Clark's Oyster Bar Aspen
Clark’s is always a good meal. Best oysters anywhere
We have been to Clark’s many many times and this was one of our best evenings there. We were celebrating a birthday and an engagement! Food and service was excellent as always and the music was at a modest level which was a relief… Sometimes it can be way too loud. We had a wonderful evening and were treated exceptionally well.
This place was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday! The decor was great and the menu had a lot of options - not just oysters and seafood! The cocktails were pricey but worth it! Would definitely recommend!
I love Clark’s and go there often, but when I booked on open table (thinking I was being so proactive, as they weren’t picking up and that was the suggestion on the answering machine) and showed up at the restaurant they had accidentally given our table away. Hence, they couldn’t initially find my reservation, but ultimately they did seat us at a choice spot and we had a great dinner, as always.
Delicious clam chowder, huge shrimps. Fabulous selection of seafood. Unique in Aspen
First time at Clark’s but not the last. Best seafood in Aspen.
Love the seafood here. Linguine with clams and cioppino are outstanding!!
The sommelier was top notch; very friendly and attentive and made some excellent food recommendations.
Noise level a negative. Mussels dish disappointing — very small mussels, no taste.. Apps and sides very good.
Our best dining experience in Aspen. The atmosphere was bustling, yet comfortable and friendly. The open kitchen added to the experience being able to see the chefs in action. The food was wonderful. The Crudo Platter consisted of 4 different kinds of fresh fish thinly sliced and served in a delicious lemon vinaigrette. My husband very much enjoyed the Crispy Snapper with grits and I thought the Cioppino was awesome. It was loaded with shrimp, crab, and other fresh fish. The tomato broth was so tasty I could have picked up the bowl and drank it right down. But instead, their bread, with it's crispy crust and soft dense interior, was exactly what I needed to soak up the broth. Service was efficient and friendly. Overall, a great meal in a lovely restaurant.
Always cheerful and full of energy. Lots of great options. Bread is amazing with radishes and coarse salt. Love it here we go all the time
We mentioned we had a movie to catch and we were served our main course after the 2 tables next to us were served & they arrived after we did. We had to wolf sown our entrees and rush out , the food was good but not a pleasurable dining experience.
We like this restaurant. Third visit. Everything went fine including the restaurant’s attempt to mitigate the problem.
We ordered lobster roil. My serving had over a third of the included lobster gone bad. It was limp like a stored salad. Skin but no meat. It should never have placed on my plate. Bad quality control from the kitchen. When I should it to staff they returned it to the kitchen because I wanted the chief to know. I was not charged and the staff handled it well.
So question, does this happen often. Is there an attempt to keep lobster stored beyond its freshness point? I hope the owner will take note!
Otherwise it was on our favorite restaurant list in Aspen😀
Went to Clark’s for the first time last night and it was nothing short of excellent. Every food item we ordered (crudo, crispy snapper, clam linguine, shrimp cocktail) was fresh and delectable. Little bit noisy but that adds to the vibe. Highly recommend, you can even still get a shot and a beer for $8 in memory of Little Annie’s!
Great food and great service. Oysters were phenomenal!
Great food and great service! Just got a little noisy towards the end of our dinner. My husband is hard of hearing as is his 93 year old mother but we had a great time!
Very good range on the menu, but found most items pretty expensive. Obviously very popular, but got much too loud, eventually found ourselves shouting at each other to be heard.
I’ll be back. Trout, scallops, kale, mac. All fantastic!
My wife’s entree was perfect. She had a snapper dish. Excellent.. I had the broiled oysters which were supposed to be gulf oysters. It looked like they ran out of gulf oysters which are normally large. These were small and then overcooked. I didn’t complain since everything else was perfect. The raw oysters were exceptional.
Great as usual ~ favorites are the branzino and crispy red snapper!
Excellent service, extremely accommodating wait staff and delicious food.
The grits, the oysters (obviously), halibut and by far the best crab cake east or west!
Delightful, active crowd, fun, friendly and we look forward to an encore.
The menu is challenging...because you want EVERYTHING on it!!! Hard to choose! The preparations are absolutely perfection for the New England seafood offerings. The Chioppino was out of this world. Beautifully crafted tomato base with plenty of fresh seafood and lovely herbs and a large piece of garlic toast to soak up the delectable juices. On the down side I had a headache when I entered. It got worse as the noise level was way way over the top. My dining partner said she will not go back even though she LOVED the food.
Oysters were delicious, so we ordered several plates after first trying them. Happy hour from 3-5 is good with $8 martinis (espresso martini is delicious!) and 50 cents off oysters. The complimentary bread with sea salt and butter is very tasty. We will be returning.
Great place in the heart of Aspen. The ambience is warm. The service is great and friendly. I had the clam chowder. It was good, but the best is back home in Boston. I didn't get a chance to try the oysters, but would definitely return.
Fun lunch with family!
Perfect in every way!
Bronzino, shrimp cocktail and chargrilled oysters were outstanding.
Attentive wait person and busers.
The only thing I would recommend is the cheeseburger! Very pricey. The fries are strings, very difficult to eat. Red onion is much better!!!
Best wedge salad ever!
The food was wonderful. We splurged on caviar, and could not have been happier. The presentation was amazing and we enjoyed every morsel. The meal was well paced and the server was excellent. Can't wait to come back next summer.
The food was delicious and the staff is always so eager to please. Loved our waiter.. the second time we have had him!!
We were there for my husband’s birthday. Our drinks, appetizers and dinner was superb.
Had lunch to celebrate a birthday and loved it! Fantastic food, great service, and well worth it!
It is rare to find a restaurant where the service and food are equally outstanding! This restaurant is a 10! Loved everything about it.
Love this restaurant. It’s bustling and delicious. Service is always spot on and we did not have to wait for our table. The lobster roll was sumptuous as was the halibut.
Fabulous dining experience always great food. Everything is perfect
We felt the waitress was rushing us, trying to turn the able by removing things early, asking if we’d like a to-go box and not asking if we’d like dessert.
our happy place! outanding food and service! we are lucky in aspen!
Good food and good service at reasonable prices
Enjoyed our recent dinner and the updated New England fish house decor. Posole was very spicy, Crab Louis was overdressed. Crispy snapper with grits was delicious. We were surprised that our female server had arm tattoos but service was efficient. This restaurant is a good addition to Aspen dining with an active bar.
