   Well we arrived at Caio a few minutes before our reservation. The restaurant was closed with a cryptic note on the door saying we are closed sorry for the inconvenience. We then had to scramble to find somewhere else to eat. I wish they had let Open Table know so we could have avoided this inconvenience.

   Got there at 630 as per open table reservation-they were closed note said closed at that location tonight

   The restaurant was closed when we arrived and no one called to share they wouldn’t honor our reservation.

   WTF open table! This restaurant was closed for business with a note on the door. Ciao is a fabulous dining experience. That is why I reserved a table with you for a first date with a woman that rocks my word. Open table confirmed the reservation. Then when we arrived the establishment for our first date was closed for business. I was trying to make a good impression on this woman and you let me down.

   Made a reservation and when we showed up for our reservation time, there was a note on the door that they had closed. We never got an email or call to let us know they weren’t going to be open.

   Would have loved to try this restaurant with my wife on our 8th year anniversary however as we walked to the front door a handwritten sign informed us they were closed for the day. Luckily we found another Italian restaurant nearby with no wait. Bad form for them to take our reservations while closed.

   I was so glad that we were able to dine on the last night this restaurant was open. Sergio, worked in the kitchen and the food was excellent. We started out with the Calamari and Shrimp Fritto which was wonderful. The bread served was soft and melted in you mouth. The pork belly spaghetti was delicious as was the pork chop which my husband thoroughly enjoyed. I finished with a chocolate ganache which so creamy I forgot it was not ice cream. Sergio introduced us to the owner/chef Marc who is personable and sincere and we are very sad that they had to close due to unforeseen circumstances. With Marc's forgiving demeanor and skills, we look forward to him opening a sole proprietorship in the near future with Sergio joining him. Our prayers are with all the employees as they venture out on at another place.

   We love everything about Ciao. The food is always reliably excellent. The service is friendly, speedy and well-executed. Wine recommendations are great, and you are given a sample to try for each one you might want to purchase. Hopefully, the owner-chef will be opening another restaurant in the near future.

    Once we saw the menu we decided not to stay. The choices were far too limited and the prices too high. We went to Buanarotte in Lincoln instead and it was quite good, offered a greater choice of entrees, and was much more reasonably priced.
