This was our 5th time to Q, and it was as good as ever. Did the restaurant week menu this time. Great value for the money. Barely finished half my brisket so I have lunch the next day as well. Great service. Great drinks. Great food.
I’ve lived within 2 blocks of Q for the past 5+ years. Sadly, over the past few years the quality and service has gone down hill, but the prices have not followed. It was still decent food, but my brisket was mostly fat and our service was off. For a mid-priced dinner, there are sadly better options. However, if you have a large group, they are typically able to accommodate.
Quality BBQ with great ambiance. Wonderful wait staff that allowed conversation time with the delicious food. Can not wait to go back!
Truly exceptional BBQ in a city known for great BBQ.
I've been here several time now an my experience remains unwavered. the food, service and bang for the buck is awesome. Make sure you try the hush puppies, mac and alligator and save room for carrot cake!
Restaurant was Closed. Open table allowed us to book even though restaurant was shut. Poor
OMG! Some of the best BBQ I've ever had!
We’ve been here many times for dinner so we decided to come in for an impromptu brunch. And boy we were disappointed in the food. The service, however, was excellent. My ribs were overcooked, the kitchen didn’t have coleslaw, the southern Benedict was tepid warm and the meat on the dish was very dry. Disappointed for sure.
Awesome food. Great Atmosphere. Mitzi was a phenomenal server-can't remember when I had a better server.
Great meal. Best the food has ever been.
Great service and great food. Felt like the dining room was a little bright and for better ambiance could lower the lighting a little bit, but overall a good experience.
Very accommodative staff, service couldn't have been better. Ribs were best in Chicago and prices were moderate. Pecan pie nest I've had and baked in house. A neighborhood gem.
The food was great. Service was perfect. We will absolutely return.
Food was good, no complaints whatsoever! Ambience was a little dull. Could have been just a quiet afternoon two days before New Years! Nice location and space. Fireplace near high top tables a good winter welcoming!
Great food, service, atmosphere and value. Always a solid choice.
Ribs were dry and not very meaty. Avocado salad was outstanding. Our server IZZY was also outstanding.
We made a last minute reservation for Christmas Eve! I was not thrilled about a Barbaque for Christmas Eve but it was outstanding!!! Our server was delightful even though she covered a shift for a coworker who had a sick baby! Everyone was so nice friendly and the food was awesome! Highly recommend!
Service was poor. They mixed up all our meals. Totally served one meal that no one ordered. Other orders and the sides mixed up. Couldn’t manage to serve the right meal to the right person with the sides they ordered. Food was good and the atmosphere is good.
I hosted my family for a holiday dinner for 13 in a private room at Chicago Cut. My family will be talking about it for years to come. The service was fantastic, the food was outstanding and the pacing was perfect. An evening I hope we can replicate for years to come.
This place was amazing! From the colonial looking exterior to the wonderful interior to the mouth-watering food!
I’ve eaten here many times and loved it. This time the service was really slow, the food was slightly less than its usual level of excellence, and the ambiance was a little off.
We went for a pre-theater dinner and our timing was great. This place has really consistent and high quality food that is fairly priced. We had a 6:00 reservation and were a little late on a Saturday night. But we were swiftly seated and were served as a perfect pace for our 8:00 show. By the time we left there was a full bar of patrons awaiting a table. Service was good and efficient. Very reliable all around. Would definitely recommend.
The food is consistently delicious!!!
Great dining experience: excellent food, friendly staff and great ambience.
The competition ribs are amazing. Great service. Place was packed on a Saturday night but we still got excellent service and food was prepared fast.
Loved the pulled pork sandwich and hush puppies!
We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and found Chicago Q about 2 1/2 years ago when in Chicago for a friends wedding. It is the best brunch. I had the pulled pork Benedict over fried green tomatoes and it was fantastic.
Went for Sunday brunch at 1pm on a rainy day. At that time, only few other tables were occupied so it was fairly quiet. The food was amazing with great portion size - both of us were unable to finish everything and had to take the rest to go. Service was great! Will definitely return
Out of town guests
Sorry to say that in my memory the quality was better. Especially on Thanksgiving. After diner they gave me the feeling that they would be happy if I would leave quickly. Maybe it was a little bit special because they closed at 8.00 pm and it was already 7.00 pm
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We went for Thanksgiving and had wonderful choices; my husband ordered the traditional turkey plate while my daughters and I opted for ribs, brisket and chicken with sides of coleslaw, fries and baked beans respectively. We started with fried green tomatoes which were crispy and flavorful without being greasy in any way. I had a hot cider rum cocktail and my husband tried the Old Fashioned - both were excellent. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere made it feel homey and inviting. We will definitely be back when in Chicago again!
Went here for our Thanksgiving dinner. It was phenomenal! We both got the turkey which included gravy, cornbread stuffing, cranberry compote, and choice of 2 sides (mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts). The meal was finished with pumpkin pie! Best Thanksgiving meal we’ve ever had!
The best barbeque I've had in Chicago...amazing dry rub and meat so juicy that the dipping sauces are not needed (but tasty nonetheless).
Quick meal in for date night ! Service was great as usual
Jameson was our server and he took amazing care of us! We were a table of 12 and he never missed a beat! The food was amazing and we can't wait to get back there.
We came to Chicago q after a movie and had a wonderful dinner in the high tops by the front bar. The front room is my very favorite — relaxed, comfortable feeling. The cocktails were great and we shared one of the bbq platters. Highly recommend!
Our server forgot our drinks. Our server ever checked on us when we got our food. Our appetizer took at least 30min. And on top of everything else the food was just subpar.
Friday night, group of 8, everyone loved the food and drinks. Desserts were HUGE! Highly recommend.
Get the trio!
Food was absolutely amazing! Service was attentive but not rushed - we had a wonderful evening.
