Circe East Greenwich
The menu consists of American-infused, Mediterranean dishes and drinks that are "exotic and special."
Service was very slow. We sat at 6:30. Didn’t get main courses until 8:30. Had to ask for bread. It was restaurant week, but main course was very small—beef tenderloin. Compared to other restaurants on restaurant week.
Food was DELICIOUS and service was outstanding! Our waitress was Lexi.
Good service, food was good, interesting menu
Lovely three course meal for restaurant week. The portions were generous and everything tasted delicious. The ambience was nice and the staff was super friendly. I would definitely go back and try the other items on the menu.
Server was not friendly or polite. We will not be back.
it was a perfect evening, everything was as expected.
Tasty food just not very much, small portions all of the serving staff were very polite
For plant based eater the mushroom Bolognese is a must. Creamy and delicious with homemade fettuccine!
Great service and outstanding food! Highly recommend
Food was fantastic! Little hard to find as the signage was small and unlit. The hostess sat us at a table that was too close to others but asked to move and was much better. Overall would definitely try again!
As a group, we thought that Circe was/is overpriced for what you get. On the surface, mid-$20's pricing isn't outrageous, however the portions were very small. Almost appetizer sized entrees.
The restaurant has solid ambiance and the service was very good.
We want this to be our go to
Food and service were good. Our table was next to the lower bar and we could not have a conversation as it was too loud. Patrons at the bar were yelling across the bar to each other.
Amazing dinner experience. Great decor. Excellent food and equal service. Can’t wait to return!!!
Refined, flavorful food. Attentive, genial service. Milieu is fairly generic, but elegantly so.
Excellent food and service. Nice location and very comfortable. Great value. Great job!!! Love it and will be back soon!!
Love this place. Started w Calamari, Wedge Salad, Asparagus Salad, along w some raw bar...oysters and shrimp cocktail. All amazing. Justin Cabernet at $58 a bottle is very reasonable. Entrees were all spectacular...Duck, Prime Sirloin, Meatloaf (for days!), Scallops, Boar Ragu and Pork Chop. Circe EG is executing their menu just as they do at their PVD location. Perfection. Janná is an absolute pro. She served us. Knowledgeable, bubbly, funny. Our table had to be one of the best in the house. By the fireplace under the gorgeous chandelier. The interior of Circe EG is smart. The patio and sunroom will be prime seating when the weather is nice. We dine here whenever the chance presents itself. Kyle (manager) and Courtney (bartender) also added to our evening and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.
They were kind enough to be open and working Christmas Eve. Food was great, larger portion. Looking forward to coming back.
Enjoyed my experience
all our food was amazing and our waiter was great! highly recommend!!
Would not come back. Too expensive for the quality of food. Went home hungry and food was tasteless. My mother’s dish was way too salty.
Food was fabulous and our server Taylor was excellent. My new favorite restaurant.......can’t wait to go back.
We are pleased to experience a vibrant vibe in our neighborhood. The warmer weather months will afford a nice venue as well.
I'm happy to say that I enjoyed Circe E.G. as much as the original Circe in Providence. The service was very attentive from the moment that we stepped inside the door and until we left. The food was great. I recommend the prime rib eye, short ribs, scallops-- but honestly EVERYTHING we've tried on our two visits has been delicious and artfully presented.
Mediocre at best. Would be hard pressed to go back. Service was slow. Food was lousy. Poor choice for a date night - would not recommend
Great menu and service with exceptional food. Very unusual ingredients (avocado ice cream on lobster risotto!), to die for “balsamic pearls” with the roasted beets. Really, really can’t wait to go back - the beef tartare alone is with the trip.
They were serving Caesar Salad with Romaine lettuce 3 days after the CPSC put out a recommendation to avoid romaine. Pulled from grocery stores and told restaurants not to serve.
Many entrees were very expensive, Also, served olive bread which I do not eat. Was told by waitor who asked the kitchen if they had other bread which they said they did. The waitor, when asked for the third time told me that they were mistaken.
Circe is executing their food in EG just as amazing as they do in their PVD location. Wow! Addie is an absolute darling and we can’t wait to sit w her again. Thanks Addie! Jared stopping by was also a nice touch. Vibe is welcoming and relaxed. Love it.
Circe is a great find: wonderful food, attentive service and accessible location. We will be returning very soon!
Beautiful upscale decor, exceptional high-quality cuisine, reasonably priced bottles of wine, combined with top-notch service makes Circe East Greenwich my new favorite restaurant. What you might expect to find in downtown Providence but without the city prices. I just tried the three-course prefix menu for Thanksgiving and could not have been more pleased. I’m already thinking of excuses to tell the family why I can’t spend Thanksgiving with them next year!
Food portion for a dinner choice was similar to a small plate portion. Lighting ambiance does not give you a feeling of coziness. Although I enjoyed my meal choice, it was costly for what I was served.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. The waiter was fabulous. The atmosphere is brighter than the previous restaurant, which is a good thing. The food was delicious. I will be going back. This is easier for me to get to, than the one in Providence. Slightly different menu I believe.
Best duck I have had in a long while, super tender. We’ll go back for sure
We waited several days before writing this review hoping that someone from the restaurant might reach out to us. We left Circe feeling completely unwelcome and indifferent to our ever returning again.
From when we first arrived we were seated in the overflow section away from the interesting main area. When we asked they said it is quieter in here. I thought that was an odd response that they would make an assumption. Our waitress was professional and very enthusiastic. We order drinks and we waited 26 minutes before I asked her where the drinks were her response was the internet was down. Why would that matter for drinks we asked? the drinks did arrive shortly after. We asked another waiter to speak to a manager, we were concerned that the food order was going to be lost or further delayed. The manager said the same thing that the internet was down and they fell a little behind. No we are sorry for the delay let me check on it... We decided that we wanted to leave and asked the manager for the bill her reply was just for the drinks as our appetizers we just arriving at the end of the conversation. Really we were going to be charged for the food? We paid the bar bill left a generous tip. As we reflect on this experience we genuinely feel that the manager made no attempt to rectify the situation nor ask for any information from us and never invited us back for a future visit. I guess we just were not the patrons they are looking for? So with great regret since we did not actually get to complete our experience we can't recommend this restaurant nor are we likely to return. It is a shame since it is located less than a mile from our house.
Food came out cold scallops, meatloaf no real flavor. Sushi special were ok at best. The two orders of short ribs were good and so was the fried calamari. Manager and waiter were both jerky so me and my party of 4
We love the Circe in Providence and were very excited to try the new one in East Greenwich. While the restaurant was beautiful and the food delicious, we much prefer the vibe of the downtown Providence location. This location lacked the intimacy and feel of what we’re used to at Circe and would consider an upscale restaurant. Also, they were unable to offer my husband a cappuccino because apparently they still didn’t have the appropriate serving mugs and were told not to make them in any other mug. This was a bit disappointing and also strange, but I’m not sure how long this location has been open and wonder if maybe they just opened and this is why appropriate serving ware wasn’t available yet. Overall good dining experience with a nice server but not our favorite.
Have been to Circe in Providence many times but as an East Greenwich resident, I am thrilled to have another Circe so close to home. We have already been in on several different occasions and each time our experience was nothing short of perfect. I personally have a ton of food allergies and Carlo and his team go above and beyond to accommodate me. I highly recommend the braised short rib or the salmon!! Their sushi, oysters and shrimp cocktail are delicious as well!! During our last visit we decided to sit at the bar with a few friends for apps and drinks...the service was incredibly attentive and helpful with the decision making. We intend to make this place one our regular spots. The ambiance and food are exactly what we enjoy.
First time. My swordfish was very good and my wife said hamburger was also very good.
Very nice decor. My Husband and I both loved our appetizers. Roasted beets and deviled eggs. We both had scallops. He had George’s and I had the lobster stuffed pasta and scallops. The only thing about the meals that they were small but it was still excellent.
Great tasting food and good portions. Great service.
