Chorizo in Asheville, North Carolina is a world class Latin restaurant under the direction of Chef Hector Diaz, who has spent 25 years creating eclectic dishes. For appetizers, choose classic nachos, beef empanadas, calamares cienfuego, chicken tamales or duck sopes. These are just a few of the starters that you will find at Chorizo. Farm fresh poultry dishes include pollo la plancha, spicy coconut chicken and pollo fajita. Grass-fed beef is very pleasing in the palomilla steak fajita, Cuban goulash and the flank steak. Pork lovers will enjoy the coffee pork, masita de lech�n or Cuban roasted pork. Seafood gets the Chorizo treatment with the caldero stew, seafood chilauilles and wild-caught king mackerel. The night we were there 8/26/16 our waitress told us they were closing the next night without a new location yet. It is by far our favorite restaurant in Asheville. IThe food is worth the 60 mile drive we make. I hope to hear that they find a new home soon. It was originally recommended to us by our friends that live in Asheville.

Made the reservation online… Arrived at our reservation time… But was told that the restaurant was closing two days later and they weren't stocking anymore food and that they could not serve us..You need to keep a more up to date data base

The food was awesome and very creative. The sangria was perfect and food hit the spot, I don't see how anyone could be disappointed.

Made a reservation for 10:15 am on Sunday. Website hours said open at 9am but when we arrived at the restaurant at our reservation time the host informs us that they arent open yet. Unfortunately, we were unable to dine at the establishment.

While the food was amazing, it was seriously some of the WORST service I have ever experienced in all of my times dining out. Not sure if our waitress was new, or if she was just totally out of it, but we waited over 20 minutes to even be said hello to, we all asked for water (there were 4 of us), she only brought 3, and never brought the 4th despite being asked by us. Once we ordered, after 40 minutes of being in the restaurant, the food came in a normal time, and was so delicious!

The mojito was excellent. Our dinners were excellent! We had the salmon and the arroz con pollo- both beautifully presented. The seating is uncomfortable and cramped but the delicious fare was well worth it!

A really enjoyable dining experience... my sweetheart had the ribeye (Ribeye Ala Plancha), which was quite good... but paled in comparison to the exquisite paella (Málaga style, as stated on the menu) that I had ordered. The texture of the rice was perfect, and the seafood cooked just right - tasty and not overcooked). I'll be back... sooner than later. I'd have rated as a 5, based on food alone, but the service was only mediocre... empty water largely unnoticed, few chexks on our experience... maybe due to the particularly inefficient floor layout that prevented our server getting to us (we were in the sidewalk section) without having to weave around tightly packed tables without sufficient clearance. In any case... my sweetie and I will return, as the excellence of the cuisine overcame our minimal annoyance at the lackluster service.
