I was super excited to go to this spot for date night. I made reservations for the Chocolate lounge seeing as it was our date night and I wanted the perks of the atmosphere in the "21 and up" area. Well, not sure why my reservation was accepted and the lounge wasn't even open. No one told me upon checking in either. Instead we were sat in a high traffic area and LOTS of kiddos. (work with them all day, just wanted a date night) It took quite a while to get a glass of water. This is when I inquired about the difference in locations when booking since it was my first time. That is when I was informed that Lounge was closed for maintenance. Bummer....we were attempting to salvage what we could however, 20 min later still no service for drink, food, nothing. I was HIGHLY disappointed in my visit considering all the good things I hear and wanted to experience. Don't really think I will go back.
Made reservations for our family vacation on a Saturday night, as expected it was crowded but since we had reservations we were seated as soon as we got there. Our server was nice he knew it was our first time at the Sugar Factory so he made sure he answered any questions we may have had about the menu. Yes it was pricey but worth it, we will definitely come back if we ever decide to go back to LA/San Diego
Upon arrival I was informed the chocolate lounge had been closed for an event. This information should have been communicated upon reserving my table. This is not good business practice to not inform customers of changes that may have taken place.
Hostess- rude and snobby! We where definitely bothering her when we checked in. And then put on menus on table and left- didn’t say anything to us like pease have a seat, or your waiter will be right with you!
Great ambiance, but poor costumer service. Had a reservation for 8:30pm and they only set us in a table 30min later and on top of that the server took a very long time to come to our table which took us almost 1h to finally order our drinks and food.
With a name like Chocolate Lounge I was expecting chocolate inspired decor. The burger was great as were the plantains but the fries were terrible. The noise level was so high my wife and I could barely converse without yelling. And the seating isn't very comfortable.
The service was super good and everyone was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious!
It is way to expensive for food that is less than great. The service was terrible and the presentation of the food was awful. I would not go back, ever. I would also not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
The manager was awesome and the food was amazing! 10/10 reccomend!
I personally love the atmosphere here. If you weren't in a good mood, you will be once you sit down. They definitely celebrate birthdays the right way!!
Lemar was amazing, he made me and my family feel loved! He needs to be promoted! He provided the best service that I have had in a long time. Please tell him thank you for the deliver sweet experience! We will definitely be back because of him!
We went in for my birthday and they did not have the things to make one of the milkshakes on the menu. Then it took them 30 ish minutes to get our drinks. It was so bad that we were more than half done with our food before we had our drinks. Then my mother and brother ordered the same drinks and they could not drink them because all they could taste was the tequila when the menu mentioned an explosion of fruity flavor. They did not comp both $17 drinks. They offered to comp one. Then they did not offer us dessert or refills on drinks they just asked how we wanted our checks split. It was not the experience I expected for how popular they are supposed to be and what you are paying to go there.
We celebrated my daughters 7th bday and she was very excited and happy when Staff brought her a milkshake and they sang to her. Our waitress was friendly and nice and attentive to our table. Great place to celebrate a birthday! Thank you so much! We had a lovely night.
Location was closed, when reservations were clearly open for booking. Very disappointed
Maybe 6 months from now I would but the fact I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, then confirmed the day of but a couple hours prior and for me to get there and nothing be prepared or even close to being prepared I was highly disappointed especially with it being the one time I actually try to do something for my birthday.
The manager tried to supplement with a round a shots for my large group which was cool, but for me to be stuck in basically what was a fire Hazardous set up for them, receipts split up wrong. Took 30 minutes to be seated. 30 minutes to receive our checks. Countless excuses as to why we could not be moved. Being hung up on when I first called to check my reservation, having to check in twice with the same person when i arrive to be seated, I understand it's a newly opened establishment, but 1. Dont take a large group there. Stick with the sugar factory side as they apparently cant accommodate more than 9 patrons at one time. 2. Call and let them know your party is on the way if you do have a large party.
I'll check back with them in 6 months.
VERY loud place. Service was poor. Only 1 waiter for 6 tables. Took a long time to get drinks, food, silverware.... everything took a long time. Food was good but now with the $25. Desert was bad
Great drinks ! Had a great time for my first time.
Our server was amazing and overall had great energy, would definitely be going back
Something new to add to the list. The drinks were sweet and amazing.
