We had a banquet menu and the food was excellent. One criticism I would make is that for lunch there were too many main courses. Next time I would order from the menu

China Lane is consistently one of my very favourite restaurants in Sydney. The food is amazing, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is convivial. Thank you.

China Lane always delivers. Ideal pre-Angel Place concerts as the staff are so considerate. Food is prompt and we were even given a polite reminder to get to the concert hall in time!

Great food ,delicious and well presented, however the alcohol 🍷 is very very expensive, enjoy the food but just drink water

Absolutely premium place to dine. Food and service was exceptional, while the atmosphere far outstripped expectations. The John Dory was perhaps the best and most intricate fish I have ever tasted, melted in the mouth to say the least. The wild mushrooms were a taste sensation, with just the right amount of spice. Adding to the overall experience was the dessert which was easily on par with the rest of the experience. The perfect balance between the tart of the apple and white chocolate ice cream sweetness capped off a wonderful night. Although I made the rookie mistake of pairing red wine with fish, even this did not detract from a wonderful dine in. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone open to a somewhat different interpretation of modern Asian cuisine.

My friends who where from Vancouver enjoyed their dinner at the restaurant. One of the waiters spoke to us very slowly as if we didn't understand English, it was such a pity to be treated that way if though we are Asians. It spoiled the who evening for me.

I've been before but this visit the food was outstandingly delicious. We let our server decide for us and she totally nailed it.

Absolutely FABULOUS in every way from start to finish. The waiter (from England) was friendly and helpful in making recommendations which were spot on, Cocktails were yummy, loved the Tequila, Passion Fruit with Chilie, the Dumplings outstanding (4 per order) chicken wings were crispy with the perfect amount sweet & spicy sauce and the John Dory (fish) amazing. We also had the Wagu Beef for a main course which was tasty but not as tender as one might think. Overall everyone loved everything but unfortunately we were too full for desert which I’m sure would have been wonderful as well. Would definitely go back.
