We had a very good time. Our waiter was understanding of our schedule and worked around everything.
Amazing experience through and through! We went there this past Saturday for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. There were 11 of us in a private room and the service and food could not be better. We enjoyed a whole mix of things from hush puppies to fried green tomatoes to brisket and it was all amazing. They even topped it off with a giant piece of chocolate cake with a candle, for all 11 of us to share – it was that big enough! Kudos to the whole staff for our experience!
Bartender Kristin was awesome!
Such an amazing night celebrating my boyfriends birthday at Chicago Q. The service is always too notch, the ambiance is perfect, and the food was outstanding. Although I frequent Chicago Q, it was my boyfriends first time & he absolutely loved it. We’re already planning our next visit!
Service from the kitchen was a bit slow. We waited a fairly long time for our food. Otherwise, very good.
Love the food, everything was amazing! Just wish the fried alligator was a bigger portion!! Lol
The food is fantastic. The burnt ends are a must. I love the chips and pickles they bring at the beginning. We had the pulled pork and chicken. Some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. The cocktails were great too! We live out of town. This was our second time here, and we came back on our annual anniversary trip to the city, bc it was so good the first time around. We will definitely go back again next year. The restaurant is adorable. We enjoy sitting near the fireplace. The staff was attentive and kind.
Enjoyable change of pace from r usual restaurants. Food was delicious!
Food was slow coming out of kitchen, but service from Robert was very good.
Next time We would prefer to sit in a booth,
Great Pitmaster that's not afraid to experiment but keeping the basics always consistent.
Tried the wagyu beef brisket once and went back for more. Found the special now on the apps section with wagyu burnt ends and had the prime brisket. Both were excelent. Very nice ambiance and decor with a more modern aproach. Had a newer waiter that wasn't too confortable yet however the floor manager was very atentive and covered it.
Will gladly return :)
I absolutely loved this place! The food was stellar! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and the atmosphere was perfect for what we were going for. The only negative review I had was when we entered we stood at the door for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Which was frustrating because we had a reservation. Took my friend here to celebrate his birthday upon request. But I will definitely be back!
We love q! Always a wonderful date night. Great old fashioned cocktails which is fun. Would recommend to anyone and it’s right down town. We’ll be back again and again.
Food was good, prices are reasonable. They have live music which is extremely loud which kind of killed the night .
I finally learned the lesson after coming here a few times over the past several years: don't order the babecue. In the past I've had barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, platters, combos, specialties, etc. Each time they would either come out dry, or they'd come out moist and start drying out as soon as they hit the air. And we're not talking dry rub barbecue here. They give you a choice of several sauces which are very nice but you have to continue to pour sauce on the meat otherwise you'll have a mouthful of dry, cooled off pork. This time I wised up and had the hamburger. I gotta say, it really is very good. But it's a friendly casual place to come and the service is friendly and the prices decent. Nice ambiance for a casual night out.
Awesome service and an all around fantastic dinner. Great priced happy hour drinks were a plus as well!
Went for my Dads birthday with his new girlfriend. Definitely a crowd pleaser with competition ribs.
Great food. Good service. Staff was very busy with some tables that seemed to monopolize the staff, which I find rude on the part of the customer. That being said, the staff really worked hard ro give all diners excellent service. Very crowded and noisy, so you may want to keep that in mind if you're looking for a quiet intimate dinner. But the food is great and we'll be back.
Fantastic table in the rotunda. It faced the street and we looked out into the city. A big deal for country folks like us. Excellent pancake and other brunch items. Husband got the ends and pieces as an entree and loved it! Try it out! Easy downtown parking on a Sunday too!
They made the celebration of my 5 year anniversary very special! My boyfriend and I came here a few years back on one of our first dates and wanted to add some nostalgia to our anniversary celebration this year. When we arrived, we were greeted with a champagne toast compliments of the manager! The overall experience was great: the food was delicious, the ambiance was just what we were looking for, and the service was exceptional. Thank you for making our special day that much better!
We went for restaurant week. The portions are pretty good though some of our chips were stale. The pulled pork was really delicious. I would have loved if the cookie was warm.
Just love this place! Great upscale barbecue! Second time I have been here!
The food was wonderful and bountiful. Our server could have been more attentive, however; Jim, their resident magician helped pass the time in a delightful way. He was both interesting and entertaining. My husband had the ribs and I had the chicken and waffles, both were delicious.
Seated immediately great ambiance, service, and food. Came in for restaurant week but ended up ordering off the main menu. Totally enjoyed.
Food was really great but the service was very slow, and it was a fairly empty restaurant for a Monday evening. Took forever to get a cocktail (despite two bartenders tending a fairly empty bar). Restaurant had one last bottle (4 oz.) of sparkling water.... that was it! Art: the service and non-food offerings should be on par with your menu and the very very good tasting food.
This was our 5th time to Q, and it was as good as ever. Did the restaurant week menu this time. Great value for the money. Barely finished half my brisket so I have lunch the next day as well. Great service. Great drinks. Great food.
Excellent food and service. Best housemate pickles I’ve ever had...
Larger than expected portions which was a good thing.
My experience at Chicago q was outstanding as usual. This was our first time trying the brunch menu and it was amazing. They had most of their regular items on the brunch menu which was a plus, just with added breakfast items. I ordered the smoked chicken benedict and others at my table ordered the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. All food came out perfect and the service was exceptional. Will be back here again and again.
I’ve lived within 2 blocks of Q for the past 5+ years. Sadly, over the past few years the quality and service has gone down hill, but the prices have not followed. It was still decent food, but my brisket was mostly fat and our service was off. For a mid-priced dinner, there are sadly better options. However, if you have a large group, they are typically able to accommodate.
Quality BBQ with great ambiance. Wonderful wait staff that allowed conversation time with the delicious food. Can not wait to go back!
Truly exceptional BBQ in a city known for great BBQ.
I've been here several time now an my experience remains unwavered. the food, service and bang for the buck is awesome. Make sure you try the hush puppies, mac and alligator and save room for carrot cake!
I loved it.
Restaurant was Closed. Open table allowed us to book even though restaurant was shut. Poor
OMG! Some of the best BBQ I've ever had!
We’ve been here many times for dinner so we decided to come in for an impromptu brunch. And boy we were disappointed in the food. The service, however, was excellent. My ribs were overcooked, the kitchen didn’t have coleslaw, the southern Benedict was tepid warm and the meat on the dish was very dry. Disappointed for sure.
Awesome food. Great Atmosphere. Mitzi was a phenomenal server-can't remember when I had a better server.
Great meal. Best the food has ever been.
Great service and great food. Felt like the dining room was a little bright and for better ambiance could lower the lighting a little bit, but overall a good experience.
Very accommodative staff, service couldn't have been better. Ribs were best in Chicago and prices were moderate. Pecan pie nest I've had and baked in house. A neighborhood gem.
