Absolutely phenomenal Italian food. Highly recommend the Calamari, the Moz caprese, and their carbonara
The service was absolutely awful. They forgot our water, for the salad, waited over an hour for food. Salad dressing wasn’t shaken before puri h do it was all oil. Both my husband and I felt sick after and the next day
great dinner, however our server was not wearing a mask.
The food and service at Ciao is 5 star! We eat there once a month and the food never disappoints. Great atmosphere and amazing staff. Highly recommend Ciao!
Good food, reasonably priced, excellent service!!!
Food was great! Tim, our waiter, was attentive and engaging. If you love Italian food, try this restaurant
Superb experience, highly recommended by our concierge at the Marriott. She didn’t steer us wrong. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, extensive wine list for any budget. The food was so delicious, with ample portions. We liked Caio so much we joked about flying into Myrtle Beach every third Thursday just to eat there.
Being Italian, we know good Italian food and this restaurant met the criterion. Everything had a homemade taste. The service was excellent as well. The parking was limited and we had to park in the adjoining parking lot since their lot was full.
No Covid precautions. Most of the staff were maskless or had their mask around their neck or just their mouth. Saw a table being bused and they just turned the cloth table cloth over and used it again for the next people to sit there. Food was average Italian. Definitely not worth going back and being crowded by dozens of other people within a tight space during a pandemic. Actually, we wouldn’t go back for this low quality food even without the pandemic.
Best meal of trip. This place is top notch. Seems to be a good mix of locals and tourists.
The food is excellent, old school.
My wife was shopping for a swimsuit in Charleston and we commented to the sales clerk that we were heading to Myrtle Beach and did she have any recommendations for dinner since that was her home. Ciao was the first thing out of her mouth and I’m glad we took her advice. Really well run Italian with a strong local presence. Our server, Gabriel, was new but worked hard to make our service great. Apps of fried calamari and carpaccio of beef and salmon were outstanding. Salads quite nice and entrees very good (although, not surprisingly the pasta was a bit over cooked). Good wine selection and great homemade desserts. Not sure we would ever come back to Myrtle Beach but, if we did, would be sure to dine here again.
Fantastic way to carb up prior to the 2021 Myrtle Beach marathon! Bread was fantastic! The Penne Ala Vodka was excellent and huge! My wife had the Yummy Lobster stuffed ravioli and ate it all! Unfortunately the keg was out for Peroni so I had to drink bottles lol. David our server was cool and great. I think the ladies at the front loved how dressed up we were, no beach wear for us.
The food is delicious, creatively presented, and the staff really cared about pleasing the customers. We dined there two nights in a row because we were so impressed with the staff, the ambiance, and the lovely authentic decor, and of course the food.
Good food, great service.
Recommended as a great Italian restaurant. We were not disappointed. Easy to make table reservation on phone. No waiting to be seated. Personable wait staff. Plenty of food. Leftovers for second meal. Little pricy but goid.
Food was amazing
Food, staff, atmosphere always amazing. Brought friends who had never been and they raved about it 2 days later! Don’t change a thing!!!
Their sign outside says “where the locals eat” and it was absolutely true. Clearly, the vast majority of patrons were regular customers. That said, despite being for first time, our experience was very positive. Our waiter was excellent. The food was comparable to the North End eateries in Boston and the prices very reasonable. Definitely a restaurant worth going to if you’re in the mood for Italian.
Outstanding quality of food .. everything homemade..
Great service ,atmosphere ,and value..
Highly recommend if you like authentic Italian food..
We ordered two different bottles of wine from the wine list, neither were available. Our server did everything to try to please us including opening another wine recommended by the bar. We were glad to have tasted before buying since it was young and austere. My husband’s next choice was an IPA on draft, only after ordering were told that it had kicked, he settled for water.
They were very apologetic and we felt bad for the server...she was set up to fail. Food was good, pasta cooked a bit past al dente. They comp us a dessert.
Excellent food. Definitely put on my go to list every time I’m in Myrtle Beach. Service was a little slow possibly because of the worker shortage in Myrtle Beach.
We moved here from the North and have struggled to find Italian we love. We stumbled on Ciao a few months ago and try to go often because we love it so much!
We enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was excellent!
Once again, an excellent meal and experience at ciao. Look forward to returning when in the area.
So happy we saw this on Yelp! We’ve never been to Myrtle Beach, so didn’t know where to eat. It was delightful.
Food was wonderful. Our server, Polo was a pleasure. Return visit on Monday, we enjoyed it so much.
Ciao’s never fails to deliver. This is at the top of our “must” eat location when in Myrtle Beach. Mussels in scampi sauce is our favorite appetizer. Favorite dishes include shrimp and sausage Palermo, veal or chicken saltimboco, calebrese, chicken Marsala. I could go on because everything we’ve had here has been over the top!!
Excellent service . Quality foot all around . Would recommend
Delicious food & wonderful service! Loved our grouper dinner!
Really enjoyed our visit and food. Friendly and quiet restaurant with excellent service
One of our favorites in Myrtle Beach. Ask for David when you go.
Excellent wait staff, so accommodating for our large and loud party. Food was out of this world and great portions.
We will return to this exceptional restaurant. Host greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. Waitress took care of us as if we were family. Chef was outstanding in preparing our entrees. The tarimasu is heavenly!
Great local place for good Italian food and fun atmosphere
Excellent, authentic Italian food. Nice atmosphere. Service was perfect 👌
Awesome. Our favorite place to eat in MB
Our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Excellent Italian food and top notch owners and wait staff. I worry that the secret gets out for this local favorite, and we can no longer get in.
Great happy hour on top of everything else!
