Our famous, secret recipe house salad dressing tossed with lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini & freshly grated parmesan cheese
Layers of fresh pasta & Italian cheeses, homemade tomato or meat sauce
Veal scaloppini, Marsala sauce, spinach, prosciutto & provolone
Overall a good dining experience. I didn't like the Fettuccine Alfredo, not enough cheese flavor, in my Tour of Italy. Salad and calamari were excellent. Everyone else loved their choices. My party of 5 dined sufficiently, with a bottle of Moscato di Asti, for under $200 including 18% tip.
We sat outside and had a nice breeze making it like we were in Italy.
This restaurant was probably good at one time but that was long gone with the unseasoned and ill prepared food. Fried calamari was frozen and unevenly cut, the arancini was also frozen and not made in house. It looked like fried mochi balls. The house salad was limp and damp. I ordered the seafood pasta and at $30 it should have been more than a mix of frozen subpar mini seafood mix in a bag that was slung together with overcooked pasta and bad white wine sauce. They obviously have lost passion for what they do and being a resident of this neighborhood, we do not plan to go back nor recommend it to any of our friends.
Helen was the best! Authentic Italian food was delicious! Will definitely be back!
I wanted to love this historic Italian restaurant, but found that aside from the authentic Little Italy ambience and service from sweet nonas, the food was a little lacking. Perhaps it was just what we ordered- the gnocchi and the chicken piccata. The chicken was overcooked and over salted. Nice selection of Italian wines and fun playlist of old-times music. I'd give it another chance when in Baltimore and change my order. Seems like a very sweet, family run business.
We were vacationing in The Inner Harbor and saw the positive reviews on Open Table. Since we were within walking distance, thought we’d give it a try. Arrived 30 minutes early but it wasn’t a problem and we were seated immediately. The restaurant ambiance is charming and very clean, with socially-spaced tables. The service was attentive, filling water glasses without having to be asked. But it was the food that was the stand-out. We shared the mussels and the arancine. Delicious! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the pescatore and linguini with white clams for our entrees. Huge portions, and after the appetizers and the large, complimentary house salad, we took home more than we ate!! Well-made cocktails, too. But please update the cocktail prices on the Open Table website.
Helen the server was excellent and very warm. Food was plentiful and very good.
The food was super good! We loved the salad which we could have made a dinner of because it was so large ! We had enough of the main dinner to take home. Helen the server was very friendly and so helpful in menu selections. Great experience!
Everything about this restaurant is Outstanding!!!!
We got a outside table and had an absolutely fantastic dinner. The food was so good! The bread and salads were delicious, I was nearly full before our main course came out but it was so good I couldn’t stop! Drinks were perfect, service was prompt and pleasant!
Great location and delicious food. Loved our experience!
The atmosphere was nice and I really wanted to enjoy the food, however the entrees we ordered were just mediocre. The seafood ravioli was drowned in a pool of sauce so much so that I had trouble finding the pasta. My boyfriend ordered the chicken Louie and was disappointed by the amount of chicken, and was disappointed in the small side of pasta with sauce. However, the mussel appetizer we ordered was delicious and the service was great.
Highly recommend Chiapparelli's for great Italian food and a nice atmosphere.
No Italian seasoning in the red sauce. Veal Marsala - tough veal, flour-thickened beef gravy with zero flavor and no Marsala wine. Next time, back to Sabbatino's.
Chiapparelli's is the best restaurant in Baltimore's Little Italy Neighborhood. The menu is substantial, and the food is excellent plus it's very reasonably priced. They offer valet parking, and the service is wonderful.
Loved it! Great service and even better food! The lasagna was amazing
Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We started with the crab cake balls and fried mozzarella appetizers. Both were delicious! Then we received salads that came with our entrees. The salad was good, however the lettuce wasn't crisp and seemed almost soggy to a degree with the dressing, but the taste was still good.
The entrees were delicious!! My boyfriend got the gnocchi Bolognese and he loved it. I made my own dish- pesto with tortellini pasta and grilled chicken; I absolutely loved it! Definitely plan on returning in the future!
Came into town for a lacrosse tournament but stillwanted to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place. Amazing food, outstanding service and all in all a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to come back.
Our server was knowledgeable and provided excellent service; she was nice and took great care of us!
Excellent food and service
Great food and service for our party of 7 (with kids). Will definitely return. Thank you.
Friendly service and great pasta/chicken
We went for Mother's Day. Helen was our server. She is absolutely the Best! Very engaging, attentive and personable. All of our entries were delicious.
Overall it was a nice experience , we came down to Baltimore for a Mother’s Day dinner because in Pennsylvania it is hard to get a restaurant that can serve 8 people because of the covid restrictions .
However, we were a party of 8 Saturday night at 7:50 , sat upstairs in the back , food was great , drinks were great , we just had an issue with our server .
1) he never introduced him self( I think his name was Jose - I don’t know because we asked him twice at one point ) just walked up to us and asked what we would like to drink , not even so much an introduction
2) asked right away what we wanted to eat before even looking at the menu .
3) was rushing us , didn’t even ask us if we wanted appetizers
4) often didn’t come back to the table for long periods of time .
5) didn’t even ask us if we would like desserts .
6) overall his attitude and personality was if he didn’t even want to be there .
7. We had to ask other people who were walking by to get us stuff who weren’t our server
I am a server so I Understand the business and what it entails but I always mange to greet my table , make sure they have what they need , be engaged with the table . I understand it’s busy time for Saturday and this past year the industry has suffered and it’s not my intention to get this person in trouble but I would think you would like to hear form paying customers there experience.
Like I said , great food and drinks and restaurant however my family did not appreciate the way your server conducted himself with us .
Had such a wonderful server. She was so warm and friendly. The food was solid; The salad that everyone gets is remarkable, and the veal saltimbocca I ordered was very nice. I gave a low rating for the ambience because right now they’re only using the front dining room and it’s pretty plain. But that doesn’t matter. All in all it was a great value.
We had the best night at Chipparelli’s. The staff was so friendly. Our good was excellent. The atmosphere gives a nod to Little Italy’s heyday. Over the years, we’ve had so many special meals at the restaurant with family and friends.
Safe was amazing. Ida was very sweet
You can’t beat the food
We had dinner here on Friday evening. We were seated right away in their main dining room. I was disappointed that we had to move our outdoor reservation inside due to weather. The indoor dining area where we sat felt small and as a result was quite noisy. The service was great despite them being so busy. We got drinks and an appetizer, as well as their complimentary bread right away. The salad was delicious like the reviews stated! For entrees we ordered Drooling Gnocchi- phenomenal, and Veal Saltimbocca- superb. The portions were perfect and we even had extra to bring home! Definitely a great experience for our first time in Little Italy.
Great authentic Italian restaurant. We've been going there for over 50 years and love the food and service, especially their salad. Always have had a great dining experience!
Special thanks to Ida, Helen and Denise!
I am a NY native so rating Italian food is hard not to be bias from home. Overall I will recommend this restaurant, with an area was nice and clean. Food was very good! We did eat outside but stepped in to get our seating and saw a nice classic looking Italian theme.
The food: The sauce was impressive, that says A LOT! To me it's all about the sauce (gravy I know) and they hit that quit nicely. The Calamari was excellent, and the classic chicken parm I love was very good, I am just a toughie to give it a 5 but it is a 4.5 truly. Staff was very polite and the music was good. Overall great date night for us. Great for a date!
We absolutely loved this place! Food was delicious! Great service , can’t wait to go back!
I’ve been going to Chip’s since I was a child. Being there feels like home! The coziness is perfection. The staff are always so friendly. The salad is legendary. The drooling gnocchi and Montepulciano are unmatched. #charmcity ❤️
Best Italian food we have ever had in any Little Italy. We started with the sausage and pepper app, fried mozz, garlic shrimp, followed by their amazing salad and we ordered 4 meals to share, each were delicious. A Birthday Cannoli and a great bottle of Chianti. Thank you for the clean, safe, outstanding meal.
Wait staff very nice as always. Linguine with white clam sause,
Veal Saltimbocca, eggplant parm and manicotti all perfect.
Love the salad! Don’t change a thing!
Service was casual and unobtrusive. Food was good and the Negroni was on point.
The food was very bland. The wait staff was great
Great time! Delicious food & solid value for the price. Environment was classy but not stuffy or overly fancy.
Food was great and tables were safely spread out. A great family spot.
Food was good & quick service. I would highly recommend
