“Some foods taste so much more complex when cooked on a wood fire,” Craft says. “Grilling is a universal technique so the menu reflects many different cultures but the food will be heavily influenced by the grilling mecca of South America.”
Craft’s focus on simple foods with bold flavors is highlighted throughout the menu and includes several steak selections and rotating grilled items. From grilled pickles to grilled lamb ribs in soy, lime and garlic with a mango-honey glaze, dishes feature enticing techniques and flavors.
Dine indoors with warm wood and stone interiors or venture out onto the new outdoor lounge and upbeat bar area.

Great food. The view from restaurant is one of the best in the city. Good service. Will be back. Please see pictures for food details.
The food was excellent and there was great variety. Portions were excellent and the value was there.
The hostess was very cognizant of covid procedures and made us feel comfortable.
On the first chilly evening , we sat outside under wonderful heaters on a beautiful patio overlooking the Arch. There was great service and food and an overall lovely outdoor dining experience.
I have eaten here twice and the service and food were off the charts the first time. This time the entree I received was way over priced with little meat, tons of rice and beans. I could have just went to crazy bowls and wraps. No Somalia anymore, food overpriced for what you get.....all that was there for me was the view.
Server was great, host wasn’t so great. Food was average drinks were great. The setting and the view of downtown was beautiful.
Amazing service with amazing views. Highly recommend
Really enjoyed our dinner. Ambiance, best in St. Louis. The Squash Soup was over the top and I applaud the uniqueness and will definitely return. Please hold on thru this difficult time. I would suggest more heaters for the patio as it was quite chilly but was able to move tables once someone finished.
It was a great experience. Rooftop with the view. Foods were delicious. Loved the light tapioca flour coated French fries, extra crunchy on the outside. Feijoada bowl was also fantastic. The black beans were amazing with the meaty flavor from ham hock bits. Our server was super nice and helpful and gave us some local food recommendations.
Views are lively. Chilly evening but nice to be outside. Beautiful inside by the the fire as well.
It was awesome! Service and food great!!
We went here to celebrate my son's 21st birthday! Everyone at Cinder House was so welcoming and ready to celebrate with him! The patio has a perfect view! Thank you for celebrating with us!
All great. Overall, a bit spendy but worth the money
Highly recommend!!! Would was great... beautiful views. Can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the amazing views and patio
Worst experience I have ever had with a hostess and staff. We were chastised over having 1 additional dinner guest who got stuck in traffic, while the hotel had over 100 unmasked wedding guests right beside the restaurant. Horrible experience and I advise you to go somewhere else if you value safety and kindness.
Great device by Tina and truly an enjoyable evening .
Stayed the Four Seasons for the night. We had eaten at Cinder House before and enjoyed it. On this occasion we were outside of the actual restaurant which was nice but service was slower and the food was not very hot. It did not seem like the usual high standard
Excellent food and service
Food was good, overpriced for portion/quality. Drinks too expensive. $14 for an ok mimosa. $5 for ok coffee. Restaurant atmosphere was great. Staff was helpful.
This was our first time at this restaurant. We were rushed from the beginning and the server kept visiting our table every few minutes. I asked the server if she would mind taking our picture her response was “Sorry not at this time” (restaurant was not even busy and she could have said no politely) and she left the table. Our appetizer Lamb Chop arrived cold but it was very tasty. Food was excellent and many compliments to the chef. We ordered wine for my wife and cocktail for myself. I ordered second round of my drink which I never got until the end when were done with food. We saw the server talking and laughing with the bartender and it was not busy at all. We were told by her that “sorry the bartender is super busy” we told her to take the drink back as it was too late. You have a beautiful location and a very nice restaurant but we did not get the experience we were expecting. Service was horrible hopefully your management will read this comment and address this.
I took my boyfriend to Cinder House to celebrate his birthday. The staff was welcoming and friendly, the food exquisite, and the views were gorgeous at sunset.
Cinder House was good—unfortunately I expected excellent. Perhaps it’s during this uncertain time that the food and service has fallen just shy of that “wow” factor, but something was amiss. My waiter, albeit professional, seemed detached from his job. Essence, or warmth, was missing from this place this evening. Still a beautiful view and nice atmosphere.
We had a delicious dinner with a great view. The spacing of the tables made us feel safe with the COVID situation and the host and reservation staff was very friendly. The only bummer is that we noted we were celebrating an anniversary on our reservation notes and there was no sort of acknowledgment. I never understand why OpenTable gives you an option to add a celebration note if they don't even say "Happy Anniversary" at some point. Either way, the food was delicious and we had a great time even if it was a bit of a bummer on our first anniversary.
Limited menu but still a great, refreshing dinner experience
This is a great place during this pandemic—plenty of outdoor space. I saw heaters; hopefully, this space can be used for several more weeks.
Cinder House has been on our list to eat for a few months and it did not disappoint. The highlights were the Hen of the Woods Mushrooms, and the Tuna Sandwich. Bartender made perfect drinks.
Phenomenal terrace ambiance with heaters outside. Everything about this place is amazing.
I love spicy wings
I really enjoyed the ambiance. We will definitely be back.
Excellent service and fantastic view! Upscale environment. Food and drinks were amazing!
Glad we tried this spot to celebrate. Overpriced, but it was a special occasion. Mussels were kinda tiny, but delicious. Hamachi crudo was meh. I highly recommend the lamb ribs!! So tender and amazing. Everybody in the party loved their food and especially the hibiscus drink.
Service was slow but we were a big table. Great views! Great atmosphere! Super clean place.
Always top notch! Our server was also the bartender and he was very polite and attentive. The charred onion dip was AMAZING! The rooftop view is like no other & we will be back soon!
Absolutely beautiful venue. After a clumsy “check in” at the entrance, and being asked condescendingly if we had a reservation, We were finally taken to the elevator,-waited in line again to be seated, arriving 5 min early for our reservation. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come. Then it took over 40 minutes for our first drink to arrive. The salads finally came maybe 1/2 hour later, and about 5 min after that, our entrees came- very clumsy, sparse service. For a relatively expensive dinner for 5 people at the Four Seasons, and a Gerard Craft restaurant, I expected much better. The food was good, but not excellent. I realize that we are paying for the venue and the view- stunning- but the food and service should be better. And this was our second time there- 1st experience was not at all top notch either. I guess this is as good as it gets here.
Service wasn’t good, so as the starters (don’t understand why they don’t serve the cheese bread with ham as starters for dinner, way better than the american stile chicken wings and calamari), but the real experience is when you go for the plates, the amazing feijoada and the flan dessert is unbelievable!!!!
Great food. Top apps were piri piri chicken wings and onion dip. Calamari was pretty good but needed a sauce in my opinion.
Ribeye was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Service was a bit slow.
After seating, no one came to our table for over 15 min. Food was not that great.
We spent Saturday afternoon there for food and cocktails. We sat outside and the day was beautiful. The experience was good; however, not great. The service was not as good as it has been before. The food and drinks were OK.
Our server Danielle was AWESOME the chef made an exception and gave us breakfast instead of lunch since we were there when the menu changed. The service was excellent and the Chefs food was amazing the host was very professional and attentive as well. This made my cousin birthday good. We had 4 tables of 5 GREAT JOB!
Great view of the Arch. The nighttime rooftop experience was unbelievable!
Great outdoor patio with great views of the Arch and Eads Bridge. The tables were well spaced out, service was attentive, food was delicious! Pricey, but worth it.
The roof top is where you want to be!! Although you can hear the sounds of the city you still get the breath taking views!!
Food 10/10! Worth every penny!!
A lot of meat on the menu but the salads are amazing for anyone vegetarian/vegan.
Definitely coming back!
