Chez Pierre Bistro
It’s no surprise that Chez Pierre has been voted The Best French Restaurant of the Desert for the past six years and has been rated “Dining Excellence” by Zagat and Gayot.
You may be tempted to sign up in Chef Pierre’s cooking classes every Monday followed by lunch.
Braised Beef Bourguignon Parppadelle Pasta
The Classic Caesar Salad
Baked Onion Tart with Goat Cheese
A somewhat authentic bistro with a menu variety that is a credit to the concept. Escargot were terribly seasoned and bitter, rognon were good, but the sauteed vegetable and au-gratin potatoes did not at all fit with the main course. My partner swapped the potatoes for angel hair pasta (offered also as a side on other dishes) and they slapped her with a $4.50 charge...you must be kidding. Overall this place has the correct direction, but needs both thought, refinement, and the chef to taste his/her own food.
Wonderful food and service
Chez Pierre never fails to provide excellent service and food . It is a real gem that remains one of our very favorite places to dine by ourselves for a date night or a fun evening with friends where you can actually hear each other talk.
A friend who is a native of Paris originally recommended this as a true French Bistro.
Great family owed restaurant. Staff is very friendly and they do not rush you through the meal. The chicken liver Pate delivered to the table with the bread is a treat.
This was our first time dining at Chez Pierre in quite a while. I'd classify this restaurant as a "neighborhood gem." The food was really good, as was the service and ambiance. No need to wait for that special occasion. Any occasion will do. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. And we'll be back.
We love dining at Chez Pierre Bistro and go several times every season. The menu has good variety and some very unusual dishes you don't find many places, the service is good and the prices are very reasonable. This time we took some friends for their first time there, and they, too, really enjoyed it.
Everything was exceptional
Every dish we had was wonderful. The service was perfect.
One of our favorite local restaurants. Always delicious with great service
The food and service is very good. We've been coming here for a few years now. Very consistent and never had a bad experience.
Our first visit was a success! Loved the food and we'll be back.
Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Delicious food, impeccable and kind service. We can't wait to return.
We enjoyed our dinner. Good food. Not spectacular but good for sure. We had the Sand Dabs and Orange Roughy, salads and escargot. The French Chardonnay was excellent. The fish seemed quite salty, but again it was good, just not memorable-good. The staff was exceptionally polite, but honestly it is unlikely we will return. So many other good options nearby that we enjoy better.
Hidden gem. Must visit. Incredible service. Impeccable food. Nice owner.
Great Birthday Dinner! Had escargot, Caesar salad, frog legs.
Service and food was excellent. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back!!
A very nice small restaurant with nice music pipped in. The appetizers (salad and escargot) and entrees (roughey and kidneys) were excellent, as was the service. The martinis are a bit small, but reasonably priced.
We were disappointed in the menu. If w had wanted Italian, we would have gone to an Italian venue, not a supposed French venue!
The oysters on the menu were unavailable.
Great restaurant! One of our favorites! Best Sweetbreads in the world!
This place is a treasure! Can't wait to return...good wine, wonderful food, excellent wait staff, charming ambiance.
Very attentive service! Our waiter brought extra champagne for my French 75 cocktail. Loved it
Excellent food and service. One the best in Palm Desert.
Excellent Food and service!
Alway a beautiful dining experience.
Love French food and was happy to find an authentic one in the desert. The service is attentive and efficient. They had a prix fix menu in addition to a la carte which allowed us to sample their foods — from appetizers to dessert. The wine selection is also great and they make some mean cocktails. Great experience — we will def be back!
Best French food in the desert. Excellent service Nice menu
The best French food in the desert. Capable and friendly waiters. Good value
This was our second visit to Chez Pierre Bistro and it was as good as the first visit. Arturo took excellent care of us. The food is outstanding and very reasonable. The Prix Fixe menu has several wonderful choices for the starter, main course and desserts. We had the goat cheese mixed greens and endive with gorgonzola and candied nuts for our salads, we both had the orange roughy, pomme frites, and we both had the tart tatin for dessert. This is a very cute and cozy restaurant too. We will be back!
Our first visit to Chez Pierre and was pleasantly surprised. It rivals a small Bistro you would find in Paris. Better yet, the menu is really French. I had the sweetbreads which were excellent. My wife had the evening special, san dabs, which were very good.
This will not be our last visit.
Food, service and ambiance were excellent.
One of our favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent and consistent.
Simply amazing! The restaurant is off the beaten track, and doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it's comfy and welcoming and the food is spectacular. When you sit down they bring you a basket of fresh bread with butter and a ramekin of delicious pate. We had the three course prix fixe they are currently offering (a great value at the price, the portions were very generous) and it was all wonderful. We particularly recommend the celeri remoulade, the sweetbreads, and the chocolate mousse.
Menu is to short don’t have enough selection on entree’s
Terrific food. Attentive food server. Explained the special well and suggested the perfect bottle of rose’ too.
This is the best French restaurant in the Cochella Valley.
Had sweetbreads and also calves liver - excellent!
Oh, the chocolate sauce over the profiteroles!!!
Friends recommended we try Chez Pierre so this was our first time here - but definitely not our last time! We love this restaurant. It is our new favorite! Everything about Chez Pierre is good. It is cute and comfortable, the staff is very friendly. We felt welcome. The menu during the summer is a prix fixe and there are great choices. We enjoyed everything. We had the goat cheese mixed greens salad, the endive with candied walnuts salad, the orange roughy with sautéed vegetables, potatoes gratin and a wonderful caper sauce and tart tatin for dessert. Wow did we have a good meal! We will be back soon!
Fantastic as usual! Favorite place in the desert!!!
Fabulous Food and value
Good French food
Food is great, service is great it's one of my favorite restaurants.
Truly a gem .. this was recommended by a neighbor who is from France . Everything about our meal was superb.
The service is attentive, atmosphere is peaceful, and the 3 course pre set offering was one of the best meals we had enjoyed in a long time. We are definitely becoming loyal customers.
