The Clay Pitt food is always delicious but Friday nights are obviously busy so be ready for a wait. We arrived early for our reservation and they were able to seat us a little early, which we thought was good. However, even though we ordered immediately after we were seated, we had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes before our food arrived. We’ll be back but we’ll make sure we plan the 2 + hours for our dinning experience.

Wonderful place for our first anniversary celebration. We requested to sit downstairs which was a unique experience. The food was amazing and our server was as well. Sitting downstairs was also unique in the fact that sound echos so if there is a noisy diner down there with you it can be a little loud. I understand that this is in no way the restaurants fault and would not deter me from eating down there just something to keep in mind if you dine with people sensitive to that kind of thing. The upstairs looked very nice as well. Overall a 5 out of 5 experience. Portion size and quality were more than worth what we spent on the meal.

Pretty rude server (he looked hungover...) and the server-in-training would say she was going to take care of something and would disappear for what seemed like a long time. Two times, I saw her some back into the dining area empty handed and then apparently remembered what she was going to do, e.g. bring dessert menus, and left again and returned again. About 15 minutes went by with 3 requests for one guest to get a second beer.

The Clay Pit is a always a great choice especially when vegetarians and meat eaters are dining together. The food was delicious as always and we sat in the quieter downstairs dining room. Our food took a little longer to arrive than we would have liked this visit, but that isn't a great surprise on a busy Saturday night.
