   The food was decent. Service was very good. It was enjoyable but seemed too much like hotel fare, which it is … there was a table with guest talking very loud politically which was a bit bothersome, but what can you do. I don’t like hearing other people’s political discussions when I’m trying to enjoy my meal.

   I had never eaten there before but read that it got 4 stars on Open Table and other websites. Went in the Fall on a Saturday and was in the restaurant from 5:30 to about 7 and there was only one other couple having dinner. I hear that it was more busy when the weather was warmer and people were eating outside. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable for Southampton. I could not find another restaurant in the village that was rated high for food and had reasonable prices. If prices were reasonable, the food was not good. If the food was good, the prices were in the stratosphere. We shared a Mediterranean salad which was delicious. My roast chicken was moist and the sauce was delicious. The mashed potatoes were the best I can remember ever tasting in a restaurant. My friend enjoyed his sea bass as well. There are not a lot of choices on the menu, but perhaps that was because in the Fall there are less diners and the chef wants to provide fresh meals. My major issue is the atmosphere. There is overhead recessed lights that were either turned up to maximum or do not have a dimmer switch. Who wants to have dinner in a brightly lit restaurant? Might make sense for breakfast and lunch which they also serve, but not for dinner. One minor issue was the wine list. There was a wine by the glass whose only description was "Francis Coppola" under the reds with no description of what the grape was. The waitress had to go get the bottle and show me it was a Pinot Noir. But because I was stuck between the Cavit Pinot Grigio which would have made sense with the chicken and the Pinot Noir, she gave me generous samples of both. I went with the Pinot Noir. It was very good. Our waitress Claudia was very attentive and friendly.

   the hostess Claudia really made us feel at home. Food was quite good and well prepared, but we ordered simple dishes and cannot judge Claude's full potential. prices were fair (for the Hamptons!!!) and better than we expected.

    Overbooked so took a super long time for our food. Party of 40 or so inside. Our waiter tried his very best and was super nice but kitchen couldnt keep up. Mgr should not allow so many reaervations

    Both times I've went they were basically working on a skeleton crew. No hostess, barely any serving staff. We had to wait 10-20 mins each time just to find a staff member to get seated

    Wonderful staff, incredible food! Particularly liked the little lobster wonton appetizer. It was our Anniversary, and without asking, they brought us each a glass of Prosecco. Everyone was great. We’re both architects, and thought the decor of the dining room could’ve been a bit more upscale, but it was extremely clean and pleasant as is.

    The lobster salad has little lobster and tasted like coleslaw. The salad with salmon on top was generous but the salmon was overcooked and the dressing was awful. Even the lemonade was awful, not fresh.

    Claude's is an excellent restaurant. The food was great, the service was quick, the waiters were friendly, and the ambience was lovely! All around a wonderful meal and would highly recommend. Perfect for both guests at the hotel and non-guests looking for a place to dine.

    The Hamptons new best-kept-secret is Claude's restaurant located at the Southampton Inn. This season sees a new Chef Giancarlo who has created a menu which is taut and focused on good execution. The ambience is very relaxing and the service quiet but attentive. I had lunch and tried the Claude's Chicken Club - which was tasty and sated my appetite. Ideal !

    Had a delightful time at Claude’s restaurant and will definitely be back! The crab cake, Caesar salad, and wild seafood spaghetti were all to die for. Finished the meal perfectly with tasty strawberry gelato to share. We also caught a gorgeous sunset from inside the restaurant, next time will have to check out the patio!

    This is a hidden gem in Southampton. The ambience in the garden is lovely, which only matches the food and service. The caesar salad and crab cake was excellent. Everything on the menu looked tempting, and was reasonably priced. There are delicious fruit smoothies to choose from. We finished the meal with a delicious dessert and cappuccinos. All around a+ all the way, will definitely be back!!!

    I went for lunch with a couple of girlfriends. We shared the crab cake, the lobster roll and the Caesar salad, as well as the creme brulee and the chocolate caramel dessert. All were OUTSTANDING! In fact, the crab cake--so fresh, vibrant and gorgeous-- was the best I've had in a very long time. Still craving it!! In addition to the food, I love the outdoor dining options Where else can you eat such terrific and yummy stuff with both poolside and patio choices? Will definitely go back.

    Southampton Villages best kept secret is no longer a secret. As a local real estate agent, I have dined at Claude's on numerous occasions for a lovely brunch or early breakfast with family and clients. Now that the restaurant is open for dinner, I wanted to give it a try. I am so glad I did! New chef Giancarlo prepared a lovely meal for my guests and I. From the local Oysters to the red and golden beet salad with shrimp (one of us had without the shrimp, just ask) we were all thrilled and could not wait for the main entree. I had the free range chicken that melted in my mouth, one guest had the cod (very flavorful), one had the filet mignon with the pink peppercorns (cooked perfectly) and my vegetarian guest had the risotto verdure, which she raved about (she suggests more vegetarian menu options). A great selection of desserts and after dinner drinks were available, two of us split the creme brûlée, which was good. We chose to sit inside, but the outside courtyard was busy with diners. It was a very nice experience and everyone should give it a try.

    Everything was excellent except the band, they were absolutely terrible. Claude's needs to do a much better job of hiring live music acts. That's the one thing that would keep me from going back.
