Clementine San Antonio

Lunch was fab. My 3rd visit. Too noisy at dinner.
The food was fantastic. The service was great. We really enjoyed the grilled artichoke and Spanish mackerel.
Wonderful dining experience! I had roasted duck with morel mushrooms and pasta-every bite was delicious. The roasted beets appetizer and the blueberry tart dessert were both awesome as well!
Absolutely fabulous experience! Great service and outstanding food. You will not be disappointed.
Our new favorite restaurant in San Antonio! The service was phenomenal and reminded us of our best date nights in Washington DC. Patrick greeted us with complimentary champagne for our anniversary, which was a nice touch. We chose the “feed us” option that included a 7 course seasonal meal selected by the chefs. We also asked for wine pairings. Both the food and wine did not disappoint! Thanks to the staff for a wonderful evening, we will be back!
Not our first visit but definitely our best. The kitchen knocked it out of the park, everyone’s plates was brilliant whether meat or fish. Bravo Clementine, we’ll be BACK!
Restaurant noise was extremely loud and definitely affected how I enjoyed my food. Service was excellent.
Loved Clementine! The food is incredible, I’ll come hungrier next time to try the chefs tasting dubbed “Feed Me”. We loved every course, especially the ricotta cavatelli and chocolate Clementine crunch dessert. Excellent service, intimate and casual dining atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
Service was great, food excellent
Every time I come to Clementine, I experience another dish that delights my taste buds. This visit for lunch, I had the Buttered Carolina Shrimp on Toast (sourdough bread, celery & dill salad, lemon aioli). The ingredients are fresh and tasty and those shrimp were delicious. Coffee afterward is some of the best in the city. I love this place.
If you don’t go to this restaurant....... YOU ARE WRONG!!! Awesome experience!!!
What a lovely place for lunch or dinner, fresh delicious ingredients beautifully presented
This was the best meal I've had in quite some time. First of all, everyone is really nice to you here and helpful. They are all vested in your experience. I am thinking you can't go wrong with anything you order here because everything we got was a hit. I wanted to build my meal from the wine. I did a bit of research ahead of time, but the server was able to make some excellent recommendations as well. It's small and intimate. Even on a Wednesday you likely will need a reservation, but if you end up waiting at the bar (or eating at the bar) you can watch them make your food.
Wow! Best meal we've had in San Antonio. Servers were awesome. Food incredible. As my wife said it was like a party in my mouth. How can you make something as simple as mackerel taste so delicious? Do not miss this restaurant
Innovative and creative menu with outstanding service. Lunch or dinner---either way is a first rate experience.
A little difficulty getting seated, and at times the service was slow. However, the food was excellent! Nice combinations of taste and texture. The strawberry salad was a mixture of sweet, salt, and acid, with different textures from the strawberries, dandelion leaves, feta, and a few nuts for crunch. The crispy duck confit was savory and a delight combined with the ricotta cavatelli; a bit of acidity or something to contrast the richness would help. Overall a great dinner and I plan to return!
Food and service was great! Noise level was deafening though. Hard to talk
My fourth trip in the last 6 weeks - food is outstanding- highly recommend this place. Meeting another group for lunch next week. Out of town guest love the food.
Everything, eat all of it. All of it. Especially the desserts.
There is absolutely nothing bad about this place, from the one of a kind ingenious menu items, to the friendly atmosphere, attentive servers and extensive wine list.
Only tried dinner so far, looking forward to lunch!
Music too loud, already out of 1 lunch enteee at 12:30 but what we had was great. The labneh on the hush puppies seemed too sweet.
Food was superb. Every course was presented well, was hot or cold as appropriate. We really enjoyed the white musroom salad. The hush puppies were incredible. Would definitely recommend and would return.
The food was delicious. The service was great. We loved this restaurant.
Loved this restaurant. The balance to the dishes was great. Just enough fat, acid, spice. Unique menu also. Not just another of the same. Wine list was a little limited but both the white and red we ordered where good. Prices are not too high for the quality of the food and service.
Noise level ruined a wonderful dining experience. Went in knowing it was noisy, but this was the worse. Couldn't carry on a decent conversation.
Eat the beet salad! It's incredible. We also had the steak frites and seared tuna salad, both big winners. I would've asked for the hollandaise on the side but other than that loved everything.
We did the "feed me" menu and it was much better the first time we went. This time, we were a bit disappointed with the entrees as they lacked variety and were not as tasty.
Excellent food, good and affordable wines, fast kitchen, nice friendly staff, sufficient parking. Attentive chef/owner. A wonderful experience.
We ordered the Feed Me option — customized just for us, except that every other table in the restaurant seemed to be having the same dishes. Everything came individually out as a mini course. Most reviews stated that 6 courses would be served. I wonder if the fact that dish after dish remained uneaten by our group of four was the reason we were so generously served 8 courses. The beet salad was outstanding. All other dishes ranged from just okay (the pasta) to inedible (rubbery, fishy tasting skate). Even dessert failed to live up to the hype: an okay coffee ice cream served alongside house-made, dry-as-toast donuts. A disappointing meal.
Best meal I’ve had in San Antonio. Great creative chef with solid fundamentals as well so the food is not just trendy fluff. Chefs/owners, manager and service team are very gratuitous and professional.
My wife and I went for our 30th anniversary. It was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We ordered the Feed Me menu item. We got six courses all chef's choice. We had so much fun trying items we might hot order on our own. Everything was wonderful! Watching the chef and the kitchen staff work was like having a floor show with dinner. The service was friendly and attentive.
All of the dishes were outstanding with one exception, the char which seemed undercooked and mushy. But the other dishes which were so unique and flavorful more than made up for it—the hush puppies, mushroom salad, pasta w penne sauce, and other seafood dishes all were excellent! The desserts were good too. (Donuts and strawberry shortcake). And the house red wine met expectations. will definitely return!
The absolute BEST! Delish! The fried quail, the white mushroom salad, and the donuts w/ coffee ice cream! OMG!! Can’t wait to go back!
Clearly Clementine is one of the best restaurants in San Antonio. We loved our meal, our food, and our experience. We will return, hopefully often.
We have always been very satisfied with Clementine! Awesome staff and food!
It’s my absolute favorite restaurant. I try to visit at least once a month
We had reservations for two on Friday night at 8:30 PM. We were promptly greeted upon arrival, but our table wasn't quite ready. I believe the group(s) before us were camping; not the restaurant's fault. They offered us complimentary glasses of wine while we waited. The noise level was a bit high, but that's to be expected for such a small dining area. The waitstaff was extremely professional.
We ordered a lot, and the items were spaced out just right. Every dish was nicely presented to us. The trout caviar, sweetbreads, beet salad, mushroom salad, bok choy, and pasta (forgot the name of it) dishes were all great. We especially loved the southern fried quail and dry-aged Wagyu steak. The trout on the menu was unavailable, so they substituted with arctic char. It was cooked perfectly, and they even made the skin extra crispy for us on request.
This was definitely some of the best food we've had in San Antonio.
Great evening and dinner at Clementines! Service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was terrific. Will definitely go again!
Amazing desserts, terrific service, be sure to ask if a dish is spicy. The chicken was amazing.
