Fantastic food and Service.
Food was good. Service could have been a little better. Waiter was fine, just did not see him very often. Maybe under staffed. We will try again.
I love the brunch at Civico by the Park! The service is always amazing, and the food is delicious. They recently added a Dj and I love it. The music is a great addition to the brunch atmosphere and the whole experience keeps me coming back!
Love the unique flavors of food offered. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Lovely dessert treat.
Everyone was very kind and attentive. Food was amazing! The vegan menu is one of the best in the city! Will be back again!
The server took great care to ensure our allergy concerns were taken seriously and offered nice replacements. We appreciate the understanding.
This was a fantastic restaurant! Amazing food, chic and fun atmosphere, and incredible service. The service was perhaps the best part. The value was great and then to have such outstanding service for these prices? Wow! I can’t wait to come here again. I think I would enjoy coming with just one other person to better enjoy the beautiful bar next time.
Excellent fresh pastas and pizzas. Really nice service and a pleasant decor. Definitely will return.
Salmon dish was exquisite - perfectly cooked, veggies and sauce complemented it exceptionally well. Delicious.
Such a great ambiance, wonderful food and very nice service.
Took my husband and my two sons to celebrate my husbands bday and my sons high school graduation. It was WORTH EVERY DAMN PENYY! Wait staff was amazing. My husband and I are vegan, the vegan menu was insane! My teenage sons are not. So we all felt comfortable to order what we wanted .
The food was killer! I prefer this location way more then the one in little Italy. Can’t wait to celebrate something else just so I can take my family here again
We had a reservation for 3 and arrived and were seated at an inside corner directly under a speaker blaring thumping music more suited for a nightclub rather than a restaurant...and we were told we had a 2 hour limit to eat. Not exactly the welcoming greeting you hope for. We asked to be moved to another table...there were plenty of open tables on the open deck area...but we were told the only option available to us was a small 2-person bar table. We opted to leave. I gave the food 4 stars because I know from the other location their food is good but I would never pay their prices for this type of dining experience....even without the music the ambiance inside this restaurant was cold and stark. Felt like a cafeteria. We decided not to stay and walked down the street to what turned out to be a fantastic bistro/brasserie. Without a reservation, they were warm and welcoming and were able to seat us within 10 minutes. Atmosphere was great, we were able to talk to each other without shouting and the food was first rate.
My sea bass dish was creative and amazing. I wish they had had their signature pinza, it was 7pm and it was already "out". Still food was great.
Music was TOO invasive and loud.
Great wine list. Attention to customer service is high.
Came for a brunch visit . It was mediocre. I had the egg tacos shrimp . Although the chipotle sauce was good . It was not adequate enough to keep you satisfied. It was a little pricy for a 6 bite total meal . Drinks were not great and food was subpar .
It feels like 2008.
Took wife and Mom in Law for brunch. The music was deafening, and requests to turn it down we ignored. The meats and pasta were salty, the pancakes too sweet, and three tries at a coffee order still did not get it right. Maybe they were all just having a bad day?
This is my new favorite restaurant! We’d been to Civico in Little Italy and loved it, but decided to try Civico on the Park during the pandemic due to outdoor seating. This was our fourth visit and each time was fantastic! I love the ambiance, the owners are so personable and talented, but it’s the food - it’s exquisite! This time I had a sea bass special that was out of this world. Their homemade pastas, too, are among if not the best in the city. And the desserts - wow!
service was very good-i would say excellent. My ravioli was a over a bed of water? interesting-not what I expected-maybe some beef broth since it was suppose to have ox tail which it did but barely. My wifes pasta was tasteless-until we poured on the zucchini sauce which made a huge difference-but was expecting a bit more flavor all around on both dishes. drinks deserts and appetizers we great.
Our reservation was ready in time. The server was attentive. The food was overly spiced. I had linguine with prawns which was very spicey/peppery. The squid ink pasta had way too much spice which drown out the squid ink and lobster. I much prefer the main location in Little Italy
The mirror in the bathroom 😍! My favorite color being green this restaurant was a dream come true and the food was yummy too!! Will definitely be returning!
We really enjoyed our dinner. It took a long time to get the check, but overall it was a very good experience.
Fun college graduation celebration.
Our experience at Civico by the Park was wonderful! It was 12:30p on a Sunday afternoon & the restaurant was alive with energy! We sat on the front patio which was very private (& nice!). The food was delicious, we ordered entirely from the vegan menu, and the cappuccino hit the spot.
The server began very attentive but once the food was delivered never came back. I’m assuming it was due to how busy the restaurant was. This won’t prevent us from returning but would make more of an impression during our next visit.
1) Overall, nothing to write home about. Pretty disappointed since Il Dandy (previous restaurant there) was a great experience.
2) No attention from our server. We saw him when he took our order and when he gave us our check.
3) Food was ok. It was edible.
4) Ambiance was a little confusing. Kinda cold. There was a DJ in the patio. Not sure what they were going for.
Our server was very fun, he made the whole experience better. The food was great- we ordered vegan french toast, regular french toast and buongiorno. There was a live DJ playing, which made the ambiance more fun.
Service was slow. We were there for breakfast and hadn’t had coffee, we got our food first and then coffee after asking a few times. Restaurant was nice but not impressed with the service.
All I can say is wow !!! This is now my favorite brunch spot, the ambiance, service and food is exceptional.
Nice new little brunch spot! Great food, great service, loved that there was a dj. Only complaint was the lack of champagne selection. There’s really only Prosecco maybe add a Brut option?
First time to Civico. Loved our seat (by the window, great service with suggestions re. The pasta. Great food. The prosciutto plate was beautiful and yummy. The manager came over and said hi which was sweet. Overall great food and experience. Will go again.
Celebrated our engagement with our 1st meal after Covid. Food and service were awesome. Busy and hip decor/ambiance with unique and delicious food options. Vegan and carnivore friendly so food friendly for everyone in your party. Tables were socially distanced and staff was following guidelines. Make a reservation, you’ll need it!
This was the first time we went out to dinner in the downtown area since the pandemic. It was a lovely evening!
It was a generally pleasant experience. The food was tasty and innovative and the menu was varied and catered to a lot of different tastes.
There were two main mistakes that made the experience negative.
One – My wife ordered a side dish of meatballs which was priced at eight dollars but asked that they be vegetarian because they also offered vegetarian meatballs as an entrée. She pointed to the item on the sides part of the menu and the server said that's fine. When her side of meatballs was delivered it was obvious that they had served her the entrée which is $20 instead of a side dish which was eight dollars. When I called the manager over and explained what I saw he said that when we changed to vegetarian meatballs the server put it in as the entrée. This was never explained to us prior to the dish being served. The Manager's solution to the problem was that he would bring us regular meatballs. This solution obviously didn't work because we are vegetarian. We were charged for the entrée. We should not have been!
Two –when I asked for the check the server simply gave me a grand total for the meal. I never received a detailed account of what was charged but only given an electronic screen (which only included the grand total) to sign with the buttons for tips. I chose a 20% tip as is customary which came to $49. I then asked for a receipt and was offered an email option. I chose the email option and when I got back home reviewed the check. The 20% gratuity was based on the total items we ordered plus tax. I have never seen a gratuity calculated based on a total including tax. I find this deceitful and unethical and am very disappointed.
Obviously I will not return.
I’ve given this restaurant so many tries because it’s so close and it’s beautiful inside, but the food is really quite ordinary. The pistachio prawn dish was bland, and the sauce tasted like fish with no hint of pistachio. The oval pizza is the only good thing on the menu. The meatball is dense and tastes like just plain meat. I hate giving a bad review but I’ve been there several times and am hoping they evolve to something more creative and flavorful, especially when you have so many great restaurants nearby, Cucina Urbana, Monellos, Bencotto’s, they need to step it up.
Tasty dinner. Great tiramisu... enough for a family of 4. Enjoyed the calamari appetizer and the Pesce Spada Mediterranean (swordfish); both were very flavorful.
Truly excellent experience
Good Service. Excellent knowledge of food when ordering. Sadly 2 out of 4 food items weren't hot. Seemed food sat a tad too long before they served it. Pizza was barely warm. On the flip side, drinks were very good. I had gone to Il Dandy in 2019 and really liked it. Since it is the same owners, I hope they just need some time to get things streamlined again.
Brunch. Inside they were playing hard core dance music way too loud. I am a club kid so I understand time and place, this wasn’t it. Really hardcore dance music should never be played in a restaurant. Not sure who thought that was a good idea.
We were initially seated in an area off the main dining area, kind of felt like the hostess put us there to keep us away from everyone else. When we asked to be reseated we were again seated in an area where nobody else was sitting.
The table was dirty and when we asked the hostess to wipe it down she did so with the least amount of effort possible. She didn’t do a very good job so we just asked for more paper napkins and then did it ourselves.
It took about 25 minutes for a server to appear, and it was only after another group was sat near us and their server realized we hadn’t been approached. We ordered coffees and water, neither of which arrived before our food.
When the food did arrive it was great. When we asked for our beverages, we were told they were never put into the system; beverages arrived about 5 to 10 minutes after our food showed up.
Bottom line: great food ruined by poor service and bad ambiance. I hope they do better next time.
It is a really nice atmosphere
Service is very good
Tagliata was amazing
But pasta over cooked
Would recommend to friends and family for sure. Nice space to dine, and the food and wine choices were top notch.
The food was mediocre, but the place is nice and the cocktails are good!
