Very disappointed. I do not know what to say. The worst dine in service ever I had. The whole service was extremely slow (e.g. no water or checking in with us for first 20-25 mins, oysters were served 30 mins after order placed) which in this case, is not what made our experience negative at all. The waitress did an awful service. It was so bad that I am not even sure how she made it the bad. It is unfortunate since this restaurant is beautiful and food were good. Just a neutral service by her would make it a nice experience. Busy day (which is not how I describe the day we dine in but just to be fair or generous) or/ and understaff happens. But a little communication with customers or a little smile can make the whole experience different. We do give 1/5 star for the experience purely based on the waitress. Waiting time etc. was not necessary a positive experience but did not bother us at all. I was very sad that she did not care at all.

The service was terrible. Waiter was rude and nonachalant. Our food was so late and not good, fish and chips, popcorns/cocount shrimp and a casear wrap- not hard! They all came at different times, whcih she had explained, but it was ridiculous...it was end of evenign/ day, so not a rushed night, also a monday...they forgot about the wrrp completely and when it did come after 30 plus minutes - its was so awful, no dressing, just chicken and wilted lettuce. Server never came back to apologize or anything... They dont serve ANY local wines, which is a disgrace..... I have been coming here for more than 25 years and always loved Claudio. I dont think we'll ever come back, so sad.

Incredibly bad, took 2 hours to get any food, all of the orders were being brought to the wrong tables, complete incompetence all around.

We had a 7 pm reservation not realizing they close at 7pm. So while the kitchen remains open for the last of the patrons the staff is cleaning up around you and the service was mediocre. The food was as expected for outdoor bar like dining. Nothing to brag about but the overall experience was lacking. The only thing that came quickly was the check and the bus boy.

Only get drinks here. Food is not fresh. My burger came out in exactly 3 min after I ordered it. I thought it was not mine or a mistake. This came out before the calamari and before my fiancés fish and chips. All of which were not good we didn’t finish eating the food.

I have always love Claudio’s and it’s hard to write this but the experience I just had was really so bad. The food was horrible, not only the way it was prepared but the offerings were so run of the mill, not anything you would expect from a nicer restaurant. When I am paying $36 for a ceasar salad with a tiny shriveled up, overcooked piece of mahi added, I am saddened. When I make a reservation for 7pm, arrive at 6:45, am finally greeted at 7:08pm, and am told to hurry up & order bc the kitchen is closing, I am saddened. I can take some responsibility here bc I should have checked the hours and read that the place closed but I, foolishly, assumed that if I could make a 7pm reservation the restaurant would be open long enough for me to enjoy my meal - however, that was not the case. When our waitress comes over to our table a total of 2 times and once to stand over us waiting for payment, I am saddened. Especially when the place was essentially empty. I worked in service for years, I am incredibly understanding of how hard servers work in this industry but this seemed unacceptable. The drinks came in plastic cups … again, if I’m paying almost $400 for my family of 6 to go out to dinner, I expect my glass of wine and espresso martini to come in a glass? I wondered if it had to do with being on the dock but am confused by the reasoning. I am not sure what’s happening over there, but whatever is happening, it is shameful. The menu needs to be rethought and the food needs to not taste like it came out of a freezer. We are on Long Island - surrounded by water, surely you can find some fresh fish to offer?? I am baffled and saddened. If you’re looking for beautiful scenery and open air eating then this is the place, 100%. But, sadly, don’t come if you want to enjoy your meal. There are plenty of other places to spend a fortune and actually enjoy what you’re eating, then to waste your time & money here.

Overall I would say our experience was good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The noise level was a little louder than I liked but I guess it was to be expected. I realize this restaurant has been around for a long time and certainly has many patrons dining there, but I probably would not visit again. Additionally the cost was a little high but not unreasonable.
