made a reservation from the website and requested patio dining, it was super easy to do. The restaurant is beautiful and the patio had lots of seating, with a beautiful view! Our waiter John C. was fantastic. Really great service and he was very helpful! The filet mignon was delicious and the croissants are dangerously good! We would highly recommend and plan on returning on our next trip!!
Great venue and atmosphere. Food was OUTSTANDING!!! Service was impeccable. Would definitely go back if given the chance.
Our waiter Mike was OUTSTANDING!! We are repeat customers but this was the best...Relaxing and unhurried... the weather was perfect making the outdoor patio seating experience unbeatable...
Very accommodating for a snafu and willing to get it right.
I celebrated my 65th birthday at Clarks and everything was very good. The honey drizzeled croissants served with the salad were excellent. My short ribs were very good and my husband enjoyed his Hurricane Chicken. The only thing I could say was that the Cesar salad was a little wilted and not crisp at all but very good flavor. Our waitress was excellent.
This place is ok, at best. The service was very slow and the fish was frozen, which is odd considering the restaurant's proximity to water. The croissants were good.
Reservations were for outside.
After 30 minutes, we were seated in lower unused area. When empty table noted , we were told that it was being saved for “friends of the Manager”
Ahhh, we were only paying customers.
Christine was amazing ! She saved the dining experience.
Food was just average or below average for price. Setting is lovely for dining outdoors.
Do not plan to return due to food not great and reservations not accommodated.
A perfect evening out with my wife. The temperature was perfect, great view of the marina, service was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. My wife’s new favorite. We will definitely be going back.
Staff was very attentive and go beyond to make you feel welcome. Doug, our, waiter, was right on. Food was fantastic and portions were good for the price. Will definitely return.
One star is generous. We were seated ahead of our reservation, however we sat in our booth for close to 10 minutes before our waiter acknowledged us. The peach mule and dark and stormy we ordered left much to be desired … unbalanced and mediocre at best. The best part of the experience was the side salad (it’s sad this was the only decent part). My husband’s crab cakes were over cooked, black and crunchy outside and the inside was dry; the top of the dipping sauce was darker than the sauce underneath indicating it had been prepped and sitting for an extended period of time. My sides of cooked veggies were hard (still raw) and my tuna steak was obviously not fresh. It was chewy like it was frozen then thawed, there were tough white tendons in my fish (it was unappetizing). Our waiter never once asked us about our food, even after 95% of my food just sat on the plate in front of me … I guess he knew their food is garbage. It’s frustrating to pay for a meal and drinks that you can’t even eat because they are such poor quality. I expected far better food and service. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else to eat.
Excellent recommendations on bourbon by manager
Perfect evening to sit outside under the covered patio. Enjoyed a beautiful bottle of wine with the braised beef short ribs. Tender and delicious. Our appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops were amazing. There are four, but good size so it was just the right amount for the 2 of us.
The service by Johnny was the best that we have ever had at any restaurant! Three of our meals were excellent ! My husbands prime rib came out cold and not med rare as ordered. It was sent back and same piece of meat that had just been put in microwave and this was not definitely medium rare! Otherwise it was a wonderful 73rd birthday celebration !
Food was excellent steak and
Crab cake delicious. Scallops were very good. Only one thing was the crab dip was very light in crab meat could not really taste it. Our waitress was fantastic. Will definitely be going back.
Food and service were wonderful.
It’s beautiful looking over the water.
Clark’s was a great choice for dinner. We had a reservation and we’re actually seated a little early. My husband got a house salad and I had a bowl of She Crab Soup as appetizers. He said the salad was delicious. My soup was “good,” but I like my She Crab to be really creamy and this wasn't that. For our entree, we split the Broccoli Alfredo with grilled Shrimp. It was perfect!! Very delicious, and plenty for both of us. We will definitely go back.
I love the service and the food! The house salad is so yummy! I’ve never had bad service!
We've eaten here before. As a vegetarian, I usually have a salad. I tried the steamed broccoli with linguini and their Alfredo sauce: Delicious!! And the portion was what I would call a proper size for a lunch serving. Not too much, but just enough. The piece of garlic toast was perfect for "lapping up" the remainder of the sauce. I also had the vegetable of the day which included green bell pepper, squash, zucchini and cauliflower. I have never really enjoyed squash or zucchini until I had this! Our server was terrific as well. We'll be back sooner than later!
Great!! The only thing I would suggest is chilling red wine to the appropriate temperature. When you are paying $30 or more for an entree, you expect the wine to be right! Other than that, everything was spot on!
We have always been pleased with the food quality.
The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect and beautiful. Our server was not good, not attentive, and almost argumentative.
We love these restaurants. Oyster Rock. Clarks and boundary house. Awesome and excellent service
Great food always, very consistent. Service is good and friendly.
Our waiter Mike was amazing. Added to our visit.
So delicious! Great view, great drinks, great food! I couldn’t have been more pleased with my evening out.
Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Would recommend and will definitely eat here again.
Husband’s birthday. New to North Carolina area.
Service was outstanding and food was the best we have experienced in our time in North Carolina ( 6 months) and compares to high end restaurants in Indianapolis were we lived.
The only downside was our main course took a very long time. Our waitress apologized several times for the long time it was taking for our food. When it arrived, food was excellent.
Service is outstanding. Food was so yummy!
We found Clark’s several years ago and go every time we visit
The meal and location/ambiance were very good. However, we booked a table outside for 7.0 and had to wait over 15 minutes to be seated because the previous diners stayed at their tables after finishing their meals. The hostess was, frankly, very rude to us as we complained about having to wait. ‘Do you want to speak to the manager?’ she said - not friendly at all.
Had an amazing lunch at Clark's today! Lisa B took excellent care of us. We greatly enjoyed everything we ordered...calamari, house salad with blackened chicken, the pot roast special (order it if they have it...Best pot roast I've ever had!), the fried flounder and the chicken strip kids meal, plus desserts (ice cream, key lime tart and creme brulee) and drinks (dark and stormy, old fashioned, prosecco and caramel apple martini). A great leisurely lunch on the patio. We'll be back!
We have always had great experiences at Clark’s, which is why we keep going back. We have been dining there for years and always look forward to another great evening at Clark’s . The only complaint I have is the music should be background instrumental at a place like this, or maybe Andre Bocelli, not turned up pop music that we have to yell over. The music doesn’t make sense, it annoys me to the point I don’t want to linger for dessert, so we typically go somewhere else for dessert.
Very good experience and great view.
We have had dinner at Clarks twice now, and will definitely return. Service has always been excellent, and the food has been awesome. Two great experiences. Great spot for a special night out for dinner.
This was our first visit and I would have to say the food and atmosphere was top notch. The waiter was AAA. We didn’t know what to expect but everything was just perfect. We’ll be back for sure.
Doug was our waiter and he was excellent. Going back for dinner Friday night.
What a great relaxing dinner! Brett is a fantastic waiter. So friendly and down to earth… after a quick intro we realized we lived in the same area years ago. Fun to bring up old memories etc.
Prime Rib was delicious and the Clarke’s Combo was great too…
Actually thinking of eating there again our last night in town…
First time there and we will definitely be back. Fantastic service from our server Ashly. Wonderful atmosphere and very delicious meals! I highly recommend
