The Four Seasons St Louis is partnering with James Beard Award winning Chef Gerard Craft to bring you Cinder House. The menu centers around the kitchen's wood-burning hearth. Located on the iconic 8th floor of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, Cinder House showcases sweeping views of the Gateway Arch and downtown skyline.

“Some foods taste so much more complex when cooked on a wood fire,” Craft says. “Grilling is a universal technique so the menu reflects many different cultures but the food will be heavily influenced by the grilling mecca of South America.”

Craft’s focus on simple foods with bold flavors is highlighted throughout the menu and includes several steak selections and rotating grilled items. From grilled pickles to grilled lamb ribs in soy, lime and garlic with a mango-honey glaze, dishes feature enticing techniques and flavors.

Dine indoors with warm wood and stone interiors or venture out onto the new outdoor lounge and upbeat bar area.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We were rushed from the beginning and the server kept visiting our table every few minutes. I asked the server if she would mind taking our picture her response was “Sorry not at this time” (restaurant was not even busy and she could have said no politely) and she left the table. Our appetizer Lamb Chop arrived cold but it was very tasty. Food was excellent and many compliments to the chef. We ordered wine for my wife and cocktail for myself. I ordered second round of my drink which I never got until the end when were done with food. We saw the server talking and laughing with the bartender and it was not busy at all. We were told by her that “sorry the bartender is super busy” we told her to take the drink back as it was too late. You have a beautiful location and a very nice restaurant but we did not get the experience we were expecting. Service was horrible hopefully your management will read this comment and address this.

Cinder House was good—unfortunately I expected excellent. Perhaps it’s during this uncertain time that the food and service has fallen just shy of that “wow” factor, but something was amiss. My waiter, albeit professional, seemed detached from his job. Essence, or warmth, was missing from this place this evening. Still a beautiful view and nice atmosphere.

We had a delicious dinner with a great view. The spacing of the tables made us feel safe with the COVID situation and the host and reservation staff was very friendly. The only bummer is that we noted we were celebrating an anniversary on our reservation notes and there was no sort of acknowledgment. I never understand why OpenTable gives you an option to add a celebration note if they don't even say "Happy Anniversary" at some point. Either way, the food was delicious and we had a great time even if it was a bit of a bummer on our first anniversary.

Glad we tried this spot to celebrate. Overpriced, but it was a special occasion. Mussels were kinda tiny, but delicious. Hamachi crudo was meh. I highly recommend the lamb ribs!! So tender and amazing. Everybody in the party loved their food and especially the hibiscus drink.

Service was slow but we were a big table. Great views! Great atmosphere! Super clean place.

Absolutely beautiful venue. After a clumsy “check in” at the entrance, and being asked condescendingly if we had a reservation, We were finally taken to the elevator,-waited in line again to be seated, arriving 5 min early for our reservation. It took a few minutes for the waiter to come. Then it took over 40 minutes for our first drink to arrive. The salads finally came maybe 1/2 hour later, and about 5 min after that, our entrees came- very clumsy, sparse service. For a relatively expensive dinner for 5 people at the Four Seasons, and a Gerard Craft restaurant, I expected much better. The food was good, but not excellent. I realize that we are paying for the venue and the view- stunning- but the food and service should be better. And this was our second time there- 1st experience was not at all top notch either. I guess this is as good as it gets here.

Service wasn’t good, so as the starters (don’t understand why they don’t serve the cheese bread with ham as starters for dinner, way better than the american stile chicken wings and calamari), but the real experience is when you go for the plates, the amazing feijoada and the flan dessert is unbelievable!!!!

Ribeye was delicious and cooked perfectly.

Our server Danielle was AWESOME the chef made an exception and gave us breakfast instead of lunch since we were there when the menu changed. Food 10/10! Worth every penny!!

Delightful experience dining on the rooftop with great service. A very impressive hotel breakfast with unique options like the Feijão Tropeiro, a hearty and healthy Brazilian breakfast bowl. Their granola is excellent too - lots of nuts and flaxseeds and not too sweet!

The brunch menu was limited with simple American breakfast classics, but the food was perfection. The omelette was done just right with the right amount of fluffiness and the correct proportion of ingredients. Get the sourdough toast, you’ll be glad you did. The food was worth the upscale price. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly over-attentive.

Great view and atmosphere! Staff was equal to or better than average!

Samantha at the front door and Dallas as our server made the evening everything we could ask by accommodating our needs.

The food was flavorful and well prepared.

My only complaint was the cut of meats, not necessarily the preparation.
