   Took the wife to Cibo on Mother’s Day 2025. First time we were there….we live in Summerfield, NC outside of Greensboro and originally from NYC ages ago. I don’t know how many of you are from NYC but this restaurant reminded us of the great family Italian restaurants we experienced in all 5 boroughs back when. Not the way overpriced ones but the neighborhood restaurants similar to the one Billy Joel wrote about in Scenes From an Italian Restaurant. Cibo was kinda loud with great and I do mean great Italian food and deserts like those ole family restaurants. Well not sure it’s always loud because it was our first time there and it was a crowded Mothers Day group. But the great food is food no matter the noise level. 👍 Give it a go folks.

   Cibo is authentic Italian food! Our waiter was excellent and the place was packed. The only issue I have is the crashing of plates and throwing of bottles behind the divider. It’s not a low key bar! That kind of noise should be discouraged in a fine dining establishment IMO.

   This is the place to go for Italian food. All our choices were very tasty. Our server John B was very helpful in describing items on the menu and helping us to make choices on what to eat. Timing of the meal was perfect. We will be back to try more items.

   This could be a great place but the food is barely above average. Great service, beautiful setting, good appetizers, but then the entrees came... So boring. Alfredo sauce was so awkward i thought it may be spoiled. Pollo prosciutto was sub-diner level. Lemon butter chicken was decent. But the fried zucchini was awesome. Weird experience. I want to like it but i will never go back at those prices. $120 for 3 people with no alcohol. wtf.

    Cibo was so great!! We got the following dishes: - Wagyu meatballs - Brussels sprouts appetizer - Pollo parmigiana - Eggplant Parmesan - Spumoni (dessert) The portions were big and plenty of food for two people. My husband and I definitely could have shared an entree, but I’m pregnant so that’s not an option for us right now lol. The ambience inside was nice and elevated! The service was friendly. Great spot!! Will definitely return.
