City Table at Farmer's Market
Four of us got together for dinner and we all thought the food was really good. Two of them had the black and blue burger and loved it. Someone else had a cheeseburger and it was really tasty. I had the appetizer sampler which included fried oysters, shrimp, crab balls and french fries. It was very good, only complaint is it was a little salty and I don't usually use salt. I also tried the red pepper soup and I really liked it too. The waitress was very attentive and always made sure we had lots of water or tea to drink. I will go back again.
Nice and enjoyable dining experience! Burgers were awesome and the service was great!
Good experience.. Our waiter was great, attentive and spot on..the food was very good --the sax player was enjoyable..the noise level was high..tough on conversation--will go back..
Great food! We ate early on a week day so was a lovely, quiet evening with a delicious dinner.
We enjoyed our first visit to City Table. The venue is fantastic and a perfect place to spend an evening with friends. The food was fine - nothing stood out as sensational but everything seemed fresh, of good quality, and prepared as ordered. We had some mixups with incorrect side items but it was not a big deal; our server was very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the vegetarian options for one member of our group. I’m not sure when we’ll be back in the area but we would recommend this restaurant for a good, simple but high quality meal.
We were passing through on our way to DC. What a lovely find. We will definitely stop here again. Great location and atmosphere. Close to I-95. AND food was very good.
We loved it!! I must say City Table is by far one of the best restaurants I've visited. The food was tasty an well worth the wait.
We went for the Mother’s Day buffet and were very disappointed! Although the space is nice and the people couldn’t have been more inviting the food was not. First we paid $38.00 for the buffet and the menu said roasted chicken but they ran out. No discount or an apology just “we ran out@. The buffet food was cold with no seasoning.
I can only speak to the brunch which was lackluster for the offering. Very limited menu and a bit high in price. Go to Iron Horse for an amazing brunch with a wide variety of tasty well made food. My entire table was a bit disappointed. And for $200 and drive you tend to expect a bit better. There's so much potential here and I hope these reviews help the owners.
Now for the good. The area and restaurant are beautiful. Owners did a great job in giving their customers a good dinning experience. The service was excellent.
Table was ready when we arrived. Wait staff was prompt and informative. Like the ambiance of the historic building. Oysters were a great appetizer and entree was very good. Definitely will go back.
Absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Waitress was courteous and on top of everything!!! Live saxophonist was phenomenal. Will definitely go back!!!
Loved the food. atmosphere and service. Will definitely go back!!
Food and atmosphere were great!!!! The waitress kept our drinks full. We ordered a variety of different dishes and all of them were amazing.
Service outstanding. Floor manager visited our table for a while. Enjoyed our conversation. Server was so patient with us as we were eating with friends we had not seen in 5 yrs: so we stayed a long time! Food was yummy!
Great atmosphere, food was really good and by far the Best Service I have experienced in a long time. Big thanks to our waiter, Scott. We will be back soon!!!!
Norman was our server and he was the best!! He was very personable, friendly! We were celebrating a birthday day and he made the celebration extra special! Will definitely be back and will request Norman!!
No wait time to be seated. Beautiful atmosphere. Food was great, service was great!
This was my first time coming here for Easter Brunch. I thought for the price of $38.00 was disappointing especially the dessert table which only had donut holes. The waiter however was outstanding.
We have been in on several occasions in the recent past and have had the privilege of being served by Norm , he has made our experience over the top each time . We ask for him now for he makes our visits a true dining experience . I hope he is recognized for his true serving professionalism by his employer. We enjoy all the other amenities of your restaurant but he’s what keeps us telling other how great your place is .
Great meal and great service (again)! Frequent diners. Never disappointed.
First time going, loved the decor, service was amazing. The cajun shrimp pasta was delicious, the only problem was none of the steaks or burgers were under cooked. I would definitely come back
Our waiter was awesome. I wish they had a beer menu.
Great service and food. We were able to sit talk hangout get our food in a timely manner and feel like we were well taken care of.
Fun place with beautiful architecture.
Went twice in one weekend.
Excellent bar - great Martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives
look forward to going back when back in town
Go here especially if your staying at a hotel near the mall.
The prices are too high.
I ordered the meatloaf and it was not worth $15.
The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that I ordered the Southern Chicken with gravy but was served the Roasted Half chicken. Other than that, the food was delicious and I will return.
It was great!!! I enjoyed my self immensely.
A very enjoyable evening at City Table at Farmer's Market. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter, Norm was excellent.
It's beautiful, it was not packed but loud. The service was a mess!
My drink took forever which was only a sweet tea. My friend had a salad, which was suppose to be an appetizer and while she finished her salad I had to wait about 30 min to get my meal (Jambalaya). On top of all, she was told she can't order any more food, cause the kitchen was backed up.
The food was amazing as well as the ambiance, it was just service that was unacceptable
I think this restaurant has great bones. Fundamentally, I think it could have longevity, but they have to update their food options and availability of dishes. The service is great, I believe that is the essence of a great restaurant. I think the drinks were lacking the masterfulness of an experienced bartender and the chef (while extremely nice) didn't have enough food prepped by 1 pm lunch service from the prior night.
I plan to give them another chance and will try to update my review.
Our waitress was sweet, helpful and quick with her service. Our food was delicious - we will definitely be back!
It was not the first time going there but the waitress droped off our check before we even finished eating didnt ask if we where done after i informed her that we where getting desert. She apologized and got what i told her we wanted for dessert and then did it again so we left instead of getting more drinks or enjoying the music like we did last time
Ordered the surf and turf, the shrimp were very good, but the sirloin was ordered as medium, the we cit in the rarer it got. I would try this place once more. It was Valentine menu.
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant! I had a reservation and they recommended a table to accommodate the occasion. Dropped off flowers before hand and they had them waiting on the table with drinks when we arrived. Service and food was amazing! Very original, highly recommend!
I ordered the Southern Chicken and garlic mash. No vegetable on the playe or offered as a side. Just served as chicken and potatoes. Delicious.....but surprised no veg.
Service and ambiance were great. Quality of the ribeyes and crab cakes was pretty disappointing.
Love the historic vibe at City Table. The ambiance is just what we like, friendly. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and service was prompt. The spinach and crab dip lacked flavor, but the toasted pita points were crisp and buttery. Also didn’t taste or see any crab. The city wedge was huge with loads of bacon and yummy, chunky blue cheese dressing. It was more than enough for 2 people. My husband really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. My salmon was nothing special. The chocolate cake was decadent, the best we have had in ages. I had a very nice chocolate stout beer. All in all it was a good meal and we would go back and try something else.
I recently visited City Table at Farmer's Market for a night out with my best friend. We were somewhat apprehensive as we had not eaten here before. We were very pleased with our experience. We had an enjoyable evening out with excellent service, environment, food and beverages. We will bring the family next time!
Food and ambiance were both excellent.
Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and had an outgoing personality. It was the perfect place for our dinner.
