A unique journey of the unexplored flavours of India, Celebrating over 300 years of Calcutta's historic cuisine. Enter a world of adventurous new ingredients, flavours and cooking method artfully curated by Chef turned restaurateur Anjan Chatterjee.
The appetizers-Prawn Cutlet, Calcutta Fish Fry, Welsh Lamb Chops, Nizam's Malai Tikka, Tangra Chilli Chicken and Lotus stem sweet potato Chaat and in the mains you our signature Tiger Prawn Malai Curry, Kosha Lamb, Chicken Chaap, Dak Bungalow Chicken Curry, Grand Trunk Black Dal and the Calcutta Style Biryanis are a must try.
We are at less than one minute's walk from Marble Arch Tube Station at 3, Old Quebec Street which intersects Oxford Street and Bryanston Street.
Inspired with natural rattan-stained furniture and cream walls, the decor captures the essence of architecture of Calcutta. Also has a lovely, cosy alfresco dining with heaters.

    Fantastic experience. We had the set menu- the portions are very generous. Authentic taste as well.. there are other highly publicised restaurants in London that claim to cook an authentic kosha mangsho, but as someone who had grown up eating it in Kolkata and cooks it, Chourangi’s is the real deal. We had excellent service from the manager Palash and his team. Thank you for a really good experience. We look forward to visiting again.

    The food was ok. Not bad but Nothing special unfortunately. The food presentation was very basic, not what you expect from a high-end restaurant. The ambience was also mediocre. The cutlery crockery also very basic. I’m a bit disappointed as I really wanted this restaurant to succeed and exceed expectations. It’s neither here nor there : basic service and mediocre food in a high-end restaurant which is quite pricey. If you do basic good food : design your restaurant to provide that for students and general occasions. If you want your restaurant to be high-end and experiential, you should try and achieve that through proper services, presentation and food. It’s an unfortunate mish-mash

    Great staff, very helpful. Fantastic food. A bit noisy and the temperature where we were seated was a good excuse to have more beers.

    Some of best Indian food we’ve had. Every dish was outstanding. Service was a bit slow at first. Otherwise it was a great night out.

    Lovely family meal after visiting Coco Museum just around the corner. Loved the variety of the food ... good to have a different menu to many Indian restaurants.

    Considering the number of Indian clients in the restaurant, we knew right away that we had made a good choice! Truly excellent food and service! It feels like being in India!
