The food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful.
The food was great, it was just overpriced. The quality of meat wasn’t as good as a Ruth’s Chris, but the prices were comparable. I definitely think the food was fantastic and the service was fantastic, I just have a hard time with how much they charged for the quality of meat received.
SAVE YOUR MONEY…Christopher’s is not worth it!
We have tried to support local restaurants during these challenging times, and as such decided to celebrate a family birthday at what we thought was one of the “Top Steakhouses in Utah,” huge disappointment!
There were three other groups in the restaurant, with two servers working…none of the other groups were larger than 5. After being seated, we waited a good 10 minutes to be greeted, and asked about drinks. This should have been a red flag for us, but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The night deteriorated from there. Here are bullet points for simplicity…
* We waited an additional 10 minutes to get our sodas…nothing difficult to do.
* Had to ask for bread/butter on the table, and it was probably 15 minutes for that to arrive.
* Two of us order filet’s…both came improperly cooked. I wanted mine medium, and it came well done…the other was to be medium well, and it arrived rare. When I told our server we just traded steaks, his response was…OK, good.
* We needed to keep asking for additional drinks…most good restaurant servers are attentive to this…especially when working only two tables.
* The food was less than flavorful, the side we ordered arrived cold, and of course, our server was nowhere to be found.
Christopher’s has gone down hill so far, I don’t know if it will ever come back to what it was. I can assure you…we won’t ever support this establishment again. I reached out to management of the restaurant, and of course have heard nothing back.
Lastly…save your money. If you’re wanting a steak in Salt Lake City, give your support elsewhere. There are many other great steakhouses in the city, ones who appreciate your loyalty, and will do all they can to make sure you have a good experience. This is NOT the case with Christopher’s. HUGE disappointment!

The steaks were perfectly cooked, calamari appetizer better than we’ve had at any other restaurant and the halibut was over the top delicious! The best halibut I’ve had, hands down, anywhere. Mmmmmm I want to go back tonight…
The service and food were excellent!
My wife and I wanted a night out at the last minute and were able to get a reservation and enjoy a very nice night out with great food. From the lobster corn dogs to the surf and turf were all fantastic. We also had the crab stuffed mushrooms (which are really sausage stuffed mushrooms) which were good despite no notable crab. We also had a Lobster tail cooked Triton style which was the best lobster tail I have ever had. Thanks to the serving staff and kitchen staff, especially Chef Eric for this great meal.
My wife and I started coming here regularly and absolutely love it. Food is always amazing and the service is great. Special thanks to the manager Michael who always takes great care of us.

Food was amazing! Can’t complain about that. The host, and bartender were awesome. Very friendly and attentive. Our waitress wasn’t the best. Just really slow on everything. Just plan on a two hour meal if you’re dining here.
Had a reservation had to wait about 20 minutes because our table wasn’t ready.
Ordered a Ceasar and received a strawberry salad.
Steaks weren’t cooked right and wasn’t given an option of where to sit at the table because the hostess took a chair before we got to our table. There are much better classy options in the valley I wouldn’t waste your money at this place.
long wait, once seating after waiting 20 mins past reservation time we were not offered drinks or water for another 20 mins. halibut was over cooked and gnocchi was flavorless. service was poor overall and overpriced for the food quality.

My wife and I celebrate our wedding engagement every other year, this was our 10 year Anniversary from when i proposed. We usually go to this other restaurant across the street, but was too late to make reservations. This year we decided to try Chistopher's Prime as a substitute. We did have reservations and showed up 15 minutes early. We were seated immediately. The waitres was very nice and appearance was great. She took our drink orders, my wife ordered a Pina coloada and myself a bottle beer. She returned with my beer (which was only a hint of chilled) and the bar was out of ingredients for a pina colada. My wife ordered some other drink off the menu which was not that great. We were looking forward to the dinner where i ordered the 20 0z Delmonoco Ribeye (medium) and my wife ordered the Lamb chops. For a side we ordered the Lobster Mac n Cheese (which wasn't on the menu)\, a special per the waitress). When our food arrived, it looked delicious. We split the steak and lamb chops between the 2 of us. The steak was under cooked, it was more medium raw than medium cooked. It was very bland and no flavor (for a $69 steak, i expected MUCH better). My wife absolutely did not like her portion. The lamb chops were good, not great. We have had better elsewhere. The Mac n Cheese appeared like it had sat under a hot lamp for 30 minutes. Dry and not cheesy. We wondered if there was even any lobster in it. When the bill came it was to our surprise that the Mac n cheese (which sucked really bad) was $24. Nearly a $200 meal that we were very dissatisfied with. It was Christmas eve and did not want cause any problems. I tipped the waitress 25% and we left. It was the worst $200 meal i've ever had. That is very expensive for our budget. I expected much better.

Steak business must be very good, as this restaurant is competing with two other steakhouses within 200 feet.
Feature this: in 90 minutes - three glasses of water, no beverages, no cocktails, no wine, one appetizer, three regular salads, two bowls of soup, one 8 oz. filet, and one side of spinach = $178 including 20% tip.
Hadn't dined there for years. Was very disappointed. We will not dine there again, nor recommend to family and friends.
We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time and had to wait 1 hr 20 minutes for food after ordering. Our original reservation was for 7:30 and we did not get food on our table until 9:15 PM. But it tasted great and the waitress did wonderful considering the kitchen issues she had to deal with.
Served flat sparkly wine. Was corrected but obvious that the bar tender is not experienced. Overall lovely setting food.
I consider myself a steak connoisseur and the cowboy ribeye I just had from here was easily in my top 5 in the country.

With how much the plates are. It definitely didn’t have any flavor. Meat was way under cooked, and I heard one of the chiefs say “I’m scared that I’m going to over cook the meat”. They haven’t been trained properly.

Great as always! I always go for just their Alaskan halibut, but I tried the calamari, which I’m not a huge fan of, but it was great. Additionally, it was a really good size . Very flavorful, but a little sweet.
Our steaks were undercooked. My $70 rib eye which I ordered medium rare was very rare. My wife’s filet mignon which she ordered medium was medium rare. The Brussels sprouts were amazing though.
We showed up about 10 minutes early for an 8:00 pm reservation and we’re seated after a 40 minute wait. We got a couple cocktails late in the wait period and there was a little confusion in transferring them to our table under the Utah liquor laws. Our server was pleasant and did her best on a busy Saturday. The bread did not seem fresh and did not impress. Salads were just okay and not a good value as everything is a la carte. Stuffed mushrooms were really good. Both entrees were good and my steak cooked to perfection. We also shared a good portion of garlic mashed potatoes with bleu cheese crust (recommended).
Good tasting food poor service waiter forgot one of the side dishes had to request water no other drinks were ever offered.
Atmosphere was amazing, servers were very polite and informative. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Although steaks are the focal point of the menu, the chicken marsala was out of this world, by far the best I’ve ever had.
Our waitress Riley was awesome. She was very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent, we would definitely return the next time in SLC!!
Everything we ordered was incredible and our waiter was very attentive during the whole experience.
Could there be anything improved at Christopher’s? Sure but for this night and for the service and for the cuisine, it was nothing short of a perfect evening because most of all the woman across from me who championed the stares of all there said so and I am wont to believe her. We shall return again and again and again.
