The Chip’s salad is worth the hype, very delicious! The rigatoni bolognese was fantastic and served hot. Overall, Excellent meal. Can’t beat a $10 bowl of pasta and a $4 side salad for lunch. If you’re in the area, I recommend taking advantage of the amazing lunch specials. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks again!

Our food was excellent, the pasta in vodka sauce is yummy. My only issue is how dated the interior looks.
Brown ceiling grid, water damage on the ceiling panels, that god awful carpet and the lighting is extremely bright making one feel as if it is last call.
A little update would make it fantastic, but again let us not forget that the pasta was amazing!!!!!!!!

COVID clean! Nicely spaced indoor seating - server was super friendly, attentive, wore a mask (of course) and the food was FABULOUS! They let me get a dinner menu item during lunch - drooling gnocchi - which is delicious!

We love this restaurant! We used to visit often when we lived in the Philly area, but have been living in Florida for 18 years so not much of a chance to go. Our favorite dish is their chicken caccitore. Unfortunately it was not on the menu. Fortunately they made it for us!!! It was a delicious as ever. A generous portion of chicken balanced with onions, peppers, mushrooms and a thick tomato gravy.....or sauce if you are not from Philly. If you are in Baltimore, Inner Harbor area, do not miss this great family run restaurant.

Our favorite restaurant in little Italy. Have been going there for years and the food is always the best, especially their salad.

You have matched the standards I have come to expect at Chiapparelli's. Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly wait staff, available valet parking and attractive atmosphere. There are many places to eat in Little Italy and your's is my favorite. I recommend Chiapparelli's to friends visiting Baltimore and tell them that Little Italy is one of the safest places in the city, both day and night.
Terrible experience for a birthday dinner of 12 guests. We were seated upstairs & it is as if the entire server staff forgot we were there. We were unable to have drinks refilled & had 2 meals sent back for being undercooked.
Would absolutely NOT recommend this restaurant to any other guests.
Chips always delivers in terms of their food! I will keep going back because of that. However, the service was horrendous! Our waiter couldn’t keep up with our large party. The nasty old bat at the front left plenty to be desired as well! They messed up the number in our reservation and squeezed a tiny table at the end making it quite uncomfortable. When I went to discuss it with them, this older women was just horrible. I hope she’s one of the owners otherwise she needs to get fired...rude!

Went for a birthday dinner. Service was lacking at best. Had to ask for water several times. Returned drink because it was missing several of the ingredients. Food was bland and had to ask for cocktail menu. Didn’t offer dessert or anything for birthday when it was mentioned in reservation.
Our waiter Scott was just the best. It was a very busy night but he handled that whole dinning room on his own and he did it fabulously. The house salad was out of this world, the garlic bread was great and the pasta was just 👌🏻( chef’s kiss). I am not from Baltimore but if I was I would come here all the time.
Went here with family after seeing a matinee at the Hippodrome. Food was good, they were able to easily accommodate our party of 6, and there were a good amount of vegetarian options. I enjoyed that all entrees came with a salad, and the bread was good! Ambience was very much classic American Italian restaurant. Parking was not the best, I can’t imagine trying to find a space at a peak time.
So there is only one possibility for the experience that my wife and I had here last Friday: this place does not understand what a reservation is or how to honor one. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation to a line out the door and a crowded lobby with no hostess in sight. The people in line ahead of us had reservations for as much as 45 minutes earlier and had not been able to check in. When the hostess finally showed up she simply started taking names and party numbers on a blank piece of paper. When I asked if she was checking the list against reservations, she said "sure" and ostentatiously rolled her eyes. About 45 minutes after our reservation time, with no end in sight, we managed to snare a couple of seats at the bar (not exactly what we had in mind for our Valentine's weekend date). Even there, it took about 10 minutes before the bartender acknowledged our presence and took our drink orders.
The food was fine. It wasn't bad or anything but it also wans't particularly good relative to the price and the headaches it took just to find a place to sit.
This review is limited to our check-in experience. When we showed up there were over 20 people clamoring to get the attention of the hostess who was only there occasionally. It was complete chaos.
She had no idea who had a reservation and who was a walk in.

A few hours before our reservation, I called to confirm. I called the restaurant 5 times over the course of the few hours- no answer or call back.
We arrived at Chiapparelli’s on time (7:15pm) to find a ton of people standing in the lobby. No hostess to be found. Everyone was saying that they too had made reservations. Finally a hostess arrives and starts taking down our names. Apparently it didn’t matter if we had made a reservation or not. “Everyone has reservations at this point” the hostess proclaimed to us all.
After we got our name on “the list”, we waited for another 10 minutes or so before we were seated. All in all, we were probably seated about 20 minutes after our initial reservation time.
When we were seated, I was pleasantly surprised. We sat upstairs in a room with string lights hanging from the ceiling, and with exposed brick wall. It was much quieter than the downstairs. We were brought water, and the waitress took our drink order. Unfortunately there were no available wine lists at the time so we just ordered Sauv Blanc.
We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer. It was the most elevated version of mozzarella sticks we’d ever have. They were delicious! For our entrees, I ordered the Chicken Vincenzo and my boyfriend ordered the Drooling Gnocchi. Both came with Chip’s salad.
The food came quickly, but I was brought the wrong dish. The waitress ran away quickly so I had to wait til she came back around to tell her I got the wrong food. When I told her, she seemed annoyed. I told her what I had ordered, and she double checked her notebook to make sure. It felt like she didn’t trust me. A few minutes later she came back with the correct dish.
The waitress was all over the place- that would be my main complaint. Luckily the quality of the food made all of the waiting and waitress mishaps worth it. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt- it was Valentine’s Day weekend. Overall we enjoyed our experience and we will be back.
They are often busy but on this particular evening, they were packed and backed up. Even though most people had reservations we still had to wait. Ours was 20 minutes, which I spent at the bar. To be fair it was Valentine’s weekend. I enjoyed my wait because the locals who come there to unwind and hang out make it a great time.
Anyway, the quality of the food did not disappoint. The staff, although insanely busy were so pleasant and composed. This establishment is passionate about their food, service, ambiance, and are a mainstay and favorite of Little Italy. I frequent the district and go to other restaurants, but they are my favorite. Chiapparelli’s appreciate their patrons and they love this work. Most, if not all of the staff have been working in the restaurant business since they were young. Another great point is the prices...great value for the money. I always order a meal to go, because I need a day after meal. They have wonderful food, I love the garlic dressing of their salad and just great meals overall.
They offer valet parking for $10, but there is ample parking in other garages just a few blocks away for the same if not less.

We waited 2 hours for our food. We were told the kitchen couldn't handle all the couples and usually has larger parties which are easier to manage. However, everyone had reservations, so the kitchen should have been staffed appropriately. My dish was ok but not great and my husband's seafood dish was inedible as more than 1/2 of the items had unopened shells. We will not return.
The salad is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was great and our dinner was fabulous. The server was absolutely so rude, counted our money three times as if we were trying to rip him off, brought our drinks to us in smaller and smaller glasses with each round and overall should not be in the hospitality business at all.
It was very busy and our waitress was hard to catch but she did her best. The food was good and we enjoyed ourselves.

The restaurant literally didn’t honor reservations when we got there. We were told it would be at least 1.5 hours to be seated when we got there for our 8:30 reservation. This genuinely ruined our Valentines Day.
Do not try to go to this restaurant on Valentines Day thinking a reservation will be honored.
We have never experienced anything like what was happening when we entered the restaurant. The line was literally out the door and flowing into the street. About 100 people were jammed nose to nose in the vestibule. You literally could not move. A fire marshall would have closed the establishment if he/she saw what was happening. There was one gruff hostess who was also in charge of seating the customers. You had to search for her and then she rudely wrote your name on a scrap of paper. It was first come first served, she was not using the reservation system at all. When customers were telling her they had a reservation she just said, yeah, yeah. We were seated thirty minutes after our reservation, (with no concern and no apology on her part) only because so many people just walked out when they saw she wasn’t using their reservations as a guide to seating people. We met people that were still waiting to be seated an hour or more after their reservation times.
We found another worker and asked her to please check us in on her tablet because we wanted to be able to notify Open Table about our experience. I wish I had taken a few photos because words can not really describe the chaos. If an establishment has been in business since the 1940’s I would think they would know how to handle a holiday crowd in a way that would not ruin the customer’s experience.
I had dined at Chiapparelli’s years ago and wanted to go back for Valentine’s as my girlfriend had never been. I had made a reservation days prior for 8:30PM via OpenTable. I thought it was a little odd that such a popular restaurant even had reservations still available, but I guess I became very much aware for that, after we arrived. As our Uber arrives we see a long line out the door. Many of the people standing in line said they had been waiting for over an hour and they too had made reservations. After waiting my turn, I had finally gotten a chance to speak with the host to ask if there was any possibility that our reservation would be honored in a timely manor. She responded with “its Valentine’s Day, there is a wait”. I by all means understand what it’s like to work in a busy restaurant on Valentine’s Day, but to follow up her previous statement after I had mentioned it was poor customer service she responds “yeah well I guess something works, we’ve been here 70 years”. All in all, I was very disappointed to have made a reservation for an establishment and to have it turned down, especially on such a special night. We immediately left and went next-door to Amicci’s where we had much better food and the service was incredible. Restaurants in Baltimore have such a “volume-mentality” that they don’t care if you leave feeling displeased because another group of patrons will be right in the door. Places like Chiapparelli’s need to be careful because treating customers like this, will not sustain business. Anyone reading, I would be very skeptical that if you take the time and effort to go into the city and you think you are safe because you have a reservation, definitely go somewhere else.
I made an 8:15 reservation at Chiapparelli's on Valentines Day. When we arrived at Chiapparelli's we were met with a long line out the door, and a crowd inside the waiting area. We discovered that Chiapparelli's was not honoring online reservations. Anyone who arrived with a reservation was put on a wait list as if they had no reservation at all. Needless to say we did not eat at Chiapparelli's as expected, and do not plan to eat there anytime soon.
Made reservations for 02/14 and there was still over a 30 minute wait to be seated. Line was wrapped outside the door just to be checked in. Reservations were not organized and people were not seated in a proper manner.
Not sure what to say. We had a reservation for Valentine’s Day. Arrived on time to the restaurant and there was a line outside of the restaurant of other parties with reservations waiting to check in. We waited outside in the cold for 15 minutes before we decided to find somewhere else to go. Incredibly disappointed.
