Chop was created for people who love sharing, connecting and everything steak. We are proud to offer a menu that shares our commitment to sustainable beef sourcing, serving high-quality cuts of 100% Canadian beef. It isn’t just the meat that’s special – it’s also how we cook it. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender. And we put this level of care into each of our hand-crafted drinks, and from-scratch dishes, including plant-based and seafood options, with something for everyone to enjoy. All of this quality comes with friendly hospitality in warm and energetic rooms. Open for lunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night!

Great food and great service. Beautiful decor and ambience. Food is a bit pricey but very delicious. Will definitely return.

Went at both happy hour and breakfast. Happy hour has some okay specials but I had asked if I could swap out the fries on my dish for a wedge salad. Was told yes for an upcharge. The upcharge turned out to be the full charge of the salad. Not cool. I wouldn’t have chosen had I have known that. My husband said his burger was good but slightly overdone and a tad dry. I did have a terrific Monte cristo coffee made exactly correctly. Advice order everything you want at once so you don’t loose out on any of the happy hour menu if you go closer to 6 p.m after that you pay full pop. Our breakfast was awful. One server on and she seemed surprised we came in. My husbands yogurt parfait was very basic yogurt with some fruit like jam and harvest crunch served in a drinking glass. His coffee was terrible, weak and tasteless. My bagel with smoked salmon was just okay, the bagel was mildly stale and for some reason you can only have a white bread bagel with that however if you just order a bagel and cream cheese you have a selection of the kind of bagel. I asked for a poached egg but got a cold hard boiled egg. The server was kind enough to bring a proper poached one. Even though there weren’t many people in the restaurant it was severely understaffed with only one person on, this gal was run off her feet doing everything. We chose go to there because we were staying at the hotel but wouldn’t recommend it. There are so many other very good restaurants in Ottawa better to get in your car and go to one of those then eat here. Especially for breakfast.

Chop is one of our favorite restaurants. Brought family members visiting from out of town for their first Chop experience and they just loved the food and ambiance. Most of our meals were from the Summer Menu and everything was excellent, especially the Salted Caramel Pot de Crème dessert. Wow!

We were a group of 7 celebrating an anniversary. Our server Chris was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. When we had an allergy based question he got all the information direct from the kitchen. The food was top tier. Appetizers were fantastic ( shrimp, steak bites,dips) steaks cooked to perfection, and the mains all arrived for all 7 people at the same time! Great experience!! They also included a thoughtful card for the couple celebrating. Kudos Chop.

My self and my guests had an amazing experience. Food and service exceeded our expectations. Our server spoiled us on service and made sure everything was to our expectations. A definite great dinner experience.

My experience was good. The restaurant is so beautiful with amazing and friendly workers. The only downside was that I had really high expectations for my steak, with it being a steak house My steak was just okay if I’m being honest. But I’ll definitely go back.
