repeat visit here, albeit 3 years ago and it was as good as it was back then. We arrived about 25 min before reservation and they brought us a couple of drinks while we waited for our table. Kent our waiter was great. Food was as outstanding as we remember it. Tortilla Soup my wife said was phenomenal (she is a soup expert), Scallops excellent, duck enchilada's and Buffalo Flank steak as entrees were both outstanding. Lowered score on value, this is Park City so expect to pay HIGH prices for a high level meal. Will return.

The staff was excellent. Food was very good and super filling. Dessert menu unique and great. As with pretty much everything we experienced in Park City, the prices are high. I felt it was worth it but would no argue with others disagreeing. Some of the patrons although were super rude. Had one jerk and his girlfriend step in front of us while waiting for our table (we had reservations, and honestly, we did not wait more than a few minutes) so he could be seated first. Another family came in sat down, read menu, got up and stormed out. While doing so hit empty chair at our table with her arm and nearly knocked it over with Wifes purse and stuff on it. Didn't even look our way, just grunted and continued on her way to probably offend others.

Food was good but not outstanding. It was artfully displayed but sauce around my scallops a little overpowering for them. Quite expensive . The margarita was very tasty. Excellent waiter.

First and foremost, the service was 5 stars. Matt was our server, and he was an absolute professional. We booked a reservation and had no issue getting seated as soon as we showed up, Matt let us know the specials, and was attentive. Shortly after being seated, we were served bread with this delicious cilantro sauce. Then we ordered the goat cheese chile relleno with an exceptional panko crust. It was crunchy and delicious. Then we ordered the Blackened Wagyu Steak, and I ordered the Wagyu Surf and Turf. First the Blackened Wagyu. It came with a twice baked potato and collard greens. The collard greens were AMAZING. It was creamy and had a subtle taste of horseradish. Second, the Wagyu Surf and Turf. It came with a lobster tail, broccolini, and layered potatoes. The issue I had was with the red chili sauce or whatever covered the tail and steak. The sauce covered the entire dish, so everything tasted like the sauce. Additionally, the steak was cooked perfectly, but the tail was very chewy and tough. You could tell it was overcooked. Lastly, I ordered the flan. I grew up in Southern California and ate flan often. I love it; however, I don't like when restaurants try to place a spin on it. Chimayo's idea of flan is a sweet custard -which I like - with poached figs on top. If I'm being honest, it tasted like I was eating a pack of raisins. I would eat here again, it just wouldn't be my first choice.

Made reservations, but arrived early and were promptly seated at one of our favorite tables. The bread and cilantro lime dipping sauce is sublime. I ordered a couple of my favorites which was the ceviche appetizer and Arturo’s Tortilla Soup of which neither disappointed in flavor. The ceviche is consistently the absolute best anywhere. The tortilla soup is rich and flavorful with a little spice, topped off with small blocks of cheese, guacamole & thin tortilla chips. It appears over the last 3-4 years that the portions have been reduced, which I especially noticed on the bowl size for the soup. One of the items my wife ordered was the Corn Soup, which she discovered was exceptionally delicious, a little sweet and creamy & with a touch of southwestern flavor. Because of the food, the southwestern ambience, and the Park City location, Chimayo is our favorite restaurant west of the Mississippi River. We make it a point to visit 2-3 times a year.
