside and that’s why the food was cold. That night October 14 was in the 70’s. Anyway I had heard a lot of good about this restaurant and the view is pretty but the food and service were awful. I felt the restaurant management could have done something. We also ordered all the desserts on the menu for my birthday and you would think they maybe could have picked that up. Bad bad management.
Really enjoy sitting out on the deck. Food consistently good.
First visit, pleasantly surprised at how good the food and service were and the moderate price point.
Our waiter Fidel was very nice and helpful. Beyond him, our experience was less than enjoyable. Nothing horrible, just not a friendly greeter, tried to seat us at some high top when we had a reservation. Then placed us at the end of their patio when we thought we’d be seated somewhere else. Let’s just say we were looking for reasons not to be disappointed. Food was not bad.
Great food and ambiance. Start of dinner was a bit loud with the golfers hanging around after their round but after they cleared out it’s a great setting. Nothing wrong with golfers having a few post round beers they just happen to be louder than your normal dinner crowd. Don’t pass up the arancini, they were amazing.
Good food and service.
Will be back.
We sat outside for dinner. There were heaters so it wasn't bad on a chilly, rainy night. Food was outstanding. My son ordered a burger and truffle fries and he loved it. My husband ordered a spicy pasta dish and I ordered the stuffed chicken breast, which I split with my other son and was perfect for sharing. We ordered the aracini for an appetizer and my kids wanted the brownie sundae for dessert. They were delicious. The donuts were good, but not sure I would order again. I think we will be back again next weekend though to try different dishes, although the stuffed chicken will be hard to pass up to try something new. It's fantastic. The owner and then the general manager came by to talk to us and ask how everything was. It was a very nice personal touch to customers to show they care and thanked us for coming.
Good spot for outdoor dining during covid. One of our dinners was interesting, one was "meh" but ok. Service, ambiance, and safety were all very good. Good place to stop and dine safely, and the food is workable.
I ordered the same food items this time as the last time we went, however the seasonings and flavors were not quite the same. It seems the dishes were tweaked a little, and I preferred the way they were prepared the first time😉
Excellent chicken and salmon
Superb service
Atmosphere beautiful overlooking golf course
The ambiance was great- loved everything about the patio overlooking the golf course. We had the grilled caesar, lasagna and crispy chicken. All very good.
Five friends (who haven't seen each other since February) met for dinner and loved the outdoor patio space. Three of them had charred cesear salad with salmon or shrimp and ABSOLUTELY loved it! The others had Chicken limone (very tasty) and Summer gnocchi (delicious). I have had the arancini as an appetizer before and LOVE it (but wasn't as hungry this time). I also heard they have some great cocktails (but we chose wine).
There are heaters on the porch so it will be a GREAT place to go when the weather gets cooler.
Nice outdoor venue. Food was very good. Nice menu selection for a golf course restaurant. Recommend the Veal meatballs with spaghetti!
We love Fidel who was our waiter, he is great. Food is fantastic
The food is excellent. However the service is a little slow. The servers were very very busy and I think Course is understaffed. Also, the drinks were very slow and very inconsistent. The location is superb and the food itself is outstanding.
Lasagna was excellent!
Great outdoor seating at the Glenview Golf Club. Good service, and really tasty food.
Terrible service and food. Manager not even present
Kerry, As a small, local business we work faithfully with our guests to ensure they have an excellent and memorable visit at Coarse Italian. During your visit we can assure you our management is present with any guests that may have concerns. If we had known about your experience on Sept. 4th, we would have been glad to remedy any issues you encountered in person. Feedback is valuable to us and we encourage you to share more information with us, email to Info@coarseitalian. Kind Regards, Franco
We have dined here two times in e last three weeks because we couldn’t wait to eat their food again! The restaurant is in the club house and has outdoor seating on the porch or under umbrella-covered tables in the patio overlooking the course. (No seating inside because of Covid.) We’ve had the following and all were delicious: arancini balls, seasonal caprese salad, lemon chicken breast, lasagna, and bombolini donuts w/ chocolate sauce. The service was efficient, friendly and prompt. As I said before, I’m happy to go there any time. Highly recommend it!
Golf course view and food were great. Being outdoors is safe and relaxing
Food and ambiance were very enjoyable! Our service was very slow, with both drinks and food items:(
Service slow
Have never been there but will definitely go again. Had the salmon picatta, very delicious. Other diners had lasagna, rigatoni, eggplant Parmesan & stuffed mushrooms. All very good. The best for me was the charred Caesar salad which had an unbelievable flavor to it. Will go back for lunch sometime & add protein to that. Bill was around $50 pp but a couple of us had drinks. Beautiful scenery of golf course if you sit outside, watching the sunset.
Great Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere with spectacular views of the golf course.
The ambiance is great, good views. The food portions are inconsistent, ordered same dish I got previously but the portions were half the size. The wine pour was also very light (inconsistent). Don’t mind paying and supporting our local business but expect consistent food portions. Had a snack when I got home as I was still hungry.

Beautiful setting. Delicious food. Attentive wait staff.
Lovely time
