Ambience is always great. Food and service were good. Always enjoyable.
Wonderful evening… excellent food and great service!!
Great service with amazing waiters, food average. Would recommend improving ambiance and decor.
Wonderful as always. Thank you Pamela Ruehrdanz regular customer
This is an excellent restaurant.
It's quiet -- no TV sets or other mindless distractions. It's a place for fine, quiet dinning and conversation.
Our server Edgar was professional and knowledgeable! Delicious food!
We had a wonderful happy hour dinner at Chez Pierre! We will definitely come back for more meals.
I love Sweetbreads. Chez Pierre is one of the few restaurants serving them. I asked the chef to cut down on the sauce so I could taste the delicate flavor of the meat, and he did... Delicious!!!
The food was good, the service was very good.....but for a French restaurant I must say the ambience is non existing. I felt like I was a in a Starbucks or diner as this is a store front restaurant right on Highway 111. All I kept thinking was that if this menu and chef were in a nicely decorated location (not a strip mall)--the ambience would be 100% more and they could raise their prices and have a higher category of gourmet diners. Seeing people dressed in shorts and clothes for shopping in Target is not what I call ambience.
BUT....the food and service was great.
Very good French restaurant. Be sure to try the escargot.
This is a charming restaurant and the food is always excellent and the service is outstanding. This is my favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley, never disappointed and would recommend it to anyone
Lovely restaurant. We eat there often. Not quite up to "snuff" this time. May be due to the fact that the chef was out with a bad back. We definitely plan on returning.
We had a wonderful meal and time with great service. I had made a reservation through Open table and specified "indoor" (Standard) dining but when we arrived we were taken to a table in the parking lot. I explained my reservation was specific but the woman at the front desk said they were going to sit a large party inside so our table was not available. It was my nephews birthday and we were sorely disappointed. Luckily, the large party grew and they were not able to accommodate them inside so we (by chance) were able to dine inside. Other than the fact that I also requested a birthday wish for my nephew but he was not sung to while many other birthdays were celebrated. We did have some great deserts and went home to celebrate
We haven’t been to Chez Pierre for over 15 months and missed dining there terribly. The food and service was excellent as always!
Deliciously prepared food. Best sand dabs and dover sole in the valley. Nice to be in a place where you have the best food, can converse and have excellent service.
Everything was perfect! The owner was so sweet and welcoming, the service was flawless, and the food...out of this world!
Great service and good food. Liver and onions were delicious
The food is always good at Chez Pierre. The French dishes at this establishment are outstanding. There are always a number of specials as well. The pate and bread at the table to begin with are so good that you could make a meal out of them alone. The waiters are knowledgeable, efficient, and very accommodating. The owner and his wife always visit the tables and make you feel very much at home.
Our 2 guests were on a cane and walker and the restaurant folks totally accomodated them. Server excellent...food came promptly...drinks and food excellent....very happy took my wife and friends there for Mother's day. Good enough to go back other than on a special holiday because prices verrrrrry reasonable.
We love this restaurant. The food is consistently excellent. The wait staff is friendly and very efficient. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful as always.
Outstanding food and wonderful, thoughtful service.
Wonderful dining experience! The pate with bread was delicious and the oysters we ordered were excellent. Enjoyed entrees and desert too! Can't wait to come back and would highly recommend.
Escargot was excellent. Liver pate was great. Fish of the day was excellent, and the duck with orange sauce was very good. Overall traditional French restaurant with many traditional choices.
We love this restaurant. We no longer live in the area, but when we make our trips to the Desert for much-needed sun, we always make a reservation here and are never disappointed. The service is fantastic--as soon as you are seated, they greet you, give you water, and ask for your cocktail order. The food is delicious, and the prices are very good for what you get. We always leave satisfied and tell the staff how professional they are. No amateurs here--the Chef and down the line.
Great service and great food. The chicken liver pate that was served with the bread was especially tasty. Also loved the onion tart and the calamari steak.
We were a party of six and everyone raved about how good their meal was but yours truly. I ordered the liver which I have done other times that we have visited Chez Pierre. The last time I ordered liver it was over the top! This time it was grisly and over cooked. I asked for it to be cooked medium. This is not so much a complaint as it is a "heads up" to the kitchen. Do not despair....we will be back!
The service was perfect. The tables were a bit to close together for intimate conversation. The wine list was limited but offered enough diversity for all except maybe a wine snob. The Osso Buco was fatty and my pasta was a little bit drowned in butter but the veal was good but not bountiful. All in all we enjoyed dining there and will return in the future
Chef Pierre prepares authentic French cuisine that reminded me my home cooking . Every dishes were delicious! Sweetbreads dish was excellent and the beef tongue was outstanding!
Do not skip Pierre beignets even if you think you don’t have room for dessert! Those doughnuts are melting in your mouth.
Overall great diner, great service. Drive from Palm Springs worth it!
The food was OK to very good. Some of the bread pieces were very good and others OK - a bit on the dry side. Kudos for having room temperature butter! I loved the oysters; chilled (which was great), but not a lot of variety. My frisee salad could have used some fresher greens and the egg yoke was a bit overcooked; not runny enough - it was an average salad. I liked the mussels - lots of them and not overcooked and the broth was very good. The cream brulee was standard issue. Service was outstanding; from the initial greeting upon arrival to the waitperson (and apologies for not getting his name). He was quite wonderful - attentive, pleasant, friendly.
Our favorite restuarant in the desert, and our go-to Friday night date place! The service is wonderful, food is authentic and inventive, Pierre and his wife are the best hosts and we're always made to feel very welcome!
Both the veal piccata and the beef bourguignon were delicious as were the profiteroles for dessert. Great server. We had a wonderful time.
Just excellent. So good that we made a second reservation for another dinner while visiting the area.
Sweetbreads and veal kidney were both delicious. Creamy pate is served with some very fresh bread. Everyone was helpful and service level was outstanding.
If you are craving French bistro food, this is the place! Wonderful selection of authentic dishes, reasonably priced wines, and great service.
Wonderful dining experience.
Very good authentic French food. Escargot excellent and the Dover sole special was superb.
The place was crowded with happy diners, the service was gracious and the food was delicious. It was my first visit to Chez Pierre but it definitely won’t be my last.
The food was superb and the service was excellent. I use to spend time in Paris and miss this cuisine. I have found this quality in Chez Pierre Bistro and will return often.
Service was excellent. Seated promptly. The onion soup was delicious and perfectly cooked with a lovely melted cheese crust. The rack of lamb was nicely prepared. The beignets were light and delicious. My only complaint and the item that kept them from five stars was the escargot. They came out of the kitchen basically superheated/slightly burnt. They had a bitter taste due to the charred pesto/seasoning. However, I was really hungry so I ate them. Slightly rubbery but edible. The bread was light and fluffy with a crispy crust. I would definitely return and recommend.
We always have a good experience at Chez Pierre and this time was no exception. We took friends who had never been there and they, too, were very impressed. The menu isn't extensive, but everything we've ever tried has been excellent. My favorite is the orange roughy. The service is great and we will go back again and again.
