My chicken with the "Chicken and Waffles" was raw in the middle. Dangerous! They did take it back and bring another but the chicken is not good. It has been brined so heavily that it is all salt. The spicy honey glaze also has a strange after taste; the seasoning isn't right on there. The manager did take this off our bill--and the waitress was great, not her fault. They gave us some pastries as well for free. So they do make it up when mistakes happen. My thought: why does Chicken and Waffles need to be weird? Make it the way customers like it. Buttermilk, salt and pepper marinade while you are making the early pastries like the croissants. Then on regular waffles (or the chocolate that it comes with as an option) and leave off the funky glaze. That would have been a winner. We also bought a chocolate croissant and the girl at that counter "warmed it up" and ruined it. It wasn't warm---it was burnt. Tasted burnt, and now was not soft. The top several layers had to be removed to even eat it at all. The one they sent home was fantastic! Turn down the "heater"! So overall, not a good first impression. We came from Houston to try them out. Unfortunately, we won't be headed back.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Citizen’s Coffee and Wine Cafe. The food was excellent from appetizers to deserts. Paired with a great bottle of wine, we fully enjoyed the experience. Nice variety on the menu. The staff were very friendly. Definitely going back!

This was my first visit, but it will not be my last! I have been eager to try this place out for many reasons & it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable by all, the hostess, my server Bre'hanna, the chef, & the manager, Dragos...each & every one stopped to be sure that I was enjoying myself. The food was delicious, as well. I had the Citizens Trio starter & though I'm certain it is meant to be shared, I ate almost all of it by myself! Then, I enjoyed a nice glass of wine with the house filet. It was done exactly to my liking & the demi glaze was a beautiful complement. It came served on top of several spears of asparagus & some fingerling potatoes. I was a bit concerned when I saw how thick the asparagus spears were & honestly expected them to be woody & undercooked. Boy, was I wrong! They were cooked to perfection. The dessert menu held promise, but I was already comfortably full, so I saved that adventure for another day. It was a Friday night, so there was also live music to add to the ambiance. If you enjoy a relaxing, well-prepared meal & great service, I encourage you to stop by.

This was the second time we have gone to the Citizen Coffee & Wine Cafe. Again the food and service was exceptional. We have not had anything from Citizen Coffee & Wine Cafe that has not exceeded expectations.

While we have eaten at Citizen’s before, this was our first brunch. As always, the service was friendly and prompt. At our table, we had the Surf and Turf Benedict, the Chicken and Waffle and the Avocado Toast with lump crab. Everything was delicious! We would definitely recommend for a different brunch experience.
