Cibo 17th Ave
Our main-floor is the location of our new café & wine bar with fast counter service and a rustic market offering up sandwiches, pasta, pizzettes and more.
Our upstairs floor houses our Italian full service restaurant, offering reservations and is great for groups.
Superb pizza. Decent service. It was hard to hear at some points because of a very noisy large table next to us.
Great food, great service !
There were 5 of us friends getting together for this meal. The food was great and at a fair price point but out server was terrible. Didn’t clear our plates until we asked her to, didn’t bring cream or sugar for our coffees until we asked, etc, and generally had a very grumpy demeanour. I’d go again, but I’d be crossing my fingers for another person to show up at my table.
We went in for a date night and had wonderful service, food and drinks. Our waitress was well-informed and attentive without being pushy.
Birthday celebration for our daughter. Service for food and table was extremely slow. Food came out staggered with children receiving their meal at least 15 minutes prior to adults receiving entrees. Also very loud acoustically despite restaurant being half full. Overall poor experience.
Food was excellent however service was really slow upstairs.
Food is tasty but the service and pricing/portion for price needs some work.
our server seemed a bit disinterested but no complaints! love the pizza as always
Love the changes to Cibo. The waitress was excellent and so was the food. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Great service, good food for price point, but SOO loud. That would be the only reason I wouldn’t go back, it was very hard to dine in a larger group (8 ppl).
Cibo is always a great choice for consistently delicious food. Literally can’t go wrong
Pleasant time celebrating my birthday at Cibo. The service and food was great. However when it's time to pay, I'm surprised of how big the bill was. I mainly ordered pizzas knowing that 5$/pizza happy hour and 5 pasta dishes...I don't think they put this into account. SO be careful, they may just charge you full price for them 5$ pizzza deals.
Pizza is definitely one of the best I have ever tried
Great place and food! Every time I go it doesn’t fail to impress
Always a great spot for happy hour and daily specials with great foods to pair with! Lots of fun and great service!
We attended for an Anniversary. I am an above average cook. We liked our table and location. The quality of the ingredients, food and flavours were really great. The service was on point with perfect timing. The prices were reasonable. However, at the price point we would have liked more gnocchi as my only small knock (delicious but smallish for a main or sharing). The pizza was delicious and best I have had in a long while. The Calgary and goat cheese dip was also terrific. The ambience was nice and casual but in a good way. We enjoyed the beer and drink special. All in all we are definitely coming back.
Really liked how you have stepped up the food quality, was excellent
Pizza was great! However our server was extremely slow. A dinner that should have been only an hour turned into 2 and half due to waiting around for our server! Good thing my friend and I had lots to catch up on
Was not super happy with our meal tonight. We come to cibo lots with our family and the last few times have been very disappointing, the pizza was not good tonight definitely over cooked and the pear pizza was very bland tasting. The Cesar salad was soggy and warm like it had been sitting out for while under a lamp or something I wish it would have been better we keep going back to give it a second third fourth chance and it’s gone way down hill.
The pizza was delicious, especially the crust. I highly recommend the Bruschetta. The pizza is bit expensive but we went on Sunday for $12 dollar pizza and $5 dollar beers which was great. It was a bit noisy, but overall a good experience.
Espresso machine broken. But didn’t let us know until 15 mins after waitress took drink order. Long wait. Then waitress forgot to enter our dinner order and gave a lot of contradictory excuses about why there was a delay. At least three tables who were seated after us were getting their food - that should a be a red flag for the waitress. Took over one hour to get our dinner. They didn’t even offer to comp anything on our bill. Mistakes happen but be upfront about the reason and offer to comp the bill.
Our server seemed uninterested and like she didn’t want to be there.
Service was terrible
Cibo was recommended to us by friends and we gladly took their advice. Imagine our extreme disappointment when the food arrived and it was poor at best. I had the Linguine with Clams and the flavour was that of a can of tomatoes poured over the pasta with very little if any layer of seasoning. bad to worse, my son's penne was a poor visual presentation and similarly to my choice, it had no flavour and was runny with liquid and he could not even finish the plate. My wife had the caesar salad and once again she described the dressing as weak. The overall theme here is that the food had little to no tastebud appeal. To make matters worse, the meal came to just over $98, which if the meal was exceptional would not be an issue but the price left an even worse taste in our mouths. I feel like I wasted my time and money I can sorely afford but I wanted to treat my family to a nice night out, I hope you can make this right.
Service was just ‘off’. Asked for water...didn’t get it. Asked for ice bucket for our wine...didn’t get it. Took a long time to be acknowledged when we first sat down. Wasn’t bad, but someway ‘off’.
I went with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and we had a great time.
Went out for a lunch date, everything was great aside from the pork pate. Had heard good reviews about it so assuming it was just a one off. Our server was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back!
Excellent pizza!! Fabulous Sunday night deal.
Food is quite good....
Noise level is the killer..
Will not be back
Amazing food and excellent service 🙌🙌
Very attentive and friendly service. Outstanding chocolate dessert. Pizza and fries were very/too spicy! Would come back any time!
great food, server was so kind and wonderful!
The Cibo happy hour can not be beat! The $5 pizza is so yummy and it tastes like real, authentic Italian pizza. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they recently took wine off their happy hour menu...
Great service despite going for happy hour would recommend for sure! Great pizza!
Absolutely best happy hour I've been to!!! Food and service was AMAZING!
Nice place to meet new friends and associates. Also good ambiance for a date.
great service. good food - loved the asparagus! too bad 17th ave is under construction but still nice venue
Hostess very friendly and attentive. Food was very uninspired. The pizza was a fail...dry, no cheese and a little sauce. Our other two dishes were not made well - flavours and texture did not work together. Our waitress recommended a very nice Rose. Thank goodness for that.
Good but menu was not what we expected for an Italian restaurant
Exactly the venue we were looking for to celebrate a successful day of wedding dress shopping! We toasted with the craft beers on tap and the Cibo specials! The Honey Pear Walnut Pizza was INCREDIBLE (even the piece I saved for the next day). Patio was so inviting and had several staff members waiting on us. Will absolutely make the trip to Calgary again just for Cibo's!
