What is Nikkei?
Years ago Japanese immigrants travelled to Peru for work and could not find their authentic ingredients; to overcome this they used local ingredients to substitute. Nikkei was born.

Great food and venue. Only problem was that they set a limit on the table for the next booking and so we were rushed. To be fair they did inform us beforehand but it was very clear they were rushing us and so was hard to fully enjoy it.
Many dishes were not available and the waiter did not know about it. Which resulted in myself and friend having to pick other items really quick.
This should not happen in a restaurant of the caliber and price.
Being kicked off the table after 90min (especially when you order a menu) is way too short for a dinner. Shame as I‘d otherwise love to come back.
Food at Chotto is excellent as always but it definitely felt like tables were too close together upstairs. Service also very slow for a Tuesday night with difficulty getting attention of waiters. Once they did attend, they were friendly and polite as always but definitely had to wait far too long multiple times throughout the evening. No complaints about food. Perfect
Great service. Thank you Sabin!
Last night before lockdown, great experience
Very extensive and exciting menu, on the pricey side but currently offers a Tokyo-Lima platter for £30pp, which was very good value. different and delicious cocktails. Very lively venue dimly lit. Great for a special night out or celebration.
The manager Amir is amazing
Good welcoming
Very professional
Brian our server was amazing. Food was amazing. No complaints. Always a pleasure going here !
Good service and food. Just took very long for drinks to arrive.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and it was our first time. Our waiter- I wish I could remember his name was brilliant. Very attentive and helpful. Food was delicious.
Although the service here was good, the tables were so close together and there was no evidence of any social distancing - this made us feel uncomfortable and we couldn’t enjoy our evening.
When the food arrived it was lukewarm - nothing was hot. My husband and I both had stomach aches when we got home. We won’t be returning.
The waiter was constantly checking on us- which was nice and attentive- but got disruptive and slightly annoying as it was disrupting, since he came almost every 5 minutes. Other then that, amazing food and ambiance!
We had such a great time at chotto matte! The service was great, and the food amazing! One slight niggle is that we could only have the table for 1.5hrs and ideally we would have stayed for longer.
Great food! cool restaurant with a great vibe in the centre of london
I went with some friends for my birthday dinner. The ambience was lively but it’s a little dark in the restaurant it’s hard to see. The food was very good, I ordered the nikkei gyoza, dragon roll and pork belly with a side of rice, the portions are decent and filling. Due to 10PM curfew the service was a little slow past 9PM and I never got the cocktail I ordered but overall the experience wasn’t too bad. I would definitely go again maybe when it’s not so busy.
