   We went for a business lunch but the service was slow. They lost our booking, the staff were rude and the food was average. To top it off they refused to take cards despite the website saying they did so I had to take cash out of the machine. Really disappointed and won't go back

   I had a booking arranged for 14 guests, having received several calls throughout the day to make sure I was keeping my reservation I could tell that Cinnamon were looking forward to the Tuesday night business. Upon arrival I introduced myself as head of the party, we were shown to a table downstairs where it felt like we had private dining as all other guests were dining in the upstairs area. There was a beer pump in the basement area that was loaded with a new barrel of Cobra, could we have asked for more? unfortunately yes! The beer smelled really bad, it was evident the pump had not been used for some time and had not been cleaned. The beer was returned and bottled beer was the order of the night. We had a selection of mixed starters which were fine, upon clearing the starters I was informed that only cash payments could be taken and when I inquired when they new they could not take cards they told me all day. I told them we had a problem as I was entertaining 13 guests, I had £85 cash and was expecting to pay by card, they told me that was my problem and I should use the cash machine across the road. They delivered this message in a very off hand manner, I felt very let down and somewhat embarrassed as I could not pay for the meal even though it was my invitation to my clients. I also felt they had withheld the information from me when we arrived so they would not lose my business to the other restaurants in Brick Lane. I was in a very difficult situation throw in the £85 for the drinks and starters and walk my guest out, as I knew I would not be able to draw circa £700 from the cash machine. Fortunately for me and more so for Cinnamon one of my guests did have £700 + on him and agreed to pay. I will not be using Cinnamon again and would not recommend it, the foods OK but the customer service / care is terrible and watch out for the smelly beer!

   Booked two days prior to attending, for my boyfriends birthday, but turned up to discover there was no record of our booking and had to go next door!

   Cinnamon was really good food, very cheap and friendly service. Bit slow on the service as it was so busy but nothing major. Would definitely go again

   Cinnamon, Brick lane, Great place on brick lane, always have good food here. Only £38 between three of us inc beer and loads of food. recommended.

   The food at Cinnamon was awesome and even better customer service. The only compliant was that the soft drinks were quite flat. The price was such value for money and even better with the Toptable discount. Place was a little quiet but our reservation was at 5:30pm so that's understandable. Will definately go back.
