   We went to Chops this past New Year’s Eve and had such a wonderful dinner that we took our kids Sunday night for Mother’s Day dinner. This time, the prices were much higher, and the portions were much smaller (in particular, a fish entrée and shared sides). The steak fillet was unusually tough for a Chops steak. Otherwise, the rest of the food was good but oddly enough, they had run out of Hash Browns and Tater Tots! Our primary server was attentive although the rest of the service was spotty; for example, we had to wait a bit for beverage service and had to ask for bread three times before they brought a small basket to the table. They also continued to push desserts on us that we did not want. While we attributed some of the issues above to it being the "busiest day of the year" in the restaurant industry, we were a little disappointed with the overall experience on this special occasion.

   Overall, the food was as expected but the service as not great. The waiters never checked in. Only take our order and that was literally it. Never saw them again until I had to ask for another drink and the check. More than 30 minutes went by with no checkin and eventually I had to stop one and requested our check. We would have stayed longer and ordered more but decided it wasn't worth it. Very disappointing. And yes it was busy, but I noticed how larger tables were being well taken care of. So to ignore a table for 2 but provide better service for a table of 5 -- it seems as though it was able the bottom line.

   Chad and team were very attentive and food (filet and black grouper) were both fantastic. Onion rings are the best anywhere!! Thanks to all!

   Always a great celebration. Parking was dreadful tonight and needed someone to direct travel but otherwise it was wonderful.

   The service started with our server going out of their way to retrieve something from the car we valet and it only went up from there! Incredible food, wonderful recommendations, always love coming back to Chops!

    Our bill was 1400 dollars which was fine as it was 8 of us. When visiting out of town and using your cc every values company declines the first attempt to assure it’s you! We approved the transaction and the server swiped again! The money came off our account however after paying we sat for a few minutes catching up on conversations and decided to leave. The waiter blurted loudly running over to us saying our card was declined, what he didn’t pay attention to was that it was the first transaction and not the second one and they was persistent with us shipping again which we told them no! After going back and forth with them for 20 minutes they then realized it was paid! We were racially profiled! I never had an experience of such and to add the manager NEVER apologized! The Mac and mashed potatoes are very bland! Even though we ordered 2 of each and didn’t eat it after tasting we still paid for it!
