Delicious food, excellent service, comfortable booth, overall great dining experience
The fish and chips was on point and the chocolate silk pie was to die for.
Was a nice, quaint experience for a Thursday evening. Good food and great atmosphere. Wanted a low key evening for conversation and that’s exactly what we got.
The food and service was top notch! It was a little noisy because of a bachelorette party, but overall I was very pleased. Will definitely be going back.
We were seated immediately per our reservation, and the waiter came right over to take our drink order. We ordered water and cocktails, and quickly received our water. 5 minutes passed, and the waiter came by to take our dinner order. We asked about our drinks (1 beer & 1 wine), and the waiter said he would check. The waiter came back with drinks and again, tried to take our dinner order. Now 10-15 minutes passed, and the waiter has disappeared. We went to the host stand to give up and pay our tab. The bartender said she could do it, but couldn’t find the waiter. A manager came by and had the same results. After another 5-10 minutes, the bartender produced our tab. We paid and left.
Food was not good. Messed up my order and server didnt come to check on us after we got our food. Need to just be a bar.
Scotch egg and meatloaf ... OMG WOW
Service was slow and time to get food after our order also painfully slow. We will not go back.
Bo provided great service. Make sure you you key in on the main courses rather than the appetizers.
Interesting English gastro pub inspired food. It isn't fancy but it is delicious. Everyone in my party of 4 cleaned their plates. We loved the fries, the brussels sprouts, the burger, the barbecue sandwich. There was no room for dessert but they looked excellent at adjacent tables. If the weather is right, sit upstairs outside. Great location for tourists and locals alike.
Just an over awesome experience. The meatloaf was outstanding, and my girlfriend loved the fish and chips. Nathan, was the best server we’ve ever had!
Quite possibly the best pie crust I've ever had (The Steak & Ale Pot Pie).
Being born and raised in the North of England, my husband and I were looking forward to eating dinner here, we ordered the onion rings and the bread for appetizers, the onion rings were cold, oily, and the batter had fallen off. The cottage pie was lacking the rich gravy, and taste I was expecting, and also had way too much potato, and no cheese. My husband ordered the fish and chips, the fish was a big potion but over fried and somewhat dry, and the “chips” were regular seasoned fries. Not hand cut and fried as one would expect in a restaurant touting to be a English. Very disappointing!
Felt like we were the only patrons they would entertain that evening. They entire staff was attentive, and treated us so well. Ella was wonderful, and the meals couldn’t have been better. There’s a lot to choose from, especially attractive rooftops, etc., but when you’re ready for enjoying the meal this place is a MUST! Churchill’s set the bar way high for us! Thanks for the great end to our evening.
Crab cakes were the size of a nickel with mostly filler and burnt to a crisp. My salad came without melon. It took forever to get our food but our waitress was very nice and apologetic.
The food was excellent, and the wait staff honest and efficient. It is a bar atmosphere and not quiet, so know that going in. It is a fun place with authentic delicious food.
Must try the pretzel and beer cheese. Absolutely delicious!
I never got my meal or an apology from management for not receiving my meal due to waitress error.
Horrible service. Poor to mediocre, mass-produced food.
A very nice place for a special dinner for two. Our server, Carmen, was very attentive and did an excellent job.
Great service and the bhaji onion rings were great.
Our service was horrible until (30 minutes after sitting down) another person who may have been a manager took over our table and saved the evening
My friends and I had a horrible experience here. It took almost an hour to get bread for the table, and over an hour for our entrees to arrive. Our salad came dressed in water, the food was salty, and the experience over all was disappointing. The best part of the meal was the affordable bottle of house wine we ordered for the table.
Got horribly ill from the food not being handled right. Also very bland
So booked a table thru open table and noted it was a birthday meal.... not one mention of a birthday at Churchill's so wonder why it's even an option on the booking? Food was fantastic, both mine and my wife's food was excellent, well cooked, well seasoned and well presented. However this is the first time ever I have got my appetizer before my drink. Wait for entree was also a little long but well worth it. All in all had a good experience and would be happy to revisit for the food.
Heard good things about the “New Churchills” so perhaps our expectations were too high. Nice food, ok ambiance. But nothing to write home about.
Fun Main Street establishment. Irish food at tables or bar. Good beer
Not awesome. Over 2 hours for a pretty sub-par meal. Service was disorganized even although restaurant was quiet. Food was not very good. I had the lamb shank. Would not recommend.
We loved Churchill's. Authentic British feel in a beautiful building. Attentive service and wonderful meal. The red snapper was fabulous. Would definitely recommend.
Food was excellent, however the service was so-so. Messed up my order so things had to be redone, had to wait on drinks at times.
Hi Syran, I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the food, but obviously disappointed that the service was not up to par for your meal today. Errors with your order and slow drink tickets fall far short of the expectation we set for ourselves and I am sorry that it took away from your experience. Please let me know the next time you plan to visit and we will make sure your next experience with us is the best that it can be. Best Regards, Gareth
First time here, we really enjoyed it. The food was really good, service was excellent and the price was very reasonable, especially for a tourist area.
Definitely worth trying while in Savannah! Amazing food and great service.
Yum, yum, yum! Churchill's has amazing food and service. I have been a number of times and always leave happy. Try the amazing Indian lamb shank, with peach treacle tart for dessert! The serving staff is extremely skilled, and they are more than happy to accommodate those with special dining requests (vegetarian, food allergies, etc.). I like it so much that I have scheduled my son's rehearsal dinner in their upstairs banquet room. Don't hesitate to dine here - you will not be disappointed!
Don't let the touristy location stop you. The food is terrific. The roof deck is a great spot.
Snapper was great!
We had a baby shower at Churchill’s. The brunch was outstanding!! Everyone was talking about the ambience and superb customer service. I would gladly recommend this to others!
Lovely decor. Split into rooms to keep the noise level down . Attentive wait staff. Inventive food choices.
Everything was so wonderful. We were intrigued and excited to visit a place that served British food in the South. Between the Georgia Prawns and Fish & Chips, we were so satisfied. The staff was hospitable and kind. The next time we’re in Savannah we’ll be sure to come back. :)
Innovative nouvelle British menu. Locally-sourced foods. Very great attention to detail write down to making their own mayonnaise. The wait staff was extremely attentive, informative, and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was laid-back, cool, and very professional. paragraphs both see general partner and the chef introduce themselves at the table and inquired about our experience. Paragraph we commented on there homemade peach preserves, and as we were leaving were presented with a small tub of it as a gift. It is a rare place in this day and age that provides any kind of lagniappe. Paragraph I would recommend this restaurant to anyone under any circumstances when they visit downtown Savannah.
Excellent! Steak was cooked perfectly. I will return on my next trip to Savannah!!
