We went to Claude's during Long Island Restaurant Week and we were very happy with our meal. The restaurant is very pretty and it's a great spot for some quiet conversation. The salmon was delicious and we look forward to another meal there soon.

I had no idea that Southampton Inn even had a restaurant, let alone outstanding food. We had an even nicer treat when a well regarded pianist put on an ad lib show during our meal. It's a secret worth spreading.

Claude’s is such a beautiful restaurant! We were seated quickly and the setting was intimate, cozy, and modern. My pumpkin gnocchi was the best meal I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time! We will definitely be coming back here.

The help seemed very confused & discombobulated! Service was poor.Appetizers were good .Main courses fair .My husband’s pasta special was too spicy hot to eat .Waitress should have mentioned that when describing dish. He couldn’t eat & we were charged anyway ! Desserts were major disappointment. Carrot cake is one of my favorite desserts - this came out hard & like it was defrosted & not good ,Apple crisp bad . Would not go back here!!!!

We waited a 1/2 hour after we were seated before someone came over to take our order. We signaled the server several times trying to get his attention, but there was a large group in the meeting room and the staff all seemed to be preoccupied with them. We also had to ask three times to have our coffee cups refilled. I finally complained to the manager and still it took another few minutes before we got our refills.

This was miserable. You, OpenTable, advertised this as a public restaurant, and it most definitely is not. This is inside a hotel and you can barely find the place. The servers had no idea that someone could make a reservation, let alone one on OpenTable. It took forever for us to have our order taken and to just get some water. The food took so long to get, and one person at our table didn't get their food till 5 full minutes after everyone else got their food! I had to go up to the counter to refill my own coffee. At the end of the meal I had to search to find the waiter to pay our bill. This was supposed to be the brunch to end my best friend's bachelorette weekend and what a truly miserable way to end the weekend.

A sweet place to east - Food and service was great! = The Halibut is exceptional.
Staff was very attentive -
THey should work on the Ambiance - as the overhead lighting and barren walls make you think you are in a finished basement-
Lots of potential to be a Hot Spot!

The food was terrific. All four of us raved. We had fluke special, mussels and halibut. Salads and crabcakrs for starters were also exceptional. Michael our waiter was excellent. Great time.

It is a great find. Food is very good. Well presented and tasty. Atmosphere is more casual outside and more formal inside but both are delightful. Service is very accommodating and attentive. A very enjoyable experience.

Sort of feels like the cafeteria at camp, but with much more expensive food. Servers are very friendly and sweet, but impossible to flag down, and food is mediocre at best. Had really hoped for better given the other reviews.

We went for my daughters birthday. The staff was super nice and the food was great. Not a great setting. The outdoor dining is closed in and indoors is dark.

Showed up for a reservation for brunch, was told they were switching menus from brunch to lunch, and was basically made to feel unwelcome, and no effort to get us to stay.

A quiet getaway from the bustle of the Hamptons. We ate in the outside seating area and loved it. I had the cold corn chowder with crab. Excellent. The Lobster Mango salad was a surprising burst of flavor and the hanger steak perfectly done. Prices lower than most Southampton eateries. Great value. Definitely going back.

What a wonderful addition to the food scene in Southampton! Not sure why it isn’t packed. The waitstaff is fantastic, and the food is absolutely delicious. Maybe not enough o a “scene” but we will definitely return!!

We had such a good meal there last week that we went back again this week. The food is delicious, the service wonderful and it’s QUIET! That is very hard to find in a restaurant. Outdoor tables are so nice at lunch or dinner. I recommend the halibut and the grilled salmon. Start with a mojito. And, have dessert! It’s under new management this year, I believe, since the name is changed. I’m glad we tried it.

Absolutely excellent food. This place is a hidden gem. We were the only table in the whole place on July 3rd. The food was just excellent. The service was top notch.

Do not be fooled by the fact that it is a restaurant in the basement of a hotel.

Perfectly cooked meal. Just amazing!

Food and service were fantastic. It isn't clear the restaurant is INSIDE the inn, so it's difficult to find. Also, it's not in the main "heart of Southampton" so if you're on foot, you'll have a bit of a walk. Would definitely go back.

Excellent Fathers Day brunch out by the pool. The food was great and the live music was excellent. My kids liked that they could get up and play ping pong.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Claude's catching up. The food was excellent and catered to our specific dietary restrictions. The menu includes Alpha-Gal meals (noted with an Alpha-Gal label) for my friend Terry who cannot eat any mammalian products. The specific foods for Alpha-Gal, which is becoming more and more common especially out in the Hamptons, was a refreshing change from the norm and really helpful in our decision making. All of the food was exquisitely prepared and plated, and we will absolutely be back!

I made a reservation and when I showed up the restaurant was closed. I was told they decided to close for the night. It was a Friday night. They never contacted me.

So refreshing to dine somewhere where they actually cook the food instead of heating up prepared meals from a food service company. The outdoor area is pleasant, the staff is attentive and knows the menu. Nice selection of cocktails, and they certainly don't skimp on the alcohol!

A really solid place, and reasonably priced (for Southampton, anyway). Easy parking, good location.

Recommended.

After making a reservation the day before via Open Table, My husband and I went in at 12:30 on Monday this week for lunch. Not one patron in the place & it is located inside a charming hotel. When I commented to the waitress the place was empty she responded "well we were busy for breakfast." When I asked to be seated at a outside table, she said no because she was the only waitress around! We left immediately, will not return nor recommend.

Having read some of the reviews, I was really expecting more of an upscale restaurant experience. Cafe Klyde is a nice coffee shop in a very pricey hotel. The staff were all friendly, but didn't seem very engaged with food and wine. At several points in the lunch, we had extended waits for utensils and requested condiments. The lunch started nicely with a charred Montauk calamari, which was garnished with avocado and cherry peppers. It was flavorful and well presented. The lobster roll was somewhat of a disappointment. It was served open face up on a thick crusty piece of bread, which overpowered the delicate flavor and texture of the lobster. My friend ordered the burger, and said it was very good. All in all, it was a satisfactory dining experience, but I wouldn't rush back anytime soon.
