   The afternoon tea experience was simply okay-nothing really wowed or was outstanding which is what you’d expect at the prices being commanded. Little things like tea bags instead of loose leaf tea are also not what you’d expect. The desserts were typically overly sweet and the sandwiches were tasty but nothing incredible. Saving grace was the ambience at the Fairmont which is always incredible with a live violin and cello player during the tea service.

   The high tea was a fabulous experience. Staff were attentive and kitchen adapted the offerings to suit our dietary restrictions. The alternatives were no compromise, though ... flavourful and varied in texture. Everything was outstanding and the time flew by.

   We had an incredible time at the 11am seating today. Our servers, Bimal and Liam, went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. From the extra scones to bringing us some more of our fave sandwiches, we couldn't have asked for better service. I will definitely be back and recommend to everyone. Thanks to the GM, Jay, for chatting with us!!

   A traditional English Tea at an iconic hotel, I've done the Tea circuit and this one is one of my favorites. Worth every penny!
