Wow, so happy there’s a restaurant like this in midtown now! Food was excellent value for the portions and quality. Stews were piping hot and deliciously comforting. Ceviche had a good amount of fish in it and was fresh. Friendly service. We hope to come back soon.

Brought my Peruvian friend here for her birthday. Great location and ambiance. Menu selection was good and our server knew the menu well. Food was attractively served and tasted great. My Peruvian friend was so impressed with it. Very happy with this experience!

My son and I had a wonderful dinner at Chicha last night. We were warmly greeting at the door and seated in the very appealing dining room. Jesus was our server and couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. We started with mimosas (excellent) and the tamal appetizer (delicious). My son had a ceviche which he was very pleased with. I opted for a chicken dish, pollopachamanquero (pardon my spelling). I have never had any Peruvian food except for roasted chicken, and this dish was beyond flavorful. What a delicious sauce and all the vegetables in the sauce were done to perfection. We ended with the chocolate mousse cake, although all the desserts sounded good. We will definitely be back.

This place is fantastic, great food, service, and atmosphere. Wonderful Peruvian flavor. the Ceviche Sampler and the entrees so tasteful. Plus our server Issa is simply the best. We were extremely satisfied with Chicha!

Good ceviches and our server was very nice. However they don’t do substitutions which is very inconvenient, most dishes have rice and fries and my wife doesn’t eat rice or gluten. Also, they gave our order to another table by mistake so we had to wait extra to get our food.

We love Peruvian food. Our favorite restaurant is Limon in San Francisco. So we were looking forward to eating at Chicha finally. The experience was less than stellar. We arrived at 11:30am for Mother's Day lunch. The restaurant was half full. We were seated immediately and the waiter took our drinks order. The sangria and lemonade came out quickly, but it took 20 minutes to get two cups of tea and some ice water. We ordered our food, and it arrived 50 minutes after we were seated. The food runner didn't know whose plate was whose, so we had to sort it out ourselves. The meals came out staggered. The mahi mahi was a mix of hot and cold; we mentioned it to the waiter but nothing was done. The two chicken dishes (pollo saltado and pollo pachamenquero) were both very good and flavorful, and the chicha morada sangria was tasty. We skipped dessert and then on the way out, noticed that other tables had rolls brought to the table after the tables were sat. We never received any bread, but if we had, would have gone a long way to sate us while we waited nearly an hour for our food. Despite the food being good, the service was poor overall, so I can't see us returning.
