This is my new spot. Loved every bite! Shoutout to Sara for taking such good care of me and my friend. Looking forward to going back and trying more... Highly recommend the meatballs as an appetizer---tasted just like my grandmas recipe.
This was my second visit to Cibo Trattoria. On both occasions the food was delicious and the service excellent. I ordered off the menu, a dish I used to love at Paul’s, and they had no problem accommodating my request. The only minor issue was that we were seated at the table next to the kitchen so it was a bit noisy. However, that won’t stop me from returning again. I definitely recommend the restaurant and hope many people will support this local business.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. Best Italian in Winston-Salem!!
Great food and service. Am delighted with the new choice for Winston-Salem
Fantastic entrees, wonderful cocktails, and outstanding service. Went the first time and loved it so much we have gone almost weekly ever since.
We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful evening with good friends and great food.
Had 2 chef's specials: brussel sproats appetizer and the pumpkin gnocchi - both were excellent! service was safe, efficient and outstanding. Homemade pasta and inventive dishes are the major draws for this restuarant!
Bad service, bad food. Lovely table on the street. Great hostess. Wish the food and server had been on their game. Had high hopes.
It was wonderful fir all four of us. Will definitely go back. ;)
This is my third time going to dinner there I absolutely love it the food is amazing the service is great the martinis are perfect it is just an awesome Italian restaurant authentic Italian restaurant
We had a great meal sitting outside! Pasta puttanesca with salmon for me, and the pumpkin gnocchi for my bride. A nice Chianti Classico to round it out along with great service, and it couldn’t have been a nicer evening!
I ordered the gnocchi with duck and it was pretty good! I always order gnocchi at Italian places... the gnocchi isn’t as fluffy as I like it but the duck and sauce were scrumptious! I also highly recommend the espresso martini- so good!!!
Wonderful food and service
The food was A - MAZING!!!! I repeat AMAZING. Hands down one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Everything was so well seasoned and full of flavor. Can’t wait to go back several times!!!!
Wonderful fairly authentic Italian restaurant in downtown Winston Salem. We had the Wagyu meatballs for an appetizer and it was fantastic, spicy as in a little heat, but the flavor was great. My favorite thing we had was actually the pesto butter with the fresh bread, it was to die for melt in your mouth flavor explosion. The fettuccine was good, not heavy in any way, I hate to admit that Olive Garden has my favorite alfredo sauce so maybe not a fair assessment. The service was superior, they made sure to be covid safe and still very attentive. Parking is a little out of the way as they had the street closed to allow for outdoor dining, so plan to have a short walk. We celebrated our anniversary there and since I made the reservations on Open Table they knew ahead of time and we received a free desert without even reminding them. Last year we were in Italy so this is the closest we came to revisit their amazing cuisine.
Enjoyed the night and the food. Glad you are here.
Great food, service not so great
Great Italian restaurant, sauce was great, but pricey.
First time here and we will be back! Beautiful and fantastic food!
They take great care to be safe with masks and spacing. The hostess Lisa was wonderful and accommodating, even coming by our table to check on us during the meal. The server, Sara, was one of the best Ive experienced in my Triad dining. She was sweet, attentive, knowledgeable and took great care of us anticipating requests before we made them. The interior is very nice and has a cozy feel. The entire staff was extremely helpful. I had heard the chefs, hostess and some servers came over from Paul’s restaurant in Robinhood, which I considered the best authentic Italian in the Triad. They have taken that to CiBo’s and ramped it up! The food was amazing. The brussel sprout appetizer was wonderful! My friend had the seafood special and he raves about the sauce and the freshness. I had a traditional northern Italian dish that I used to get at Paul’s and it was even better than I remembered. This is a fantastic new addition to downtown Winston right on Trade St in the Arts District. I highly recommend!!
Fantastic evening! Great experience! Perfect special occasion place!
It is like dining in Rome or Genoa or Pisa. The service pace is just like your dining requirements. Its noisy but not too noisy. Good wines. Just a nice Italian restaurant like you'd find in the old world
Great kitchen and wait staff, downtown vibrancy , lively. Looking forward to the opening of the patio, will be a unique outdoor dining ambiance in Winston. Cibo is a new dining jewel.
I went on Thursday evening. The service was great! Daniel was the server and he was very attentive. Food came out quickly and it was delicious.
I plan to go again soon
We loved the dinner we had with you. The appetizer meatballs were delicious - brought one home and had that and the leftover sauce on macaroni the next nigh. Still yummy. We will definitely be back. We are new to WS and are scouting good places to eat Yours is a definite keeper.
My fiancé and I are both Italian. We came the week after this restaurant opened and have come back every weekend since. The atmosphere, food and service are amazing. This is our new spot!!
Please add Veal Parmigiana (with a side of spaghetti) to the menu!!!
Great food, service not so great. Staff seemed very rushed, took a while to take our orders. Never mentioned the specials, would have ordered one. Overall a good, new restaurant still finding it's stride.
The valet and our waiter had a verbal altercation with one another.
First time since becoming Cibo, and will be back. Best eggplant parm I’ve had lately! Accommodating splitting salad for my husband and me. Just wish it came with entrees. Still a small space and they were busy. Glad they use Open Table!
Tables in the back picked up kitchen noise and some faced the restrooms with nothing to block the restroom doors opening, sometime seeing patrons in the doorways. Not the best look.
We loved it! Next time Daniel should present himself as the waiter. At Di Lisios there are bigger portions and the salad is included in the entre price.
Excellent dinner, already wanting to repeat it. Service by Eric was great, friendly and on point, the food, ohhh.. the Capellini Prosciutto, creamy, tasty, delicious, the Eggplant Parmesan, one of the best I've had. The dessert was a chocolate cloud. The bread was focaccia, not my fav, but the pesto butter made it tasty. So glad they have taken over that location.
Cibo is a good mainstream downtown Italian restaurant with friendly, attentive service.
Located in the old Sweet Potatoes location , it is run by former Paul’s staff.
Food reflects the Paul’s style of Italian.
( Don’t miss the spiedino or veal !)
We absolutely loved it! Everything was perfect! Food, drinks, staff, seating outside!! We will continue to make this our Italian Restaurant get away.
We are 100% Italian. This place is the real deal. We went last weekend and are already trying to make a reservation to go back this weekend. If you’re hesitating- don’t!
Trade Street in Winston-Salem is a fun place to go, with lots of places to eat, many of them specializing in fun food. Now they have an Italian restaurant, full service, that is faithful to the recipies of a great chef that the Lee family rescued from Paul's Fine Italian Dining that was a mainstay in Italian cusine for decades in W-S until it had to close because of the Covid-19. CiBo Trattoria is an example of the fine dining that the Lee family has given W-S in their other restaurants. Judging from the patrons that dined there on a Saturday, and the waiting line, I would suggest that there are many people who would agree with me.
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We were sad that Paul's went out of business and elated to learn it was re-opening under new management. They have done an excellent job. There were old favorites on the menu plus new items. The Wagu meatballs are my new favorite. Cibo's is a must try if you like Italian food!
Fabulous food in an upbeat atmosphere. Quaint spot for a nice Italian dinner.
