Sadly, this was not what I expected. I chose this for a group of friends after looking at the menu. Was very excited to try the Crab Cake Benedict on fried green tomatoes. Other items on the menu appealed to others in the group. We ended up seated at the bar when one of our party canceled to make us a group of two, despite a reservation. The food came out lukewarm, and worst of all, the crab cake benedict was on an english muffin. When asked, we were told the kitchen was out of fried green tomatoes, but no one had told the waitstaff. Just overall underwhelming.

We had such a great time, it was slow and we were the only ones there. The waiter was so nice and the chef came out and spoke with us. Great time! Other patrons came in a little later, but it was nice.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would ! My 1st time trying to experience this place and I would never go back nor will I recommend. We had a reservation outside, and because it was a bit hot we tried to sit at the bar to accommodate the fact that all reservations were at the tables. The host was VERY unprofessional of how she handled the situation. To the point where people at the bar even said something to me that it was handled inappropriately. The ladies also informed me that they did not have a reservation and they sat at the bar because the host told them it was “open seating”. But we were told only for us our reservation won’t allow us to sit at the bar. Never have I heard anything like this ! Overall I won’t recommend save your time, money, and energy.

Overall, it was a nice experience. The violinist was a nice touch. However, the service was extra slow. We received our appetizer before we got our wine. Which our appetizer was really good, we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. We finished our meal before our second round of drinks came. Another waiter refilled our water, asked us how our food was but walked away before we could even say anything. That was so odd. Our waiter grab our napkin that dropped on the ground and tried to give it back to us to use.

Best brunch experience! The mimosas were potent, and very delicious. We had the pineapple, cranberry & grapefruit carafes & they were all yummy (cranberry was my fave). The food was outstanding! We got the chicken & waffles, butter pecan french toast, shrimp & grits, and crab cake benedict… nothing missed the mark. Our waiter was prompt & indulged us in all of our questions without being snippy. The music was bomb! It was a great variety for all music lovers. I would definitely recommend everyone to come here & I’ll definitely be back when I come to HTX again. Oh, they valet too!!

Overall an okay experience! Live music was great (I think her name was Adejola)! The food/drinks where my critical points of the night. We ordered the spinach dip and a “sweet” wine flight. First the spinach dip was good flavor wise but ours was over cooked. Like completely incinerated to the sides of the cast iron skillet. Which leads me to my next point, it dehydrated the dip to where it really wasn’t much there and it was very dry. Our crostini’s with the dip where so hard and were basically inedible. Second, our first wine flight ordered was the “sweet” wine flight. When arriving to the table, they where the complete opposite of sweet. All the flavors where dry and near brut on the spectrum of tastings. When we discussed our grievances to our waiter, about the spinach dip they stated that the kitchen was closed and that was what was left. Pertaining to the wine flight, we were able to receive another one and it was completely different from the first! With that only one was a true sweet wine. Maybe because it was towards the end of the night, we kind got the tail end of service which was below sub par. I would like to try to give this place another try one day in hopes it will be positive.

I’ve been here before and thought the food was great, however this time I went and the crab cakes were mushy and very small, and the sea bass wasn’t seasoned at all. The waiter was great but I probably wouldn’t go back to spend over a hundred dollars on a meal where nothing was good.
