Server was great. House margarita was very good. The chili relleno appetizer arrived with cold, unmelted cheese in the center. When I said something about it to the server, she apologized and brought one that was cooked correctly. The scallops was a light dish (only 3 or 4 scallops) that was cooked very well, but overpriced for what you received. The Mexican chocolate fondue was good, but also also arrived on the cold side. Over all, it was a nice just wasn’t the best I’ve ever had and not worth the $210 it cost for my husband and I to eat there.

Cold every time the door opened
Food was good but not fantastic

The food was absolutely amazing and the presentation was gorgeous! I had a piece of wild salmon with a mango chili glaze over whipped cauliflower and potatoes with roasted red peppers and black beans. No one flavor stood out and it was absolutely divine. The prices were high. The entree was $45. Dinner for two with drinks, wine and tip topped $350. I have never been to Utah before and they have interesting laws regarding alcohol. Drinks can only have 1.5 oz of liquor and you cannot order an extra shot. I ordered a margarita which was about 16oz and tasted like a 'virgin' margarita. Switched to wine...

Grossly overpriced. 4 people for $300 for fajitas and enchiladas Do yourself a favor and keep searching.

Delicious- and large portions - highly recommend. Beautiful presentations and high quality. Well worth it.

Dined at Chimayo with friends during a ski trip to Park City. Food and service were excellent. Interesting wine list from perspective that there were many less mainstream selections available. We had an Albarino and a Garnacha from Spain that were very good, went well with our food, and reasonably priced. Only slight negative is that it was a bit noisy for a higher end restaurant.

Great Valentines Day dinner by fireplace, everyone was jealous of our table. Fondue and Elk were 10/10. Perfect spot.

My husband and I and another couple were there for Valentine's Day. Everything was wonderful except the prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, drinks, service. Just be prepared to pay way more than reasonable.

Beautiful decor (upstairs is better) and delicious food. We had the calamari and a Chile relleno for appetizers and shared the Utah trout fajita for our entree. Many of the entrees are suitable for splitting, which helps offset the $40-50 price tag for entrees. Overall, I think it is a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the recommended elk entree and were pleased. Pricey but delicious

Unfortunately after years of being a patron, I will have to downgrade Chimayo. It took over an hour to receive one entree.. The duck enchiladas were tasty however overdone and tough, the side vegetable was extremely salty. The appetizer of quacamole tasted much like a common commercial brand with lemon juice added. The service was good however attentive and pleasant.

Restaurant was very accommodating for our large group and the food was unbelievable. Each appetizer and entree were delicious and we had 8 different menu items. A bit pricey, but you can expect a gastronomic experience

We booked their last seating, a 10'00 reservation, as we were coming directly from the airport. We were delayed and unlike most restaurants, Chimayo very accommodating, didn't rush us out, service was great, the food exceptional, the wine list good value and the prices were very fair. My son had the tortilla soup appetizer and the Duck Enchilada both were great, the Duck was exceptional. everything was great. d

Big issues jamming a group of 6 in a 4 person booth. Comfort sucked for my guests.
Only one toilet for the men in the back of the basement causing lineups to wait
Food and service was very good but would not recommend or return because of the two issues above

OpenTable Diner (Chicago)

Liked the food and the service, but next time I would wait for a main floor table. The basement was cramped, kind of loud and warm and I would avoid it if possible.
I probably would have given a higher rating

We try to get to this resto every time we are in Park City. Imaginative take on southwestern food. Don't miss the queso flamedo and trout fajitas.

Beautiful restaurant, very good service, food was not memorable. No real flavors of Mexico. You can do better elsewhere for the (very high) prices.
