   Excellent food and service. The hot and sour soup was one of the best we’ve ever had as was the fish dish. Definitely will return.

   The atmosphere is old fashioned. nice. The waitress was abrupt (we were the only one in the entire restaurant!), not friendly, did her job but didn't make us feel welcome. The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about. tasteless, bland, lacking complexity or flavor. The Robert Hall cabinet was the only saving grace. We won't be going back to this restaurant. Has potential but extremely disappointing.

   Our first time at Chez Mansour and probably our last. We ordered the mezze plate and the chicken shawarma. The cold items on mezze plate were okay, but falafel was cold and did not taste fresh. Pita bread was cold--some pieces soft, but somewhat stale, other pieces crispy. The chicken shawarma was not very flavorful and in very small pieces, served with rice that tasted like it had been warmed up in a microwave. Service was friendly but uneven. No offer of dessert. We ordered coffee after the meal and were disappointed that our dirty dishes were left on the table. All in all, a disappointing meal.

   I was sad when Britt Maries closed. I hope others who felt the same way will give this place a chance. Not many people were there when we dined, but we all liked it.

   The food was excellent, but the service seemed off. Also, they didn't ask us for proof of vaccination, and instead had to keep the door open and overhead fans running for air circulation so it was a bit drafty and cold. But we understood. Background music was playing which would have raised the noise level, especially had there been many diners, but alas, the evening we were there, the place was mostly empty. Our table lacked utensils and napkins and after the appetizer was served and none arrived, we had to fetch them off another table. Hopefully this was just an off evening, and a future visit will bring a warmer reception from the restaurant staff. The food was indeed delicious.

   Chez Mansour is named for the owner, who is also the chef. Mr Mansour’s wife is the hostess and manages the tables.The place is spotlessly clean including the bathroom; kitchen is gleaming as you walk through to use the bathroom. The restaurant is a welcoming spot (both inside and outside), and there is a very handsome, antique bar along one wall. Beer in bottles and a decent wine list are available. The meal servings are generous and the chicken, prawns and lamb—all first quality and well prepared. The menu is vegetarian and vegan friendly and is halal. Our party of 4 was very happy with our meals which were well priced and accessible. My only feedback on anything is that the assertive middle eastern flavors seem to have been toned down for the American palate. The mezza platter—lovely—but seemed a bit bland. The sauces brought to accompany some of the dishes were of different colors but indistinguishable from each other. They did not add to the experience. It was a pleasure to eat at a family operated place; these are nice folks. Parking is easy.

    We had an early dinner so the restaurant was near empty but the ambience was nonetheless lovely. The waitress is part owner and was a stellar server. Her recommendations were well received and delicious. I will definitely go back.
