Located on Main Street in the heart of Smithtown, Chop Shop is one of the newest restaurants to arrive on the North Shore. The restaurant’s interior is accented with brick, hardwood flooring, large retro lamp fixtures, and a unique hand painted mural. Chop Shop is stylishly furnished with a professionally run bar.

Chop Shop is the perfect place for casual dining and special occasions, as well as corporate gatherings. Begin your dining experience with a drink selection from our extensive wine list, which offers a variety of great selections, or choose from our exclusive martini menu. Chop Shop’s menu specializes in a variety of sizzling steaks, fresh local seafood, exceptional pasta dishes, seasonal specials and delectable house made desserts.

Open for dinner, reservations are accepted for all size parties. Chop Shop also offers a function room, accommodating private gatherings for 6-20 people, available Monday through Sunday.

Food and service were fantastic. It was restaurant week and the value should have been much better. An upcharge to most things offered on that menu made it expensive and no true saving when other restaurants offer a better value. That said, food was delicious.

food was very good. 5 of us were dining and all had something different. Filet, chopped burger, stuffed shrimp, short ribs, speciality salad. All food was good. Only thing is that the service was slow and it wasnt even busy. but that aside it was very enjoyable

I love everything about this place. The food is great! The ambiance is romantic. The waiters are attentive and don’t rush you out.

Great meal, service was standard.. didn’t sit in main dining area, and felt where we sat was decent but a little loud, could have been the guests next to us where just talking loud though. .. bathrooms need to be addressed and cleaner.

The service was not up to par and the food was overcooked. When I sent the steak back, it came out too rare where it was still cold in the center and the piece of meat was fatty and not the way a filet should be.

Outstanding Host. Outstanding Server. Outstanding Food, including gluten free choices for my wife. Comfortable atmosphere. Ample parking. And that is why, even though we travel more than an hour to get there, we will keep coming back. A true neighborhood gem! Bravo!

The service and the food were both very good. The steaks and food overall were above average and good portions. We enjoyed the menu choices and the meal on a whole. We were 6 people and had a very nice dinner.
