Crispy Stuffed Chicken
Stuffed with risotto, peas, parmesan, lemon cream sauce, sautéed spinach
Best date we've ever had! Our server was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the options, since me and my partner are terrible at making decisions. The table set ups are so romantic. She loved the food presentations, and I loved the football they had playing on the screens over at the bar.
Delicious as always, we love Coarse! Also great drinks!
Lovely ambiance with good friends on a rainy night. Food was tasty and well prepared with some unique dishes like grilled Caesar salad. Just 1 star below a high end restaurant. Loved the conversation friendly quietness. Waitress was spot on with service.
Coarse never disappoints! Met friends for dinner, everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the skirt steak—excellent! Husband liked his short ribs gnocchi (not the first time he’s ordered it), friends had pasta dish & grilled Caesar with chicken. Wine excellent.
We sat outside overlooking the golf course at sunset. Beautiful setting. The food was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Delicious food!! Great service. Highly recommend!!
Great find at a public golf course! Wish I knew about this place during the summer, large outdoor dining area. Food was surprisingly good and creative. Service was excellent. Will be back.
Food was very fresh and delicious. I appreciated all of the healthy choices. Server was extremely pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere outdoors on the patio is what makes the restaurant such a pleasant experience; there were no heat lamps, but I am guessing the restaurant must use them when it's colder? I will return next time in the area.
Coarse is our go to…we love sitting outside and enjoying a great meal. We especially love the crispy stuffed chicken. Only downside was the midnight margarita which was all ice and little drink.
Appetizers, deserts, and cocktails are great. Main courses are only ok. Steak/short ribs were chewy, pasta was good, not exactly worth the price tag.
Lovely outdoor dining and drinks. Very peaceful. Very beautiful.
Wasn't expecting much when friends asked us to go to Coarse Italian. We had been there when they opened and had an underwhelming meal with even worse service and never planned to go back. Well, the restaurant did a turn around in our eyes and we had a great meal. Dial to pandemic Sept. and we found an entirely different story. Overlooking a lovely golf course, and witness to a sky-on-fire sunset, we dined outdoors and all had terrific meals. While the server was eager, he definitely needed more training as he was a touch too familiar, a pet peeve of mine, but was trying hard--so points for that. He also forgot the salmon that was the entree with a main salad, and when our friend got her the fish was tepid at best. That said, he also ran back and forth to the kitchen for a dietary accommodation question twice, so high marks for that. Excellent caesar salad that we wanted not charred came oddly undressed and not tossed. That would have been a nice thing to ask ahead of time if we wanted it that way. Rather odd for a caesar! The dressing and croutons were great and the salad crisp and cold. Our entrees all used the same pasta. Spaghetti was the same as tagliatelle these days, but it tasted homemade and the sauces were delicious. That said, four small-ish shrimp seemed a little skimmpy for the "seafood". And while it said a tomato sauce with "fine herbs," it was in fact tomato sauce with hot chili. Delicious, but if I didn't like spice it would have gone back. They need to state that component on the menu. Speaking of hot--the midnight marguerita was fantastic and heat was right on point. Fun cocktail menu. Hubby had the "spaghetti" (wide linguine) with bolognese and veal meatballs. Again, delicious but two little meatballs was a major disappointment for the protein component. Desserts did not entice, but interesting to note that they have homemade gelato, and it was strawberry chocolate chip, which was interesting. Lovely, leisurely evening. Hope they get heat lamps!
This was our third visit to the restaurant. We brought another couple with us who had never been there. Each couple ordered a Caesar salad to share. They were crazy big and we felt the server should have warned us that they’re too large for two people to share. One for the 4 of us would have been perfect. The dressing was way too heavy and garlicky got my taste, but that’s just me. Each entree was absolutely excellent. The biggest problem, however, was that there was an outdoor 40th birthday party with a DJ. The music and DJ were SOOOOO loud that we couldn’t even have a conversation without yelling across the table. I love that the party was happening and that the guests were having a great time, but it made dining outside for those not at the party pretty unpleasant. Maybe there should be a decibel limit for both the music and the DJ who felt the need to yell into his microphone.
Outdoor view magnificent overlooking 18th hole. Spaghetti best I've ever had
Stayed for dinner after golf on a Thursday afternoon. Good was very good, service was attentive. Nice spot on the porch when the weather is nice.
Beautiful landscape, great good, friendly and helpful staff. Like money places, I think they are struggling with staffing so it was helpful to be patient with a nice staff.
Great place. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. The view over the golf course is spectacular.
You can’t beat the view of the golf course. Dylan our server was very enthusiastic and attentive. The food is better than what you would expect at a golf course, also tasty cocktails and a good beer/wine list.
Food was terrible. Been numerous times before, however, the meals did not have any flavor. Unfortunate.

We have been to Coarse twice and both times were a very nice dining experience…beautiful setting as well !
We love Coarse Italian- the food is always good. Biggest issue is lack of wait help like most restaurants now, but the food will keep us coming back!
Birthday dinner for my wife. Nice view, very good food.
A beautiful gem! Wish we knew about it earlier in the summer as we would have definitely frequented more often. Gorgeous evening on the patio. Felt like a mini vacation that only required a quick 10 minute drive. Wonderful! Will be back =)
Weather happened to be perfect. Food & ambience good, though a member of our party returned a cocktail, calling it "poor". It was graciously accepted & replaced.
Great views of the the golf course. The best part about the night was the bread & olive oil.
A wonderful delicious meal, with a beautiful view of course. Friendly, professional service. Thank you!
Nice atmosphere with sunset views but mediocre food and service. They were out of a ton of menu options including the spaghetti. Pizza took over an hour to come out. Overall this feels like a better lunch option with tons of potential.
Delicious as always. Beautiful place to dine, we sat indoors, golf course views gorgeous. Summer gnocchi outstanding & Coarse Refresher (vodka-strawberry cocktail) perfect. Thanks for a great dinner!
I’m satisfied with the experience in the Coarse Italian
Unfortunately, this is another restaurant that is struggling with not enough staff to meet their reputation. My entree had to be sent back twice so that the burger I ordered was actually what was delivered. So, by the time my entree arrived, the rest of our party had finished eating and were ready to go home. I ate my burger with my dog at home. Not the Father's Day meal I imagined when I booked the restaurant.
Unfortunately, our waiter didn’t do a great job selling what was on their specials menu. When my husband received his main dish, it was pretty much a salad. As we voiced our disappointment, the waiter found it funny, laughed and offered that he did his job selling it. Not the beat way to celebrate Father’s Day... we love course Italian by the way. We are there often and have been for years. We hope this doesn’t happen again.
My friend and I had an outdoor table near the course and absolutely loved it. The view was beautiful and we didn’t have anybody sitting too close. Our server was friendly and we both had amazing food. We will definitely come back.
Good Food and service. Table overlooking golf course made it an excellent dinner and evening.
Nice new waitress, outdoor area was comfortable. Might want to remove outdoor heaters in summer. They obstruct the pretty golf coarse view.
Beautiful view. Outstanding service. Very nice menu. So very pleasant and unhurried.
Going to the Coarse is like being in a different world. Totally enjoyable.
The service was pretty slow, food was mediocre. Based on my experience I will not be retuning.
Beautiful setting! Lots of outdoor seating. Best dish is crispy stuffed chicken which was superb!
Even thought the restaurant is at a golf course, they could do something to make it nicer. I have eaten at a golf course in Belville, IL where the atmosphere far exceeded what we experienced here. Food was good, but not outstanding and not worth a special trip.
Get the grilled Caesar - wow! Fabulous. Have been here for dinner with a group 3 times and all of the food has been fantastic - very flavorful. Great service, delicious bread. Favorite place.
Great place with amazing views. Nice outside set up. Food is average with not too many choices but the outdoor dining is great. We highly recommend it!
