   Clam Bar is really not at all well named. It's so much more. A wonderful cosy space like an intimate French bistrot, truly excellent professional service and, most importantly, great food. Yes, there's plenty of seafood on the menu, but more too. The wine list is extensive but even the low end of their options are more than capable of complementing their well structured and tasty entrees and mains. We had this recommended by a chef friend of ours and he was spot on. You are unlikely to be disappointed here and we're certainly going to be back. Especially because they were really aware that we needed to be at a show at 7.30pm at the Opera House and whilst not rushing made sure we were in plenty of time. Really well done.

   Fantastic place for lunch. Great menu and the food is always cooked perfectly. They absolutely nail medium rare on the steaks. Decent value and the wine selections by the glass are excellent. Crowd is business lunchers during the day.

   With a simple yet lovely food, especially the sides (corn and Gruyère or beef fat potatoes anyone?!), I felt was let down by a distinct lack of lighting and quite abrupt service staff who kept on wanting us to rush out.
