I ordered the Kings Crown which is an 8 oz filet mignon topped with a crab cake and Bernaise. My husband had the 44 ranch ribeye. Ethan was our server and he was fantastic and very attentive. When he delivered our steaks, I smelled a foul odor but thought it was possibly a seasoning I wasn't familiar with. But I soon discovered it was coming from the charred completely burned bottom of my crab cake that they attempted to mask with the Bernaise sauce which had separated. I was disappointed with the crab cake, but the filet was cooked nicely. The ribeye was cooked nicely as well. The clam chowder we started with was excellent and was apparently a special they offered that night. We are visiting from the coast where clam chowder is a typical item so we were definitely pleased with such a delicious chowder so far from the ocean. Caesar salad was decent but they charged us for a split plate even though we would have shared off one had we known about the split plate charge. The hostess was great and found us a quiet table because part of the restaurant was crowded with larger groups. Ethan provided excellent service and the manager checked in on us, too, but for a nearly $300 meal when we only had water to drink and no dessert seems a bit high for the level of cuisine they offered.

The suggested special was delicious but I wasn't told that one plate was $200. The salmon was off but the staff and management were extremely good about replacing it with something else on the menu quickly. Overall I would definitely go again but I would ask prices for the specials to make the best decision.

Horrible, Friday night 7:30 had no crab stuffed mushrooms said they ran out Ran out of filet 12oz No alternative other than a 22oz Delmonico Under staffed Drinks (soft drinks) took 10 minutes to get each time we ordered Brought sauces out in China where the sauce ran down the sides and they didn’t wipe it before bringing it out Med rare steak literally had blood coming out of it, was raw inside They are charging premium pricing to establish themselves as a premier upper echelon steakhouse but the service and elegance was more in line with a Chilies or Applebees Never again

Ok, it's a steak house. Still, food should be well-prepared. I opted for the salmon. Over cooked and very bland side of the creamed spinach, described as "cheesy, light and fluffy". Cheese-- oh yes. Light, it wad not. It was an oily pool of green mush. But...the wine was good. My husband's meal was equally disappointing. I would go back to try the steak.

We went out for my husband’s birthday and he ordered the prime rib which had been aged over 80 days. Unfortunately, the meat was over salted and very fatty. One would think that paying $200 for a steak would get you a better experience but so much for expectations. We do not recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I went to Christoper's Prime to celebrate our anniversary. I have always enjoyed the food at this steakhouse, but I have a couple of items that I'd like to see them improve upon. 1. There was no bread service prior to the meal, which is a little disappointing for a place that charges a premium for the food you order. 2. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we made the reservation and when the hostess asked we informed her as well. There was no mention of it during the dinner. I don't mind that they didn't make a big deal out of it, but it does beg the question "Why even ask?" Overall, the food was delicious (I had the Delmonico Ribeye and my wife had the filet) and the server (Alec) was fantastic.

I had filet with lobster tail. Meat was cooked perfectly, blue rare. Lobster perfect also. Creme brulee dessert also perfect. My server, Yulia was attentive at appropriate times. I have eaten at Christopher's multiple times and this was the best meal I've ever had. BRAVO.

The food was quite good, but not outstanding. Prices are rather steep and everything is a la carte. The entrees are not out of line, but the sides, extras, and wine are a stretch. Riley, our server, was terrific!

Terrible service. Brought Salads before cocktails. Two of four steaks were cooked well when request was for medium. Neither server or floating manager ever came back and asked any questions. Sat with empty plates for 35 minutes until we flagged down another waiter. Honestly I’m unsure if the waitress had any experience. Overall worst service I have had at any restaurant in years.

The food was good but lacking. Mashed potatoes had no option to be loaded mashed potatoes. Had to ask for butter. Crab cakes were not good. Certainly not worth the money. The steak was good but again not worth the money. For the price one would expect at least a nice ambiance but other then white table cloths, not so much. Bathroom reminded me of a bar bathroom. Smelled and pretty much a bar bathroom. Place is extremely overpriced, especially for what you get. $72 for a steak,,,, just a steak! Nothing else. We want ever go back. $240 for a meal for 2 people who drank only water. Ridiculous!!!

I will not go back. For a restaurant that self proclaims "fine dining" I was not impressed. I chose this restaurant and brought two clients who were in town from DC, as well as the CEO of the company I work for. I was embarrassed to say the least! Our waiter was average for an Applebees. Took over an hour to receive our dinner after placing our order. We arrived at 6:00 pm and didn't leave until 8:30 pm, and no, we didn't order dessert. The ambience is more in line with Squatters or Trolley Pub, which is fine if you are expecting to dine at a brewery and paying $18 - $32 per entrée. There was plenty of room in the restaurant but they packed six full tables full of people, all next to each other with no space in between. The noise level was so loud we couldn't have a cohesive conversation. The prices are outrageous for what you get! Everything is a la carte, which seems to be common for a fine dining steak house, but the sides are small and average at best. Each side is enough for two people to share but no more. Our waiter said two sides was plenty for four people - it was not, but they weren't that great anyway. The wine selection was below average. The best part about the evening was my filet with the blue cheese crust. (It's actually just blue cheese crumbles melted on top and not actually a "crust" but it was quite tasty.) If you are looking for a fine dining experience at a steak house in Salt Lake City, I'd suggest Spencer's across the street inside the Hilton. Similar pricing, but better food, larger portions and much better service. I will not be going back to Christopher's and would not recommend to anyone.

It was a celebration of a new job position ! I feel it was overwhelmed priced for the poor quality of food served. The Brussel sprouts were burnt and the meat was overcooked. We all had medium rare and we all got well done. We were also rushed after we got our reservations for 7:00pm and we weren’t able to seat until 7:20pm and it was a slow Monday night.

Food was only mediocre, they were out of the 2 items I came for, so likely low stock on most of their food. We were there for over 2 hours after being seated and service was slow, not professional or even the slightest hint of friendliness. If you plan to drop some cash on a fancy night out, don't waste it here.

We were not told when the reservation was booked that is would be only Turkey or Ham for dinner. Our bill was $600 for 4 people for cold food. It was terrible. Do not go here for any holiday meals at all. My poor parents who flew in town to spend time with us forked over $600 for a small salad with nothing substantial to it, cold turkey and ham, cold mashed potatoes, and soggy esparagus. None of us had dessert. They should be ashamed. No wonder they were the only place in town not fully booked. We had tried Spencer's, Ruth's etc. I even booked two works in advance and Christopher's was the only place with open reservations and now we know why. It was terrible.

Our server was great, the person greeting us as we came in not so great, had a better reception at our local McDonald's! Drinks where standard, food was not. Wife ordered Chicken Marsalis with a side of shrimp, chicken was dry and the shrimp was rubbery with very little flavor. I ordered the 20oz ribeye with a side of shrimp, shrimp was rubbery with very little flavor, the steak on the otherhand was cooked to perfection however the plate presentation was boring.
